The strange people were the ones not trippen. Yes Hunter and Gonzo acted nuts. But what about the anti-drug seminar? The more I watch, the more I want to see. The new film is out this Year, called the The Rum Diary and it tells You what Hunter s Thompson did Prior to Fear and loathing when, in the mid sixties after fleeing Eisenhower's US for Puerto rico following him in his early Years as a Freelance Journalist. It's not a Terry Gilliam film though which is a shame. Depp again plays Thompson but his character name will be Paul Kemp.

I read fear and loathing in las vegas and the rum diary.. and las vegas pulled me in alot more. dont get me wrong, the rum diary was good, he just doesnt get into as much mischeif in san juan as he does in vegas. he was also very young. alot of his vocabulary hadnt developed yet.. which is alot of the reason I read the books in the first place.. he words things very well. but yeah, I'm probably going to see that movie.. I didnt even know it was being made. figures after he's dead.
