  • The man inspired me. I was 18 and struggling to survive. John Starks was a role model for me and still is. Watching him play taught me the importance of having heart,

  • the knicks should retire his number

  • my main nigga

  • John Starks vs D. Rose!!!!

  • That 360 layup @ 0:56 against The Bulls in Game 3 of the 1996 ECSF was fucking amazing!

  • @samtheman7975 If it wasnt for starks great play in games 2-6 the knicks would've never got to a game 7 that year and im knick fan since 91

  • @pitopito121 I'm a Rockets fan, I remember how great Starks was in the NBA finals. He was killing Houston until game 7 where he lost eveything in that game.

  • one dunk is enough

  • Is it me or John Starks looks like 6'2? He's listed 6'5 and but how come Dwyane Wade and Ray Allen looks taller.

  • Man, I LOVED John Starks. He embodied everything about NY. He was tough ,gritty, and intense. How could you not love this man's drive, determination, and passion for the game.

The NBA NEEDS players like John Starks these days. The game is missing players like Starks and Jordan. Guys who will put their body on the line for a W.

John Starks is my all time favorite player. I wish The Knicks would've won a championship with Starks and Ewing there

  • @GialloHorror they lost becuz he choked... no offense starks, just stating a fact

  • @samtheman7975 Having a bad game isn't choking. Starks stepped up for The Knicks on, numerous, occasions and hit big shots. You don't have to look any further than Game 6, of the same series.

He, single -handedly, almost won the championship for The Knicks in that game. He scored 16 points in the 4th quarter.

Starks was a streaky shooter, and happened to have an off night at the worst time. You win as a team, and lose as a team, not as indivduals.

I'll NEVER blame Starks for that loss.

  • That 360 layup at :58 was sick.

  • John Starks was, is and always will be my favorite Knick. Not the greatest, but my favorite because he embodied heart. He wasn't the tallest, strongest, fastest but you can't deny his heart. PEACE

  • i like this with the song and all

  • Name of the song???

  • @111arbnor1 Anthony Hamilton - Coming where i am from

  • the greatest of all time!!!!

  • 13 people are jordan's accounts

  • what MJ legendary was the fact he was going against all-star caliber players. Still Rep my Champion Starks Jersey.

  • " I got heart like John Starks,

    hittin' mad sparks,

    pass me the mic,

and i'll be rockin' the whole park"

  • Como marcaba al mejor de la historia...midiendoi 3 cms menos....Starks era un genio...espectacular...unas de las mejores clavadas de la historia,,,,JUGADORAZO!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • 1:34 Wooh have that MJ

  • best rivarly in 90 ' s knicks and bulls miss those days but starks and bj amstrong is one of the best shooter for 3 in 90' s ,knicks in 90 ' s dangerous team i loved too see now lebron against starks ewing mason harper smith,

  • who sings ???

  • He should be nicknamed Ironman.

  • Jordan referred to Starks as the the toughest guy he faced from a defense standpoint. Starks was pesky, he was a great player and a pleasure to watch as a Knicks fan at MSG. The guy had heart, a true warrior

  • @irishjohn831 Starks wasn't shit to MJ dumbass.

  • @dacodplayer1 He couldn't shut down MJ!

  • one of my favorite point guards of all time

  • John Starks was the best player on the outside for the knicks,he had an amazing range and an amazing 3 point shot,if he had been on the lakers, spurs or bulls he would have won alot of championships, those teams were loaded with stars but Starks played head to head with those allstars and took the Knicks closer to a world championship then they had ever been in almost 40 years, the Knicks team died when they traded him,it hurt New York,it was a horrible trade,Knicks should have signed Felipe Lopez

  • Marlboro ad @ 2:48... great steal btw :)

  • Marlboro ad @ 2:48

  • definition of a one man army

  • Is corney because he doesn't have a title just Stfu u don't have one ethier

  • Man I'm getin tierd of y'all fuckin haters just cause he don't have a title or a MVP title so what that he only been to one allstar game that don't mean two shits you couldn't beat him that's like sayin Lebron

  • how would ya like to have him as our 2 guard now and again :)

  • what song is? please

  • I guarantee if Harper shot the 16 shots Starks missed in game 7 he'd a come up with 6 points.

  • it should of been a foul on Ewing for pushing B.J. Armstrong.

  • @mikesmoove49 dont hate just cuz starks posterized your boys, he would have gotten by anyways....

  • i miss real basketball :(

  • kool ass song and john starks and those old 90s knicks were the best time of basketball for new york.

  • what happen to John Starks or is He retired?

  • @CorpLab2001 i actually just played a round of golf with starks, he's like a 5 handicap, but he retired in 2002. but he still works for the knicks organization, i think vp of operations or some executive title. he got my lil sister tix for an usher concert at the garden like 5 years ago, he's a great guy. if there's anyone these new kids should be modeling after its starks. so down to earth, loves talkin basketball, just a great guy all around.

  • All heart! All fucking heart man! John Starks was a GREAT player. VERY underrated.

  • This guy wasn't a superstar for all the right reasons.

He was about the TEAM, about the CITY, about HEART.

you cant teach that to most superstars. Starks was a leader, it was only the Bulls that stopped this legendary team with a player who gave his heart and soul to the Knicks.

I got more respect for Starks than most "superstars" today cause they care about stats and money, he cared about a championship and pride.

  • John Starks was THE MAN!

  • His Daughter Tiara Starks Goes To My School Shes SOOO Funny Hahha Shes Nice Too

  • Starks was the heart beat of that 90's Knicks team. Always played hard.

  • 1994.

  • Now this is what you call a superstar. Not those arrogant fucks that play nowadays...

  • @m3phisto666 superstar? the guy doesnt have any rings, hes only been to 1 all-star game, and he doesnt have and mvp trophy. so wtf r u talking about "superstar"?

  • Comment removed

  • @imhungry4444 - championship rings and mvp throphies dont make you a superstar. Starks gave his all to the people and in return they gave him their love. The love of the game and the love from the people make you a superstar, not all they hype and shoe deals. Everybody in New York knows John Starks and still give him mad love. Hell, this guy stepped up and performed on the same level as Jordan in the playoffs. Watch the vids if you've never seen. He gave Jordan problems. Thats a superstar.

  • @zondervan123 dude did u just compare john starkks to michael jordan? jordan played with more tenacity and love for the game then anybody else. u really cannot compare anyone to him. wat u said before is the same thing as describing jordan but jordan is a fucking legend. is starkks revered as the greatest? no. half the poepl who watch basketball now dont even know who he is. but jordan will be remembered forever.

  • @imhungry4444 - if u really read what I said again, NO i didnt compare starks to jordan. That's what's wrong with BBall now, everybody is on MJs nuts. Yes, MJ was one of the greatest if not the greatest but even he himself said that he doesnt want that title cause he never played against his forerunners and he feels its disrespectful to them. Now what i said was that Starks stepped up and performed. Watch the games of the knicks and bulls if u dont believe. Everybody played MJ scared but Starks

  • @imhungry4444 -Also, MJ is one of my favorite players too but I know that he wasnt the ONLY player in the NBA with talent. U cant deny what starks accomplished in his career. Making it to the NBA is a million 2 one shot anyhow. This guy was a street baller who grew up getting into trouble. He only played 1 yr high school ball, then went to 4 diff colleges before getting serious about BBall and making it to the NBA. This man had heart and people love him. Most people see Jordan as a real dick

  • @imhungry4444 -there's really no need to compare the 2 cause they're 2 different players. There will NEVER be another Jordan. Let's accept that. My question is, if you dont like Starks, why are u watching this vid? Look up "jordan vs starks" and watch some of the clips. That game was like they were going head to head. Like i said before, the love of the people makes u a legend. Starks loved the pple. MJ was loved and yes he played with ferocity, but he doesnt give a fuck about fans. research it

  • @zondervan123 but if he was so famous then y doesnt anyone talk about him and y isnt he part of the top 50 nba players in history lise? seriously, if u ask anyone on the streets on who starkks is, they will say either no or who. thats a fat that i dont have to research.

  • go to new york and ask who starks is. and really, ask people who ANY player from that era was and they wont know. Wilkins, bird, magic. Kids r ignorant of gr8t players tday. Most of these kids know jordan cause he still gets hype via his shoes. YES people know starks but only fans who know REAL bball. not these whiney, $ hungry candy asses they call players 2day. ask any SERIOUS bball fan who he is and watch em smile and say "of course". by the way, when did you play in the NBA? Didnt think so.

  • look at starks documentary. its inspiring. Jordan doesnt give a shit about his fans charging 100-200 a pop for his shoes made in sweat factories. Yeah, I like the guy as a player but as a person, MJ is all about self. When the guy heard that kids were killing each other in the 80s and 90s for his sneakers, he didnt do SHIT. Now his shoes are higher than ever. After all the people have given MJ it's still all about him. Without fans a player is NOTHING. Read about the John Starks foundation.

  • I really admire the passion he showed on the court!

  • Hahaha you guys no biggie smalls fucked his wife lmao, hear the song i got a story to tell.

  • @AliiBaba101

Nah it wasn't his wife, it was hubert davis's girlfriend

  • That was the man. Hoopdreams...

  • Sad Knicks. A magazine in the early 1990s branded the Ewing, Mason, Oakley, Smith and Starks as "The Wall" for the toughness on defense. Widely touted to dominate the decade until the rise of His Airness Jordan and Bulls. Ewing, Barkley and Malone will always be remembered for this wrong reason. Fantastic players that never quite captured the big one.

  • if we had sprewell along wit ewing and starks we woulda won a championship

  • Kobe sucks. JOHN STARKS !!!! THE BEST KNOWN "UNKNOWN" MVP. NBA 80s 90s The best of times

  • note that blocking position on Jordan by Ewing and let starks go for it . . . CLASSIC !!!

  • I was a big fan of the NYK. I miss the 90s brawl PLAYOFFS. HEAT VS KNICKS. i love this game. miss the time when barkley throws the ball at shaq's face. karl malone, jordan, alojowan, sean kempf, good times

  • dražen petrovič in knicks team 1994 ewing starks oakley ewing haha . how many titles nyork have with him. if he decide to come in nyork . too bad he died in car accident. and we never know that where he go. maybe in rockets ? i dont know . but i think in ny

  • Oh, the memories. I used to have the biggest crush on Starks when I was a kid. He was the man! Those were the Knicks I grew up watching (Ewing, Oak, Starks). 90's Knicks basketball, those were the days... Here's hoping STAT helps the team rise once again. Looking good so far.

  • thumbs up if monta ellis is compared to this guy

  • If you look at MJ Hall of Fame Speech here on Youtube..He mentioned how he love playing against John starks Because it got his game that much more Competitive..Unfortunately for the knicks .But it shows that even MJ The Greatest Nba Player of all times. Has appreciation starks game. Even if he couldn't give john starks a break..

  • today my school had a prep rally about milk. and john starks was the guy that gave us a speech about drinking chocolate milk after your workouts or your sports games because it refuels your body with everything you need. it was my first time ever meeting a basketball great and i was thankful

  • You know, it's interesting that Starks, Get more highlights Than Oakley on Youtube.

Which I'm pretty sure he watches. It shows how much the fans appreciated him.

And the fact that John starks could've play for the bulls, But waived it. shows that he was Still loyal to that Lousy organization called The knicks. Who Should do something to show how much he was appreciated, Not just give him a front office job But something better. I love Oakley and Ewing too, But John was the Heart of the team.

  • why isnt there a John Starks hilight vid with a high energy and emotional song to it that better suits his hilights. I get how this tune fits his gritty background but it doesn't match the energy or passion he brought to the court every night which were his trademarks.

  • they should honstally retire #3 no disrespect to maurbury because he was sick in hos own right till it went down hill but 3 should be retired

  • @Th3Best0ne I agree, They should retired #3 I'm so sick of seeing different Knick players wearing 3..No one should wear that Jersey..That will always be John Starks number. There will never be anyone with that intensity and emotion in that team..

Maybe they could come close, But never like Starks .

  • John Starks got me into basketball. His fire and determination was second to none. I miss the knicks of the 90's. They were not the most talented team but you can never question their heart and their toughness. I even got me a lot of john starks posters and cards. Thank you for all the basketball memories john. You will always be an HOF for me.

  • DIS GUY IS TOOOO UNDERATED*.....ANOTHER KAT THAT SHOULD BE WHERE JORDAN IS AT....dis DUDE DID A 360 LAYUP onnn 3! people..WOWW!!! rediiiculoussss

  • That core team in the early 90's was just legendary ... Starks Oakley Ewing Smith Harper Anthony Mason Davis Williams ... Who did I miss?

  • @lonewulf44 i m bulls fan but this the best knicks in whole history . they playing hard basketball with lot of fauls but from 1991 to 95 they killed everyone in m s garden. missed those days in 90s bulls vs knicks. but you forget one player in that team and that is doc rivers

  • @master82565 Yeah, as soon as I submitted it I knew I had forgotten him ... and yeah I know how you feel. I hated the Bulls then ... and seeing the Bulls Knicks game on this CHRISTmas it makes me think of those CHRISTmas games growing up when I would have to watch Jordan beat us yet again ... but I loved that time! Nothing like it nowadays. Thumbs up if you thumbs down the Miami Heat!

  • @lonewulf44 do you remember toni kukoc i m from croatia do you remember his shoot over ewing i think, fight between jo jo english and harper, jordan always love madison 55 points 1995 when he comeback, god miss 90s. i miss rivarly between knicks and bulls , pippen dunk against ewing, i think that knicks only love playing against bulls

  • Starks is the kinda guy who says: "i dont care who you are, how many rings u got, or how good ur team is. i will do whatever it takes, and i will beat you."

  • met this dude today! super cool!

  • john starks was a bad mother fucker! awesome video!

  • Shoulda retired that #3

  • chicago bulls always beat him tho

  • John Starks symbolizes "Having the balls to stand up for yourself". To be able to stand eye to eye, toe to toe with Michael Jordan and say "I'm not gonna be your bitch today" is somewhat unheard of. Everyone would take that laying down, but not him. He gets into fights because he wants to win at all costs. Starks does everything everyone else is scared to do.

  • @TheAwfulWaffle00 Starks could not fuck with MJ dumbass.

  • @TheAwfulWaffle00 Uhm....He was still MJ's bitch. In fact the whole knicks organization was.

  • I think that there were more players in the 90's era who more heart and played for the love of the game...Jordan..Starks..Pippen...Reggie...Barkely...Clyde the glide and so on...basketball was so excited for me as a youngster growing up.

  • @klvnry Dont forget Dennis rodman and his mo town bad boys.

  • If every player in the NBA nowadays was as passionate and hardworking as this guy, the league would be much more entertaining

  • FROM NTN TO SOME THING WE MISS THESE DAYS AS A KNICK FAN

  • beauty

  • back then 90's their were alot of great role players on each team and starks was one them. he play was heart n passion for the game. today nba you really dont have that many great role player n alot of them dont know who they are bcoz they play 1 yr of college. today nba they play for money n highlights no great defensive team or no passion like the 90's so many kids dont know they are

  • Being a Knicks fan as well, I loved John Starks. He was all about playing all out every game. I loved his passion to win. John where ever you are thank you!!

  • I love the Knicks, but I'm a big fan of the Knicks of the 90's. Starks is one of the example of what they were all about. Played hard every night on both sides of the ball. Thanks for the entertaining seasons

  • Thanks for the vid. I miss the old Knicks: Ewing, Starks, Oakley ,Mason ,Childs, Ward. I'm just glad my home team Bucks have Kurt Thomas, who still plays like a warrior! Its amazing how horrible the team has been for a long time. I wish them success.

  • A great competitor!!! thanks for nice memories John

  • A great competitor!!! thanks for nice memories John

  • I miss John Starks. He should be on the Knicks coaching staff

  • 0:56 holy hell.

  • whats the name of the song?

  • @hiphopfoelife Anthony Hamilton - Coming From Where I'm From

  • Starks was the man

  • song is smooth bro

    YOUR A BULLS FAN ?

    Starks was the truth

  • holy crap, that music is awful

  • yo i met him today and got his autograph at SASF 3V3 TOURNAMENT IN NEW YORK

  • John Starks can NOT only Talk the Talk, but he can Walk the Walk as well. John Starks is AWESOME!!!

  • Being a Knick fan now for almost 20 years, i can say that John Starks LOVED, and I'll say it again LOVED being a Knick. Him and Oakley were the epitome of what those Knick teams in the 90's were about. Heart, defense and hardwork. It's a sad state the Knicks have been in the past 10 years, even sadder when I see clips like this and the type of players we had. I'm glad I never took them for granted.

  • @Equint77 well said my friend. It was a different game back then.

  • @Equint77 mission: stop to jordan, oooooooooooooooohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh yeahhhhhhhh

  • I always hated Starks for what he did to my teams...

My hate for him at the time is almost the most sincere type of flattery. I wish more players today were like him...

  • awesome sequence at 2:51

  • starks WAS new york that time

not saying ewing wasnt great but starks was kinda on a whole new level

he was the heart fire and swag for the team

the NBA needs more guys that love the game and played as intense as him

  • Comment removed

  • To this day, Starks is my fave Knick. I don't care if he was streaky, he's a guy you want on your team. So much heart and he really did have a killer 3 point shot.

@stilllife11 - It's nice that we can sit back now and pay complements like that. Back in the day I hated the living fuck out of Reggie Miller, but I can now respect what a great clutch player he was.

  • Had a lot of hate for Starks when ever he went up against Miller and my Pacers.

Despite that hate, this is the best tribute video I've seen for any player in any sport. Respect his entire game.

    Great.

  • I was never a fan of the Seattle Supersonics new logo and jerseys.

    Just sayin.

  • massive respect starky

  • this man made me respect him i hate the knicks but not john starks

  • I definitely miss the fire and desire he brought to the team. Not one person playing now that has his heart.

  • what can i say about starks i still have his jersey and proud 2 have it my man had heart, tough, and scard of no 1. when posturized MICHEAL JORDAN try 2 block thy DUNK. i felt so happy that my KNICKS GOT THE BEST THIS TIME. i 2 MISS THOSE 90's. BUT HOPE LEBRON GOES 2 N.Y

  • @vitito1840 Haul ass!! He didn't posterized MJ because MJ was on the side of him...

  • @Domini478

He posterized MJ , there is no doubt about that! If he did not, why are there edited versions of the slam dunk photo with MJ cut out?

  • @Ginu He did not posterized MJ because MJ was on the side of him...you can only posterized somebody if you dunk on the person...so, MJ didn't get dunked on...the main reason they say MJ got dunked on because he is MJ! MJ is the greatest of all time!

  • @Ginu He didn't dunked on MJ dumbass. MJ was on the side of him.

  • yeah , jhon starks was my favorite player, this dunk "in your face" on MJ,, grant, pippen, simply sensational, he play no fear, wonderful

  • @Ginu He didn't posterize MJ dumbass. MJ was on the side of him... the main reason that was a big dunk because MJ was near it.

  • @Ginu MJ was on the side of him. That is not dunking on. He had dunked on Grant. MJ was just in the picture. This was a big dunk because MJ was in it.

  • @Ginu Was a nice dunk BUT was not on MJ.

  • @rob23molina No, it was on Jordan and Horace Grant. New York fans will never forget that play. Slow it down at 1:38 and you'll see both Grant and Mike getting dunked on.

  • @CanvassBlack MJ wasnt realy in the play . I guess you can say he knd of dunked on grant but he went beside him IMO

  • @CanvassBlack They will never forget getting BITCH SLAPPED by MJ & Da Bulls either. Hey if that dunk is the highlight of there history that's fine MJ loved his ny bitches.

  • @rob23molina Even MJ respected the Knicks and admitted they were tough as nails. New York wears those battle scars with pride. Check out the youtube video:Mike Jordan vs New York Knicks; An Analysis. No one defended Mike as good as the Knicks. I wish theye were teams loaded with talent and attitude today like those Knicks. If you want to have a basketball discussion, I'm all for it but if you are one of those internet haterz who's on their period, don't bother responding.

  • @CanvassBlack That's fair to say but there toughness was never in question. It seems they lacked in other areas. And i am not an internet hater i just display my opinions. Again as i said before the highlight of starks career move was on grant ONLY but i see that it's all the knicks have for glory. So i can live with giving the knicks something to be proud of since a championship was taken by MJ's Bulls AGAIN!!!!!!

  • @rob23molina There's a difference between giving your team credit and attacking another team who you defeated. Lets take the New York Yankees or New York Giants for that matter. New York fans appreciate those championship rings but we dont dis the teams we defeated to attain those championships. Ever hear a New Yorker dissing the teams our Yankees defeated during those 5 world series rings? How about Giants fans dissing the Patriots, Bronco;s or Bills. That's why your viewed as a hater.

  • @CanvassBlack Good Point. As a Yankees and Giants fan I never hated on The Braves, Padres, or Phillies. I mean, I might hate on The Mets but it's for obvious reasons LOL! I never hated on The Broncos, Bills or Pats.

I hated the fuck out of The Bulls and MJ, but always respected how GREAT those teams were.

The Knicks didn't have, nearly, the talent of the Bulls but took them to the brink EVERY season from 1992-1994 because of heart, hustle, and desire. LOVED those Knicks teams!

  • @GialloHorror Yeah like 1 fan stated, if the Knicks had a 1-2 punch like Bernard King and Ewing then the outcome may have been different.I did like our brusier fowards Oakley and Mason. Oakley was the enforcer; big on heart and toughness;short on offense skills and vertical ability(lol.)Mason could handle and score. He went on to be an allstar with Charlotte but he wasn't fully developed yet when he was on the Knicks. He was only 6'7 and he wasnt the strongest finisher either but he was so tough

  • @CanvassBlack I agree. The Knicks never had a consistent, 2nd scorer for Ewing. I LOVED Starks man, but he was streaky. Oakley and Mase were physicla, tough, enforcers, but weren't big scorers, and it didn't help that Ewing had a different PG every year, or so it seemed.

The Knicks should've kept X after the 1992 season. Charles Smith was a powderpuff. He couldn't handle the tough, physical, nature of the Eastern Conference.

Had The Knicks had X in 93 and 94 I think they would've won it all.

  • @rob23molina I find it amusing when Bulls fans talks shit about The Knicks. Let me say this, NOBODY beat The Bulls in the 90's when Jordan was in the fray, but The Knicks played them tougher than anyone. Took them to 7 games in 1992 when EVERYONE thought they'd get swept. The Knicks propelled The Bulls to the championship in 1992. Should've beat them in 1993 but Charles Smith was a BUM! Did beat them in 1994.

The Bulls beat The Knicks, but far from, owned them. The Knicks were nobody's bitches

  • Starks was my fav Knicks The True Bad Boys of the 90's .. Bulldog Oakley , Big Pat the general , Mason , Savage Harper , and Warrior John Starks ....

  • I had that fool's jersey when I was a kid!

  • my favorite player! Man, that dude had heart. Miss those 90's knicks!

  • I miss the times when I would go to Knick games and actually expect them to win.

  • this video is inspirational...

  • Oh man.. I loved this Knicks team. Those were really good times. :-)

  • all missions impossible are possible

  • This guy had a 3 year run that was crazy he still remains one of my all time favorites ever along with D.Wilkins he gets no credit if it was not for game 7 going ice cold he would have had a ring being 30 years old he made the rivalry with the Bulls what it was if you was a Knicks fan anyway!

  • the kobe homers always say jordan faced nothing cupcakes & that starks was one of them...i don't get why they would consider this guy a "cupcake"...he would give their kobe lots of problems

  • @knowatimean I don't think Starks was an awesome defensive player but he worked hard and the hard work payed off. He wasn't a big guy either and always managed to hold his own.

  • @gojustyle

starks was one of the best backcourt defenders of his era son, pay attention

  • @knowatimean your right my friend..Starks was a force to recon with. I think the compention back in the 90's was tougher...Kobe should know better that's why his butt was on the bench when he first went to the lakers. I think Kobe took the easy way out by going to the lakers...He should have went to the clippers then he could talk then....I remember those pistons back in the late 80's weren't a joke either...kobe is a sucka..lol/

  • @knowatimean dude, most kobe homers believe that kobe was the sole reason for the lakers' first threepeat and that shaq was a roleplayer. granted, they're mostly like 13-15 year old boys who just recently got into basketball and know nothing about the passage of time in professional sports.

  • @timlamiam : good point...kobe was shooting 43.8% against starks...that's pretty good defense right there

  • @knowatimean I agree with you if kobe got D'ed up like the Knicks played jordan or the Pistons ouch!!!!!!

  • All Heart!!! Knicks Fan 4 Life!!

  • Starks is from my neighborhood and MADE me a Knicks fan, I was heartbroken when he was traded.

  • song?

  • Nice tribute vid! Starks was my favorite Knick of all time and that's saying something since I go back to the days of Reed, Frazier, Bradley, DeBusschere, Barnett and the rest of the 70's championship teams. The guy had so much heart and desire I can overlook the brick-a-thon Game 7 vs. the Rockets.

  • phenomenal mix

  • my favorite player too. nobody had a bigger heart and bigger balls than starks.

  • I can't argue with you...but he wasn't afraid of Jordan...for some reason...everyone else was

  • except rodman

  • When the Knicks traded him, they traded the heart and soul of the team. He was the teams fire. And when was on he was on!

  • my favorite player,,, true grit

  • The most dynamic player ever!

  • I was a huge fan of the ´91-´92 Knicks roster !! John was my favorite player - a pity that Ewing and Starks never won the title
