Thanks to you and everyone else for your great comments - I don't normally post answers, unless there's a specific question, but I really , really appreciate the remarks. No, I don't use steel fingerpicks for this tune. Most fast ragtime picking I do with bare thumb, and first/second fingers. I play Rev Gary Davis style quitar with a plastic thumbpick and I steel fingerpick, to get his sound.
