When you look at cartoons like this, you start to realise that kids in the 80's never had it so good! Great shows, great music, great everything! All they lacked was the internet and a few other amenities modern kids take for granted.
Man, I used to watch this when it was still originally on the air. Brings back fond nostalgic memories of me as a kid (I was born in 1969) in the 1970s-early 80s, sitting in front of the living room 25 inch screen color tv (the only tv we had in the house, unlike today where people have practically a tv in each and every room) while eating bowl after bowl of my favorite breakfast cereals. The 1970s truly was the golden age of saturday morning cartoons.
These particular credits were not used on the 1980-82 episodes when the series aired on "The Funtastic World of Hanna-Barbera" between 1987 and 1992; instead the 1982 end credit sequence was used.
Someone told me that on ABC in 1980, all three shows, Scooby, Richie and the Fonz had a shared end credits sequence (which is why I've sometimes heard one w/ the Richie theme segueing into the Fonz theme).
However, I've also seen a solo 1980 Fonz close at the Paley Center for Media (which was NOT on the TV Land airings - on those, all episodes had the 1981 Fonz/Laverne and Shirley combined end credits).
This now makes me wonder if the 1976-77 H-B shows on ABC, Jabberjaw and The Scooby-Doo/Dynomutt Hour, had a shared ending sequence as well. A D:DW episode, "Queen Hornet" (11/06/1976) featured a cabaret singer singing the Jabberjaw theme song.
Now I need to have the credit situation cleared: on the DVDs, what happens is supposedly: Scooby end credits, logos, Richie end credits, logos. How was it in the original broadcast? You'd think they'd just combine the two sets of credits and have the continuous theme song over them. And if they DID always have two sets of credits, why are they using the "Scooby" ones on a Richie Rich rerun, and why does it sound like it's about to transition into the Richie theme?
DOES ANYONE HAVE EPISODES OF Richie Rich cartoon(1996 TV series)? It was produced by Harvey Films, Film Roman, Universal Studios, and distributed by Claster Television?
Some other syndication prints (maybe different episodes of the same package) use the Richie Rich theme, and then go into the Fonz and the Happy Days Gang theme!!!
Oh, one other thing: I noticed that one of the 13 episodes of "The Super Globetrotters" uses only a pinch of the standard SG theme song and then it goes into "The Thing" (that being the other segment of "Fred & Barney Meet the Thing") theme. That episode was titled "Robo & the Globots".
If and when it's made official, what we still do not know is whether or not the original opening and closing theme will be present on these first 13 episodes.
Does anyone has original intro of the Scooby Doo/Richie Rich hour, The Little Rascals, Richie Rich, Pacman hour, & The Little Rascals, Richie Rich & Monchichis hours?
the richie rich intro is up on my channel.. there weren't really separate themes for the variety hours.. each cartoon began with it's own respective opening..
Actually, there were combined intros for both "The Pac-Man/Little Rascals/Richie Rich Show" (1982-83) and "The Monchhichiis/Little Rascals/Richie Rich Show" (1983-84).
In the case of the latter season, though, Monchhichiis aside, the other two segments was just one new Little Rascals segment and the "Zillion-Dollar Adventures" finale of Richie Rich all in its own half-hour.
That was because Richie Rich started his cartoon life in the hourlong block "The Richie Rich/Scooby-Doo Show." These closing credits were used for the 1980-81 and 1981-82 season episodes.

One of the characters designers for this show named Scott Shaw recently did storyboards for the first season of Johnny Test.
I went to his website and found that he also does storyboards for Fruity Pebbles commercials.
Wow, I wonder how old he is.

They seemed to do those hour cartoon stretches with a dual theme mashup at the end a lot during the 70s and 80s.

That's the missing 5%. I'd like to seek out a 16mm or 35mm film print of the original 1980 broadcast cut.

The second set of credits following this (for "Scooby & Scrappy-Doo") on the DVD release of this show are taken from "Scooby's Mystery Funhouse."

The Richie Rich theme, at the very end, sounds like it was performed on a Moog synthesizer.

The first part of the theme came from Scooby-Doo.

And the closing theme, this one, for the 1980-82 Richie Rich episodes is a remix of the original opening theme to "The Richie Rich/Scooby-Doo Show."
