@smartypantz25 Seaweed is a type of algae. Plants evolved from green algae, but algae is not a plant any more than Eoraptor is a bird or Australopithecus is a human.
Wait wasn't there a series like this in 2004-5? One episode it showed Paris and went foward about 220 million years, then it was a snowy land with a wolf-thing, and it said it was more related to a wolverine? I don't know if this makes any sense...
It showed animals and places far in the future and explained what they evolved from or where they were...
biggest mistakes with this series are the Megasquid and the Flish. Neither of those can NEVER exist. Megasquid would be crushed without a skeleton because of the gravity. Flish don't work because it's not in the genetic code of fish to fly or grow beaks. Flish may be possible with gene splicing but not through natural evolution.
@deathdude650 TODAY'S fish dont have the genes to fly (except flying fish, which glide, actually), but the fish of 200 Million Years in the future could be an entirely different story.
Of coure there's nothing wrong with being a nerd, I know just as much if not more of evolution than he does and I've never had a girlfriend there for I'm the prime example of a nerd

OMG that guy is the most stereotypical nerd i have ever seen high pants bowtie no muscle tone classes low shoulders arched back terrible hair style if i ever see him i shall gently bitchslap him and look at him in a disapointing way and he shall know why he was bitchslapped
dude the terabytes are awsome a terabyte on a computer holds gigabytes and a gigabyte holds megabytes now a animal that is a terabyte wow a gigabyte animal is awsome a megabyte animal EXTREME
maby we wont survive but... if theres any smaal change a mammel wil survive there is an EVEN smaller change we wil be remade ( not presicly but you know what i mean)
@xGamesAndStuffsx Oh yes he can. I had a political science professor just like him. Wild hair (rather like Einstein), unusual fashion sense, big glasses. He'd come to class in his slippers, pajamas and bath robe.
Well look "Alien Planet", "The future is wild","Life after people", this is life that we may never see. We cant survive 200 million years on earth. Probably a few hundred more years or maybe a few thousand as well only our robots, probes, and satellites would survive enough to witness these things . Probably very Intelligent life could do discover what our robots have seen.
i agree. if we dont learn how to use the tecnology to our advantige instead of using it against each other.we will be doomed in other words tacnology is actually our only salvation
really it all depends on how far advanced we get and how quickly...if we become advanced enough to leave this planet, then the human race will survive for much longer. but if we advance far enough to create weapons that can destroy our whole race, then were pretty fucked...
i dont mean just get off the planet with one shuttle carrying like less than 5 people at a time. i mean ships enormous enough to carry hundreds of thousands of people that can stay out in space for years without having to return, or at least long enough to get to a planet that we can survive on. making a planet survivable is a whole other story
I'm talking about humans not the creatures we share a common ancestry with, In 10,000 years we have only made our technology better, not ourselves. That isn't evolution, unless you consider we have a symbiotic relationship with our machines.
actually, studies have shown that humans, especially women, are losing hair younger and younger. it is suspected that we will be bald in a million years or so. the reason for this is that we dont need hair anymore, because we have so much shelter. thats evolution. were still evolving.
due to weather changing by then we would need more hair in certain areas of the world and do not we have to many chemicals in our food that change us, such as the growth hormones we put into our food, chemicals that are not naturally a part of us is not adaptation. Please learn what that means.
that's not how evolution works, it would only work that way if bald people were more likely to reproduce and pass on their bald genes, the way humans are now, evolution by natural selection cannot happen, because we do base our reproduction on survival of the fittest, what you describe is simply adaptation over a lifetime
You know it really defeats the purpose of the show, because our generation wont live to 200 million years, its still interesting to watch it and see what can happen, but its really hypothetical theories which we wont have to prove unless you discover the secret to eternal life.

No. Because this is a "desert", not a "salt desert".

Well, if it is indeed saltwater then it would still be regular saltwater. Don't forget the massive underground cave system.
