  • Great horns

  • Wellers best era by far!

  • I adore this song and the classy video! Real Music!

  • Love the end bit!

  • everything that's good about music.

  • mint tune..

  • Mayer Hawthorne WISHES he were Paul Weller!

  • Paul Weller is such a hepcat!

  • The title of this track is actually 'Have you ever had it Blue', rather than Have you ever had it SO Blue!

Still classy 25 years down the line!

  • Fantastic! Quase tudo passa, a música e o amor permanecem eternos! Graças a Deus! THANK YOU!!!!

  • from Absolute Beginners.

  • This song is everything to me. My favourite, with The Paris match, of all time.

  • I believe the name of the song is "have you ever had it blue"

  • Four people ain't got no style at all.

  • paul weller respected forever great music great memories meaningful lyrics great songs junysawrus

  • what's with the teeth...

  • Paul Weller went down hill after he left this band. His songs are harsh, aggressive and atagonistic. Too bad because his voice and the songs he sang were excellent. He should have take a step back and done producing instead. What a waste his new music is. He should bow out.

  • @USAisAntiWhite No mate, Paul Weller, and Wildwood are great albums. After THAT he went down hill

  • WELLER IS GOD !

  • WELLER IS GOD !

  • In fairness The Jam piss all over the Style Council from extreme heights, Weller should have never left the Jam

  • @popjoeandco Yo hommies! Why have Memorial Day? Don't they get PAID ? Is there a DRAFT? Didn't they ENLIST? It's their JOB. You posters are PATHETIC with your sappy prays and wishes!..

  • @popjoeandco Different styles my friend. Different styles. But true, either way.

  • Astrud Gilberto wanted to sound this good. Amazing.

  • this has the same melody (but different arrangement) to "with everything to lose" (on album version). is this version only released as a single?

  • @doubleredsx3 "The Singular Adventures of the Style Council" has the extended version of this; absolutely brilliant.

  • for me thesound of hot summers

  • After the Jam disbanded, i was pissed - then i heard this song. Go Paul!

  • @1sueism1 You and me both, but then The Jam would never get back to the heights of "tube Station" again. So in hindsight it was the right thing to do.

  • Meaaannnnnnnnn! The best part of the 80s sound machine...SC!!!!! forever!

  • DC Lee on backing vocals? Smooth man, like real smooth!

  • great sax player

  • The Modfather was brilliant now and was brilliant then! PURE CLASS!

  • lets get these comments in the year 2010! still love it. still brilliant.

  • "Cheers." "Chairs with our names on, actually."

  • Weller's a genius, and the other guy's not bad at all.

  • Matt bianco..........?????

  • yes I have!

  • This sounds like With Everything To Lose by The Style Council, alot.

  • @TheNicholas0202

Thats because it's the same song. This version was written for the movie Absolute Beginners. When TSC put it on an album, PW changed the lyrics to something a bit different.

  • @TheNicholas0202

Eveything to Lose was the original that appeared on the 'Our Favourite Shop' album in 1985.

It was re-worked in 1986 and given the new title for the Absolute Begginers film

  • I am going through a whole "I LOVE the Style Council" thing at the moment. I have promoted them ahead of the Clash and the Smiths to be the third greatest band of all time, Afer the Beatles and Zeppelin. They RULE! They have 19 10 out of ten songs.

  • @stickyundies ..well said, i can never understand, the slaggin TSC, got, i think they were class, not sure, if they'd be above The Clash, but yeah, they had some quality tunes..oh yeah, thats a class username. ha

  • @stickyundies

    That's a great Top 5, I can't disagree with it.

  • @beowulven I see you like Mulholland Drive (a film I have never worked out!). I had the pleasure of sitting next to the gorgeous Laura Harring on the Concorde once. She came back to my hotel room and we drank tea and gave each other foot massages. A very nice and fine woman.

  • Brilliant - beautiful and funny.

  • bland

  • genius : )

  • A little something for the dirty martini set...shaken not stirred

  • Timeless!

  • what would you have him do? live in poverty? a council estate come on .weller is a famous musician, imagine people standing outside your house mornin noon and night peerin in thru your windows. As for money.Do you honestly think weller doesnt contribute half of his earnings to charity, let alone his kids charites.get a life. The man has talent, and deserves every penny, what he does with is not our business.ASK THE CHAIR OF THE CBI WHAT HE DOES WITH HIS HARD EARNED MONEY

  • hey guys it's only musicians those guys could never be politicians

regarding Sir Paul Weller I'd say we could forgive him lots of

    things... as much as Elvis

  • bad video, good song

  • weller is the most unfunnies tosser alive the style council were everything that makes me want to puke shit music and has for his political views yeah do as i say not as i do he emboddied capatilism more than anyone he is and was then a fucking fraud

  • @wozzi7 I think you're a bit of pratt, but you probably know that.

  • @jemlush and i think your a shirtlifter

  • @wozzi71 At least Paul Weller is a talented song writer and performer. Bruce Springsteen sucks as musician and he's a left wing arse hole. His lyrics are phony and silly and he tries to come across as some working class boy when he's really a multi-millionaire, spoiled baby.

  • @ALTERED13TH yeah i agree but i still like some of springsteens stuff

  • @wozzi71 Springsteen was just getting big when I was in high school and I couldn't stand him back then. I always thought he was a phony. Paul Weller is actually a very talented and versatile musician but it is funny how so many actors and musicians play the anti-capitalist, rebel part and suck up all their money and live in well guarded, isolated communities and are often mean, nasty people like Barbara Streisand, Oprah Winfrey, Alec Baldwin, et. al.

  • @ALTERED13TH could,nt agree with u more its like they live repulsive lives for so long and then develop a social concience instead of doing something for the local commun ity they have to save the world i.e bono and i think the majority just want to enhance there image

  • @wozzi71I agree with you about his phony bullshit hypocritical political views but I still love the music of the Style Council and Paul Weller. All the rich left wing artists suck up all their money like greedy little capitalists and tout their phony leftist bullshit.

  • @ALTERED13TH great reply could not agree with you more

  • Style class and political integrity, and looooove the layered clever music. Loved SC in the 80s and this song is just as good today.

  • of course is he is a legend, get out there and see him more!!

  • a friend introduced me to this band a few months ago...great lyrics.

  • Brillant just brillant... this is music!!!!!!!!!!!! the best:)

  • QUALITY!

  • I still have nightmares about that awful film Absolute Beginners. Weller is the epitome of cool

  • @beckcd1234 Ilove that film

  • I still remember that phoney hype around that awful film Absolute Beginners? Great tune and Weller is the epitome of cool

  • so restrained, understated, cool...

  • sounds a bit like " always somthing there to remind me" great though weller is still god

  • Oh...and one last suggestion - a good dentist ... aherm.

  • what the hell!!

    Damned dentists!!

Best talented band ever. Thanks Paul and Mike. You do such complicated things look so simple..

  • @emiliosanchez You've got to admit.....not a pretty sight! But their music is outstanding - so he's forgiven.

  • @brightsideoflife64

Indeed they have a strange look but their music ´s great. I look for music like this time nowadays but I really don´t find it.

Moreover I find the lyrics great for the way they fight against depression

    They are genius.

  • Ah yes, depression "the black dog" as Winston Churchill called it - I would recommend this music to anyone; definitely - it's very good.

  • WHOA!!! A stereotypical English teeth joke. Clever!

  • I'm still in fuckin' love with that guitar !

  • This is timeless...to think it's just post-punk and in the midst of new romantic - it has references to the 60's and jazz. He was not scared to take a risk musically.

  • Abso-freakin-lutely ultimate cool!

  • When as a youngster I was looking for integrity and truth in adults I looked toward TSC. Wether perfect or not, they were the first band to sing about being imperfect., human and with faults, all wrapped up in a funky pop joie de vivre that has yet to equalled in music history. These things are what make The Style Council unique not only as a Band, but as spokespeople for a future generation. Keeps On Burning!

  • "After a hard day on the set, there's nothing I like better than a cool, refreshing pint of milk."

    "Chaehz."

"Chairs with our names on, actually."

    So adorable!
