wtf is wrong w/ people, Melissa had incredible talent and repeatedly wow'd some of the most renowned chefs on the planet, and she's from a small town with no culinary background. How did she not deserve to win?!

i'd rather have Melissa win than Jeffery. She may be hyper, but so's my best friend. Melissa is also down to earth and Her show has tips i could actually use and not spend a ton of money. I couldnt watch Jeff spend most of the show telling me how to get and use imported food which costs an arm and a leg. Thats my OP and i respect everyone else's.

Melissa seems like a very sweet person and good cook...but OMG I can' t watch her show. They seriously need to give her a sedative or something before they tape.  She's super irritating. Way too hyper, like she's on speed or something. I thought Rachel Ray was over the top peppy and animated but Melissa takes it to a whole new, way more annoying level.

I tried watching her show....but she's worse than nails on a chalkboard for me. I really wanted to like it too..but ugh.

i agree,,,she sounds kind of fake and the teeth are alawys showing..she must have cramps in her mouth all the time but, hey..there is a spark about her, she is a stay in home mother and there is a public for her..she is actually a very beautiful woman and very smart. i wish she would tone down a little bit but, she has what it takes. congrats melissa. just fix the exagerations of your approaches but they come across as performance.

Or Paula with southern food. Hey i know what! the next time they do the show, why dont they just eliminate all the guys, and then just chose a typical white woman. Her voice is actually very annoying, it does not engage me to listen to her cook. Debbie and Jeffrey has a charm and an approach that attracts the viewers to listen to what they have to say. And their ideas are far more creative to say the least.

it was bad enough to take an asian out of the competition, but then now they crown melissa as the next foodnetwork star?-.- if the foodnetwork was really trying to give the channel a little bit more variety, they should have chosen either debbie or jeffrey. Jeffery really should have one. Melissa is not bringing in a new perspective to Food Network. Sandra Lee already gives these tips. And Rachel Ray always has good tips for "stay at home moms" too.

In my opinion they should kick Guy off the food network entirely and give Jeffrey a show too. His idea was brilliant, there are plenty of people who like to try new ingredients.

From Guy's awful hair to his bad taste in clothes and jewelry, he makes me think the food he enjoys would be bad as well.

I understand that Melissa appeals to the stay at home mom demographic, which is good for Food Network to reach out to... and I imagine a lot of the viewers who watch cooking shows are stay at home moms looking for new recipes to cook for their families. With that in mind, Melissa did deserve to win.

I would just rather watch Jeffrey's show.

I think Jeffery's show would have had more legs. There is an endless supply of ingredients from around the world to introduce to viewers, but how many new helpful hints can Melissa share week after week before she runs out. Unless they are planning on replacing Sandra Lee with Melissa I don't see her bringing a really new perspective. I like her but I would have been more interested in watching Jefferys show.

Wow, I loved both of them! But I seriously had no idea who was really going to win. They both really deserved it! But I guess Melissa won since she has something in common with the other moms who like to get some simple things done in the kitchen. But I liked Jeffrey's concept of an Ingredient Smuggler. Haha.

I didn't really want her to win, but I kind of knew in the back of my mind that she probably deserved it. I realllly liked Jeff's personality and charm, and I immediately like him a lot better than her, just because of that. But I guess she deserves it because she was a very stable competitor. I was also rooting for Debbie Lee as the winner, so I was disappointed when I found out she got eliminated. Oh well. I hope they give Jeff his own show, though. He is definitely worth it!

she changed and improved every week, having more fun and being more confident. While jeffrey was on, he stayed the same each week. They chose melissa because each week of her show, she would be better then the last week, but that's just my opinion

Jeff got screwed. She won for the main reason that like the judges said "millions of women will watch her". Thats revenue for food network. His concept for a show was great. There are already a dozen fast and easy shows for working moms. I hope they wake up and realize how awesome his show would be.
