Healthcare is prerequisite to healthy society, it's a necessity and it's effectively a human right. On these grounds, a solely private market is technically illegal. And am I the only person who noticed the date of this post? Since when can you judge the effects of someone's presidency after only one year? Even policies put in place that first year (which is 1/4 of the time he was given to deliver on what he said he would do) won't show results immediately. One day it will be outdated, but until that day every time you rail against it you reinforce the argument for it. I don't approve of borders at all so, meh. Border is also a line of defense against terrorists who try to get into the US. Healthcare is prerequisite to healthy society, it's a necessity and it's effectively a human right. On these grounds, a solely private market is technically illegal. The US pay more per capita (and remember, this is before public heathcare) than anyone else in the modern world. How are you calculating it's cheaper than public care?

Lowering govt control means that govt can't just spend any amount of money without reasponsibility. And who is to say that cell phones are not right or air conditioning, or the ACTUAL car. What if govt forces you to buy their type of car b/c it is "good for the polar bears" even thought the car is bad quality.

Cellphones are not required to survive, and I'm pretty sure A/C isn't in most places either. If it was though, companies building property in such areas should be obligated to make the appropriate provisions.

The US has been caring to its citizens, however people need to be able to survive without govt entitlements. Reason dictates that a person should not have to rely on govt for everyrthing. The US has spending money on programs that demand more money than what the US has, hence the massive debt and economic problems.

@ourben the US constitution can only protect the rights listed in it, it can not add nor take away rights. If a law should pass that hinders a right, as stated in the constitution, then priority is given to the constitution and that law will be taken out, like the civil rights act.

@ourben the constitution protects the rights as listed IN BOTH the constitution and the bill of rights, and no where in any of these documents lists that jobs and houses are a right. A job and a house are PRIVILEGES, things that a person must EARN though work and responsiblity if they want it, not given to you or signed to by a govt. How can one deflate the debt when inflating the currency used to pay that debt, that doesn't make any sense. A good way to cut the debt is to STOP SPENDING

As for inflation, that isn't some idea I'm pitching you, that is what ACTUALLY HAPPENS. Picture this:
Say I owe you $100 and that $100 buys you 50 loaves of bread if I pay you now.
If I inflate the dollar by 100% by printing another $100, then $100 loses 50% of it's buying power.
I still owe you $100 but you can only buy 25 loaves of bread if I pay you now.

A right to a house means that you are entitled to have a house regardless if you can afford it or not, if you ask for a house no one can deny it to you b/c it is your RIGHT to own a house.
