Unfortanitly my QuickPWN doesn't recognize my iPod Touch 2. GEN. I've got the 2.2.1. Firmware, what can I do?

Sadly, QuickPWN can only jailbreak first generation iPods. To jailbreak a second generation, you will need to download 'yellowsn0w'

I'm sure there are tons of videos with instructions on how to jailbreak with yellowsn0w.

Assuming you mean firmware, to update, just plug in your iPod, open up iTunes and hit "Update"

Hey umm i bought a touch the day after christmas and i downloaded the firmware and it said that the its a firmware string error when i browsed for the firmware...do i just wait until the 31 when a new version is availible

Actually, a new version isn't coming out on the 31st, that's just an automatic check that iTunes has for the people that never check.

As for your problem, I don't know what to tell you. Someone else had the same problem as you. All I can do is suggest a google search and hopefully you will find something

You can download the .ispw file from google and then use that as the extraction.

You would have to call 1-800-MYAPPLE (1-800-692-7753) and then press 3 (for current apple products technical support). Once you press 3 it forewards you to that department (I hung up there because I didn't need their help and didn't want to waste their time)

Once you get in contact with a representative, say the follow: "Hi, my name is _____ and while I was updating my iPod to firmware 2.2, I recieved an error that said my iPod had faulty wiring. I was wondering what you could do"

but there are a few things that you must be aware of. Do not, under any circumstances admit to doing anything to modify your iPod touch (this means jailbreaking!) Jailbreaking will void your warranty and they will make you buy a new one

So, what you do is restore your iPod. There are plenty of videos on YouTube that say how to restore an iPod (look for how to restore to 2.0 or 2.1)
