I worked with Doug years ago and saw him take horses that other trainers had "trashed on" and tossed away as no good and Doug turn them into soft , happy and very well trained horses. Unfortunately, once he is not directly working with a horse his people skills are not so good. It would be nice If he would just stick to training horses and not get into his 'crazy' discussions.
CA does so well probably because he presents himself professionally. I bet he doesn't call people stupid (even if they are) in his videos. Forget horse training and look at his business plan. Can we get back to horse training please?
this is the WORST training i have ever scene! the horse is obviustly not happy, rearing,chucking his head, i mean come on,dont be ripping on the horses head like that. it doesnt even look like the horse has been worked much the hind end is way, way to tight!
I turned in the people that did 9-11 only to come home to being trashed wwhile clinton anderson sells all I work my life for. I came home from germany sick and if this does not change I will die. So When Clinton anderson does the same thing the people who trash me well all of lyou clinton anderson. Its time america knew.

yeah..i'm selling your lifes work as clinton anderson..i've never seen a clinton anderson video..im not big on natural horsmenship..i'm into performance horsemanship, i've seen instructional videos from california trainers who have 2 completely diff styles than each other and are diff than "your" training methods. why dont you make some more "tapes" of you talking to someone about clinton anderson and add more fake dog barking in the background, and mesh diff audio clips together for more proof.
to tell you the truth..i didn't watch the video enough to see any see sawing, i just went from what you said, but i use see sawing to keep the horses head down and in position if it comes up while making departures or stops..i close my hands intermittently to collect..i've read up on this guy..and seen more videos of him..he's a wacko
in reining..the horse is to have his nose in the direction of the turn...nose first..reining these days like a verry collected horse that can bend alot...for a horse to have a balanced turn or running circles..nose into the direction..son trainers like to see a little bit of the inner eye..some like to see more.."see sawing" is how you get a horse to drop it's poll..this goes back to the "verry collected style of reining..all he is doing is reinforcing the collection.
