I just picked up this game and 4 other coco games this past week. Check out my video of them. I'd still love to get Color Baseball, Megabug, Double Back, Clowns and Balloons and Tron (was tron on a cart?)
Color baseball, now that was a good little cart (would run on Coco 1/2 if I remember right), even though I played it on the 3. The scoreboard would go into a cursive HomeRun anytime a HR occured, and it actually played a decent 80s rendition of take me out to the ballgame, abridged.
I never owned this computer but I lived next to a radio shack and the guys who worked there were cool and let me play the display model a lot. Downland was awesome. I liked the baseball game in that it was the only baseball video game I have ever seen where you could balk.
i'm 28, and i loved this machine so much as a kid. I feel in love with the game "Demon Attack" The coco version is a THOUSAND TIMES BETTER than the 2600 version. Downland was such an awesome game. I also had Clowns & Ballons, Dungenos of Daggorath, Demolition Derby, and, Super Pitfall! :)
WOw, this just sent me back in time 20+ years. The CoCo2 was my very first video gaming system, and boy did I play the hell outta this game, and Dungeons of Daggorath.
But them controllers were junk, complete junk. They couldn't stand the abuse NES controllers could ;P
I've been looking for this game FOREVER! My first game system was a Tandy and I had this, Clowns and Balloons, Dragonfire and some generic Baseball game. My childhood...
i found a stand-alone program of "dungeons of dagaroth" another great coco2 game, i have an emulator, but i'd much rather have this just as a tab in my "games" folder.
I love this game, I am 24 and I used to play this game (which was my older brother's) on a little tv hooked up to that tandy keyboard.... does anyone know if there's a way to play it on your computer or any other way besides the old game system????? i'm gonna have to root around my parent's house for it now...
i still have a cocoII and, last i tried to hook it up, it worked... i need to dig out the old, mis colored machine and give ti another go! i loved DownLand! need to try a few of the others i have stashed in storage...
I'm 28, and I had this game and the tandy coco before I had a NES or anything like that. Me and my neighbor used to play this game all the time. We called it the Bat Game because when that timer runs out, a bat flies around looking for you.
My stress level just went through the roof wathching that. I remember playing this game as a kid and I would get so frustrated at it. Great post. What a blast for the past. Has anyone ever beaten it? I got to the last level, but when I went through one of the doors, it just takes you back to the first cavern again. AARRRGGGHHH!
Awwww, I miss this game SO much!!! Very first electronic game I played as a kid; I have very fond memories of this game. Thank you! ^_^

I still remember seeing this running as a demo in a radio shack when I was a kid and thinking it was some weird Donkey Kong sequel I'd never heard of

My old CoCo is long gone history but I have this game cart in my bedroom right now. I remember playing it on my old 16k machine over 20 years ago. :)

yep, double click the joystick button and the balk would appear.... Nice realism for the 80s :)

This is probably the first game I ever owned. It was hard as hell, and I never beat it.

There's a few good TRS-80 emulators out there for DOS and Windows. Try a google search.
