I live in Savannah Georgia and I just picked up a '73 Super Beetle. Runs like a dream 'cept it has a sunroof that leaks a bit. I'm not sure how to replace the seal or whatever but other than that its a beaut.

how much work did you have to do to get her running again? very nice bug. and a great find. how many miles?

Thank you! Well the original Speedo is in KM, but it came out to 76,000 miles on it. I put some Marvel Mystery Oil in the spark plug holes first to free the stuck motor. After that I replaced the Fuel Lines, Plugs, Plug Wires, Fuel Pump, Filed and Gapped the Points, New Battery, Changed Oil, Gas, Rebuilt Carb, and Adjusted the Valves. Then gave her a crank, and she started and ran like new. Invested: $200.

how did you come across this barn yard find? and by the way I live in Norman, OK and have been looking for a used or bug for awhile with no luck. got any leads? :)

I was shocked when it not only came on, but started picking up stations. It's kind of a rare one, too. It has a built-in 2-Track tape player. I'll try to video that as soon as I can. ;)
