  • mine is a non turbo 13b and it occasionally does this too??? it also seems to hit the wall at the usual 4ooo but not all the time not at all cold

  • I've had that problem on my FC a long time ago.. I found out that there was a Vacuum leak...

  • you have obviously fixed it by now, but it's a misfire/airleak check all vacumm hoses and intercooler hoses for lose fittings, and even go over them with a spanner again just to tighten them up =)

  • @rotara666 SAME HERE!! but mine is a FC. not a FD.. weird..

  • @mathyu01791 no i didn't stupid

  • @mathyu01791 idk you came to this video and started arguing with me

  • @mathyu01791 but as of any performance engine does burn a lot of fuel

  • @mathyu01791 yes this is not a daily driver car.... it was built to race as to why it burns a lot of fuel also... aka race engine

  • @mathyu01791 o yea most mechanics are not rotary inclined so they are retarded... sorry you have a stupid one

  • @mathyu01791 hmm? O yea rotary is a race engine... very reliable per race just like any other race engine....

  • @BoostedxDC5 wtf.... rotary pistoned lol dumb asss

  • @williamdeavor haha funny shit dude... the lsx is garbage compared to rotary and its 3/4 rotations to the 1/4 of the piston...

  • my FB does that. idles between 800-1300 on average.

  • my FB does that. idles between 800-1300 on average.

  • 1. Vac leak

    2. MAF

    3. Comp

    4. TB

    5. tps

    good luck:)

  • Single rotor? fuel pump, fuel line, and plugs, and reset CPU...

  • check your tps (throttle position sensor)

  • fuck you

  • Most Mazda dealers don't have a clue how to troubleshoot FD3S turbo control systems unless they were specifically trained for it.

The TT is to flatten the torque/HP curves. The stock HP curve for a Bat is incredibly flat and you get 10 psi boost at about 2,200 rpm. A single turbo will give you more power but will have a more peaky curve with a "torque hole" at low revs.

A manufacturer will usually go for the flatter curve to make it more predictable. But the TT is prone to problems.

  • ls1 better? keep dreaming homie! ls1 you are nuts!

  • You said it 2346 to fucking expensive.

  • doesn't anyone take cars to the repair shop anymore? or is it to expensive now

  • idel postion sensor

  • idle control valve?

  • its all personal preference, im not saying your wrong or nothing just i wouldn't do it. im not a rotard idiot. i just dont see why you cant buy a camaro or corvette and save the RX7's for us that really want to use them for what there for, 50/50 balanced light weight, hp monsters but hey its your car.

  • i know it is, but what does that prove? nothing.

  • and heck your and idiot too?

  • Hi, which screw did you ajust on the TPS?

    Thanks!

  • drop 20k in that engine at gotham and ull be fine! mine did that too before i had mine fixed. vac leak somewheres. good luck finding that

  • even if it was, a vac leak, just take a can of carb cleaner, or WD-40. and spray it in different places in the engine bay, the car will rev, and then want to die out when youve hit the leak, now stick your head in there and replace. thats not 20K. If its a vacuum leak which i doubt.

  • hahahhahahaha i missed this comment last time. HAHAHAHAHa thats tear laughter quality :D !

  • isnt your oil pressure a little low?

i have a funny problem with idle on my rx...going to look at my tps!

  • maybe a valve adjustment XD HAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!! jokes... im running off coolant right now. not a pretty site :(

  • omg me too what a bitch!! lol and mines the fd, i have a feelings its gonna be expen$ive

  • haha yeah man i was driving home from the river this summer right after my last comment pretty much on this video and guess what??? total coolant seal failure.. the rear rotor housing was running on water and man did it sound fucked up! where do you live i could rebuild your engine for you. its not that hard man you just cant rush the rebuild and cannot forget one seal! and its must be done all at once if you want the sealant to set properly. a 13b seal kit on ebay is cheap with pex seals atm.

  • well i live in San antonio and yeah my engine overheated one time cuz of the crappy radiator so i put a koyorad in it and it ran for about another week before it started pillowing white smoke so i ordered the rebuild vid for it and im putting a jdm 13b tt in the 7 and i have and ae86 im thinking about transplanting the rebuilt motor into.

  • a ae86 13b t is one of my dreams! hope that you decide to do that but dont throw a ls1 back into the 7 :( it makes me sad haha. what are you going to do with the fd shell?

  • well first off it would be a 13b tt and im putting another 13b tt in the 7 but i dont have time to wait to rebuild this motor so i ordered one from japan so both my cars with have 13b tts in them when im done.

  • sorry i dont like "TT's". less problems with one T. but have fun with "TT". OH btw dont forget "TT" next time people. lol.

  • it just depends, some people just dont like sequential TT, and opt out for the bigger single turbo, with a wider RPM band rather than 2 that run interchangeably.

  • yeah i hear ya. ive never owned a fd so i cant really talk smack about the twin turbo system. but i like rotary n/a myself. bridgeport tubo is also sexy time. i would love to try a pp even if they have no fuel milage or engine life. why not try em all. street is pretty lame without a turbo. so i also love turbos for the added hp and it just feels wicked. best sounding stock t2 is with a 3 inch straightpipe running to the back. once gate opens you can make babies cry for miles!!hahahha,

  • come on now that's just ignorant

  • a piston powered wankel engine LMAO

  • HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAAHAHAHHA pistons...

Since when does a rotary have pistons.

  • yup tps adjusting will fix that

  • it was the TPS. also check for vacuum leaks. lastly you may have a lower intake manifold leak. that will be a big pain in the ass to fix.

  • @paradoxbox1 do these cars have a iac valve? if so that could cause that too just my 2 cents, but i see u fixed it

  • mass air flow censor? on intake

  • seems to be a vacuum leak. but i think there may be other problems with it as well. i'm going to take the upper intake manifold off, redo most of the 4mm vacuum hoses and see if that helps things. if not, well i'll keep looking.

  • They dont have mass air flow sensors.

  • its called an afm, every car has one...

  • You might be referring to something else or calling it a different name. Only vacuum related sensor the FD has is the boost sensor. And in this case wont cause the jumpy idle.
