  • "Belle et bonne", I'm guessing.

  • Thank goodness man-made sponges were invented; these creatures are actually quite endangered.

  • All he gets is fifty lousy bucks???

  • @kozmon0t Back in those days You could buy stuff for $50.

  • @wingnutofcoolness yeah but nobody else usually stumps them. If they get nine "nos" but get it right, you still get 45 bucks. Stumping them should be worth extra.

  • He won the big prize!! 50$

  • I love Arlene's gradual, deep laugh (6:50). As if they wouldn't take it as a hint! They read into everything he says. It prompted a conference and Dorothy's head-tilt to the audience. "I'm sure it wasn't." What a hard job John has as the moderator, and he does it so well!

  • Thanks - I live in Tarpon and this was great to see

  • Yes, Arlene certainly is bellybone, isn't she?

  • That was a really good one!!! i sorta forgot sponges are alive!! Dumb of me, I know lol! Now must read up on sponges!

  • Or watch Beneath the 12-Mile Reef (1953) starring Robert Wagner, Terry Moore, Gilbert Roland, Richard Boone and Peter Graves. The only film I know of about sponge fisherman. And its a good one too. You can watch the whole thing on imdb . com

  • Wonderful. Thank you very much.

  • I love how much you can learn from this show. Thanks! :)
