hey man, I'm a classic rock/metal guy and I have a 2203 as well. I say to the above naysayers, get a life. I appreciate that you know a good amp when you see it and hear it. Play whatever the hell you want through it. I play classic rock and I also play tuned to C metal as well. It's awesome for either. Your clip sounds nice and deep but also has that rich mid and top end reponse that only old Marshalls can get. Even when scooped they still ring out. No fizz!

what do you think about laney ? or getting some poweramp (marshall 9100 , used of course) and marshall JMP-1 ? what's your opinion on using greenback for metal music ?

mesa rectifier can actually do rock'n'roll and marshalls can do metal as well ... they just sound way better than mesa rectifier amps . and i'm tired of hearing that "USA" tone everytime i listen to some modern metal stuff.

ignore that fag who just commented. i too use marshall valve amps and i just got my les paul set up for baritone tuning. besides, its not what gear you use its what you do with it that counts. your riffs sounded good, theyve given me a bit of inspiration now that im playing in low tunings. good job :)
