I don't think whites are excluded from any of these groups perse (at least there were several white students in Africana Studies Club, Black Student Alliance, etc. when I was in undergrad). I think the idea is of emphasis on black/African heritage but not necessarily exclusion of other races.

BTW, it would actually be illegal for black orgs to discriminate against others just as vice versa.

The "argument" presented by this video is absurd and completely devoid of historical context. The NAACP, along with many of the other cited orgs, was created during a time of codified, systematic APARTHEID and subjugation of non-whites in the U.S. By many measures, such inequality persists, though more DE FACTO (in practice/reality) than DE JURE (by law), thus such orgs are hardly anachronistic. Plus most comparable orgs that are race-neutral in NAME have been, in fact, white-dominated/exclusive

I just want to add that almost all of these organizations are assisted by the federal government, that's not a false statement, a good portion of these 'minority' and 'black' assocations are directly funded in part by tax dollars.

These organizations for the most part were formed because Blacks were not accepted into the other organizations. Such as the ones that do not claim racial bias, however they give the Black Man and the Black Woman a hard way to go when they try to join. Therefore there exists organizations with African American or Black in the title, as to let other Blacks know that they will be accepted without racial bias. Study history!
