also, since a flatlander is 2 dimensions below time, he would find it harder to jump through the 3rd dimension, into the 4th, than a human being, am I right?
I got hit on my motorcycle on the freeway. Starting at the moment of impact, I thought "Why am I looking at the sky? Why the noise? Oh my, I think I'm in an accident. Was it that truck I saw? Oh, this is gonna hurt. My bike! I wonder if I'll die. Oh yes, I'm on a bike on the freeway. This is gonna stop traffic. I better keep my eyes closed and relax and curl up. So this is it. I don't want to miss the moment between life and death. That's a rare event." and much more all before i hit the ground.
@Xen5s Thank you, but the point is that it took about 20 seconds for 3 seconds to occur. Time is not what it seems to be. The mind is capable of circumventing it. It's learning how to do this that's still yet to be discovered.
@1971SuperLead Actually this video is kinda sad considering his past videos. When you experience life threatening changes in your surroundings your mind releases adrenaline, enabling your mind to "overclock" so to speak. Most likely a remnant of our days as hunter gatherers. To avoid predators or whatever.
@Xen5s, I am a believer that the act of seeing is much like a movie projection. We do not really see fluidly. We see a series of frames and are fooled into believing we see fluidly. I also believe we see at variable rates. I won't dare to guess how many frames a second we can see, but I think it is way more than a motion picture provides. I also suspect our thoughts operate the same way. The number of thoughts we have per second is a variable sequence.of events and not fluid at all.
I've been wondering if it is it fair to say that every being sees in 1 Dimension less than the one they live in. For example a Flatlander who exists in 2D looking at another flatlander sitting next to them would see a line segment only, which is a 1D visual. Also a 1D creature would see only a dot when when another 1D creature's segment of the line segment overlaps with his world.
If it's true it may be something that further supports that we are 4D creatures as we see in 3D.
@cloudanu I wish to attempt answering that question.
I see the way you are thinking but that would be somewhat limiting. Time passes in our minds. There must be a 4th dimension for a brain or any other object to change its state. Therefore I can claim that we extend to the 4th dimensions as beings. Now a 5th dimension is required for any timeline-branching caused by quantum level changes. I won't go that deep regarding your question. ...to be continued
That 5th dimension is still a rather misty area. Some people are still in discussion about whether or not we are fated to follow a single timeline. Our vision of the world however is only 2 dimensional. The field of depth is only the brains developed power to recognize the shift in perspective created by our two eyes. Likewise, "flatlanders" does only perceive 1 dimension but with comparison of two perspectives it can create a feeling of the 2Dspace that surrounds it.
@cloudanu We see in 2D and not 3D as our vision is a flat plane of receptors that see only the forward facing view of 3D objects. 4D entities can see in 3D and cast a 3D shadow, we see in 2D, and cast a 2D shadow. This explains the shape of the hypercube as it casts a 3D shadow.
I appreciate what you're saying however consider this; Lets say if we're playing a board game, chess for instance, and we see it from the normal angle'd view that a person sitting and playing it normally would. Not only can we see the pieces move forward, back + left, right but we can also see the object moving up and down above the board. Since it is possible to observe all these paths that tells me we're likely to have a 3D vision. Therefore we may be 4D creatures.
@cloudanu however, we do not see in 3d. we see in 2d, because the 3D illusion is created inside our brain, which uses two 2D images to create the illusion of a 3 dimensional image. that is why you have no depth perception if you close one eye.
@rumive I understand what you are saying, but we see in time as well. Our eyes are always seeing in the past. They do not see the future and they do not see the present. Like looking at a star, we see what was there, not what is there. Time is a dimension. Already we live in the 4th dimension, see in the 3rd dimension and are about to "jump" into the 5th dimension.
@cloudanu thats what I was looking for, I seen a problem that a 2D entity would see only a 2D section of another flatlander yet only we can see the top of either flatlander, so I wonder is there a 4D section of us we cannot see, perhaps these tie in someway or another.
@cloudanu If we saw in 3D we could see all the surfaces of a 3D object without having to turn and twist in the 3rd dimension. A 2D flatlander can see in 1D, but can experience a 2D object by moving in the x and y dimensions. A 3D person can see every surface of a 2D flatlander by moving in the z. Because we have to move and twist in 3D to fully experience a 3D object, it stands to reason that we exist in 3 spatial dimensions.
The fact that we can percieve time differently is not a surprise, and intact quite obvious to most. Time still ticks away at its constant rate. The cesium ossilations aren't going to be affected, refernce frames will be unaffected ad space/time will be constant regardless of our state of mind.
I was watching a documentary about the human body, and come to find out when adrenaline is released to the brain, more people claim to feel time slow down almost bu half. The brain takes in more photos per second than usual form the adrenaline, and thus more information therefore giving you more time to react. The human brain holds the key. It's amazing.
@12GaugeLosAngeles hmm...the first time i ever tried smoking cigarettes I had this experience. Nicotene releases adrenaline in the body...which is the buzz people speak of. I remember my "awareness" seemed to "open up" as though I was drinking in more of reality. taking more in. Interesting idea...
@nitoro81 Money has always been in the mind, as money is worth what you make it to be. After all, dollars and euros are just paper.
Take for example Fallout 3. In FO3, currency is bottle caps. An estimated 10 bottle caps are 1 American dollar. Why is it this way? Because bottle caps are common, and dollars is rare in FO3. Therefore, dollars are worth more, and bottle caps are worth less.
I wouldn't suggest trying to change the value though ;)
the idea of reality just gets stranger per hierarchy, but i'd imagine the highest archy of truth would be really simple, thats my blank page view of the world, now we got to start writting on the pag :) :)
Every day Mr. Bryanton Sir you are proving that Science and Mysticism are gradually going to converge into one practical application of truth... Keep up the fantastic work!!

if the 4th dimension(time) is created in our minds, does that mean that every dimension above is also our imagination?
