im Russian, and Russia is close to caucausia...kavkaz* in russian. and my father said that they owned one of these, we lived in a village back in russia. these dogs are also called "volkadav" volka= wolf dav = killer. these dogs are crazy, our nieghbor back in russia, his dog killed 6 wolves. but i was to small to remember that. but my father told told me about that.

Lakazev listen to Cuvac.. He knows what he is talking about.. They can stand the heat but not humidity.. I have 2 Great Pyrenees and 1 Cuacasian.. The Pyrs guard the sheep and the Caucasian guards the Pyrs.They work well together.. I do take them to my house in the city, but I have a large fenced in yard.They are not city dogs though.

if you have larger wolfflocks around you need more dog 2 counter. Also coyotes can come in packs they can lure dogs away with one or 2 coyotes while the rest attacks from behind. Numbers guiarddog directed at amount of livestock and the way /time they are kept when they are supposed to be guarded.

At night in open plains with stock that doesnt flock well, you need more dog then with the same amount of sheep fenced or stabled in a reasonable small area.

I live in an urban place .I would love to purchase two of these dogs and train them. I have extensive training kowledge. HOWEVER I live in the tropics. Will these dogs adapt here in the tropics????
