I love this scene, the first true hint of Asukas feelings for Shinji (expanded upon later on in the series, when we see a flashback of her almost crying over the sink after this). The silence after they stop kissing and her morbid look is great!
In the End of Evangelion, just before the Instrumentality sequence, they reflect this scene with a much darker one in which Asuka attacks Shinji rather than kissing him. I love that symbolism of what Shinji really thinks his relationships have come to.

In the End of Evangelion, just before the Instrumentality sequence, they reflect this scene with a much darker one in which Asuka attacks Shinji rather than kissing him. I love that symbolism of what Shinji really thinks his relationships have come to.

@Mariks500 Well, I have heard a lot about this anime at school, but never even bothered to check it. Finally, i had cracked and couldnt resist the urge to search it up. so i just clicked on some random video ( the NGE elevator scene) and just watched it. idk, im always watching random scenes of animes that are new to me.

@belly8900 You heard about it from school? Wow you are lucky, their are not many people that I know that like anime, let alone like anime that is not Bleach, Naruto, and Death Note. And whats worse is than in my old school people made fun of me just because I liked it. Any way yeah Evangelion is an amazing series, and it gets really deep and interesting in the later episodes. I also have the habit of watching random scenes of anime's before I watch them.
