I was repaving the Popular Street Bridge when this hit. I saw a johnny on the spot lauch like a rocket down the highway, Orange barrels were flying over the edge of the bridge I got all my coworkers into the very small bus and drove them off all the while they were all screaming GET ME OFF THIS BRIDGE! It was a trip! let me assure you
i remember that storm. i was babysitting and this 8 year old would not stop screaming/crying, he made me have my mom come over, it was horrible, but their parents were at the game, and they said that it was crazy
That storm was EVIL! The roads where covered in trees and branches and power/telephone poles. I had no power for a week and had to stay with friends who had power back on within 18 hours. I remember trees touching the street and not bracking! A House had a 100 year old tree fall on it. Then we had a major ice storm 4 or 6 months later that did it all over again!
@hellokittycutie2003 God, that happened to me too. I'd never been so angry at Ameren before. XD The thing about this storm is that is just kind of happened. There were no predictions or warnings for it. One minute everything was chill, the next minute the sky was black and crap was flying everywhere. XD
i remember when that storm happened and i was at the lake of the ozarks and i saw it on the news and i remember coming home 2 st. louis and our yard was wrecked and our basketball hoop was down the road.
That storm blew open the locked windows on my eleventh floor apartment and cracked the ceiling from the preasure buildup. But luckily I wasnt one of the ones that amaren decided to douche out on. I only lost power for 20 minutes.
They're not outside, all that wind/rain is blowing in from the field. The people are inside the stadium where all the food vendors are set up. When that storm happened, it also blew out some of the glass from the broadcast booth. We were out of power for 4 or 5 days as well. It sucked.
That storm was scary, I was on lindbergh right as it hit. St. Louis has killer storms, but I've never seen it like that before, and I don't want to see it again!
Glad everyone's safe. A tree missed our house by like a foot. Unfortunately for one guy, a tree came completely unrooted and smashed a guy's house. Haven't seen them back since.
We were in Chicago when it started, my step dad didnt come but he regret it!when we got back, our neighborhood was out of power for about 4 days! *whew* and it was hot!
oh ya i remeber this storm all right i was in the basement in our home at that time....strong winds
