It is an instigator and I had it stripped and powder coated for a much more lasting finish... I have ridden this bike for over a year and it has not even one scratch! and I mean ridden everyday! it now does not have the xtracycle on it as it was difficult for my small condo to house all 21 bikes I have for other bikes I build from my oilybike ® website...
but I would recommend the xtracycle if you need luggage!! :-)
I started watching thinking it was the Big Dummy but it's the instigator very nice setup, were those hydraulic disk brakes? how do those handle? I use the Avid BB5 because seems hydraulics don't like cold winter.
The BB7 is great! I am working on adding one to rear hub motor also.. Im currently running a NiMH 72v setup... it is incredibly fast.. takeoff at car speeds easily.. especially without the xtracycle on back..
well 2 reasons I used it.. one is that I had it laying around, and 2 kind of gave it the motorcycle look and strength.. I figured using downhill parts would just add to strength and durability at speeds...
Great work. I keep clicking on your videos and hoping that one of them shows it running though :)
Keep it up!

I like it!
I'm a bit confused about the dual crown downhill fork though.
