  • DAMNIT CALIFORNIA WHYYYYY???/?

  • LOL! Good routine!

  • Well actually cannabis has been shown to cause anxiety, and heavier users have this as a lingering effect for long periods of time.

But I know you're a comedian making a joke, I can totally let that bit slide. I am entirely in favor of legalizing all drugs, because prohibition not only puts tons of people in jail for a victimless "crime", but it fuels gang activity and hurts tax revenue. Legalize it already! Prohibition makes no damn sense.

  • @Jotto999 Yeah, it's a joke about that being a serious concern compared to the effects of alcohol or the prescriptions everyone is so wacked out on. Funny though, my reason for not smoking pot is that it does cause me anxiety. but, I figure if it gives you a bad effect... don't do it. :D

  • amazing

  • @do0me0nice Thanks!

  • Hey, when are you coming back up to Seattle?

  • @iviewthetube Glad you asked. I headline at The Laff Hole on November 17th with my very good friend Michael O'Connell featuring.

  • Brilliant stuff, funny and also very much true, subscribed :)

  • Yesss this was so good. :D

  • great standup! i really enjoyed your performance!

  • @fishe153 Thanks. It was tough with such a chatty audience but a fun show nonetheless.

  • I agree 100% with the paranoia argument, haha!

  • me too. i dont take it but i think that the prohibition of drugs causes far more problems than it stops. it sure as hell doesnt stop people taking them! actually it DOES make certain people feel paranoid - myself included. answer - simple....just dont take it!!!

  • @ezmereldagreen also i remember the days when there was no skunk....people seems to react much better to hash and pre-skunk weed....

  • Keith, you made my Sunday. Thanks, man.

  • @cordzion Glad to hear it. :D

  • Empty pockets, wasn't that the reason why they called of the prohibition on alcohol?

  • Hahahaha....good stuff! I think it should be legal. For that matter, I don't care what people do with their bodies, it's none of my business. So all drugs and even prostitution should be legalized. If the government regulates it they make money off of it and save the fortune they waste every year fighting it.

  • @TheCurmudgen And most important- it's safer!

  • do you have your shows on a dvd or something and if yes where can i illegally download them

  • @TimiS0 I have a DVD documentary called Why Lie I Need a Drink that comes out in November. You can find it on Amazon. com and other similar sites. We're working on finishing the Coexist? Comedy Tour film so that should be out soon. I have a DVD that I taped this year of me doing an hour of stand up. I've got a label looking at it. Hopefully something moves with that soon.

I'm sure they'll all make their way onto the usual illegal download sites. Let me know when they do, I'll be quite flattered.

  • Elitist State hypocrites and a ignorant, apathetic pubic...now that's the real balance-of-power.California did the same thing with State sanctioned gambling...its only a "sin" if they don't profit from it.I don't think its going to help Dems when the justice dept is threatening to ignore prop 19,then Obamas been pretty fast and loose with the Justice Dept.I don't recall of any specific case law,but I'd like to see it go to the supreme court and test state rights.Im sick of Federal over reaching.

  • @Thereminator101 The President HAS to defend federal law. I know it can be aggravating at times like this, but I wasn't complaining when the Obama Administration decided it would take AZ to court over SB 1070. The question is to what extend will he defend the federal law. The fallout from this will be a site to see.

  • @B4TT3RY He did call off the feds on the dispensaries here in CA.

  • @klfly This true but I'm afraid if there were not years of that dispensary raiding policy failing before Obama took office that the Obama Administration would have just continued the same course as the Bush Administration. Hopefully, and I really mean "hope"fully, when this issue comes to court that the defense they put up against California is weaksauce. Also, the amount of federal resources they put towards defending federal law might be quite limited. It's hard to gauge what they will do.

  • I have the same stance on pot. I might not do it, but there are no real reasons it shouldn't be legal. I'm not gay either, but that doesn't stop prop 8 from being a total douchebag move.

  • Imagine if they started arresting people for masturbation. The whole world would be paranoid.

  • myself i want a gradual fasing out and then banning of tobaco

its just stupid and causes unnessesary medical expencess for society.

and if people are going to contine smoking then it has to be taxed so it covers the medical cost, the cost of keeping the strees clean of sigaret buds and there has to be heavy limitations on where your allowed to smoke.

And there absolutley has to be no under aged drug abuse period!

but frankly the tobaco industry wants you kids to smoke as early as posible

  • @ZerqTM there is nothing more repugnant then a buissnis model based round a adiction

  • @ZerqTM I agree, but I'm still against prohibition.

  • @ZerqTM i'd agree with you if this was about selling crack, but marijuana is one of the least addictive drugs available. people are more easily addicted to painkillers which can be sold on the shelves.

  • @ZerqTM There are plenty of business models that exist which are based around exploitation of needy people. Be it payday loans with extremely high interest rates, or even Health Insurance, in which companies profit off of your death.

  • @ZerqTM Tobacco is taxed heavily here in CA at least and increasingly restricted as to where you can consume it. I have an occasional cigar though and I see people drinking soda and eating fast food, two things I don't do, as harming themselves more than I do.

  • @ZerqTM In the UK (where taxation pays for healthcare) it's estimated that tobacco related diseases cost the NHS £5bn a year.

Unfortunately tobacco is taxed very heavily and raises over £10bn a year in duty.

    You do the math.

  • thats stupid, everything is becoming all about money, its taking away peoples freedom, its ridiculous, and to save on healthcare money... we have a too good of a healthcare on earth, people are living longer and its making the planet far too populated, it needs to stop

and your a dick for wanting it banned, so what if it gives you cancer... so does living, potentially...

  • Comment removed

  • @B4TT3RY i think you should read the comment again, i said that people are living longer and the planets getting far too populated and it needs to stop...

how would it save you money if i killed myself? it would need a police investigation and a load of shit if i did to make sure it wasnt a murder, wasting tax payers money... so no i wont do that

  • @BringEllisTheHoriZon I don't want you to kill yourself, you want you to kill yourself. You say a police investigation would cost money, this is true, but not as much as your healthcare costs would be if you lived to be 100 with arthritis, dementia, etc. I don't agree with your point at all- our population is getting bigger SO LIVE WITH IT. You're the one who said "we have too good of a healthcare on Earth" I know A LOT of sick people who would be willing to differ.

  • @B4TT3RY i didnt say i wanted to kill myself..

but yeah the healthcare could be so much better and to some extent i want it to be, but i still think that its also a bad thing because the world is over populated and its not a good thing...

i live with it, yes but is still doesnt make it a good thing...

and i dont plan on being 100 and im not going to have kids either, just FYI

but yeah this conversation isnt going anywhere, just 2 people who have different opinions.. i wont comment again

  • @BringEllisTheHoriZon BIRTH CONTROL! Countries with high levels of education and easy access to birth control information and impliments are heading towards zero and even negative population growth.

  • @klfly yep, i would happily live under birth control, i think its morally wrong but we need to do something

  • @BringEllisTheHoriZon I don't mean imposed birth control. I just mean access to information and to condoms, the pill, etc.

  • @klfly The over population paranoia has been around forever. It's bogus and makes people worry over nothing.

  • good stand up, but the crowd sure sucked.

  • @unclexbob They seem worse then they actually were because I parked my camera in the section where all the organizers and sponsors hung out and they'd been partying since hours earlier. The Mic picked up more of them then I actually heard onstage.

  • Wonderful to know Keith is funny all by himself without wacky weed.

Q: How hard is it to get a laugh out of a pot head?

    A: Ask Dane Cook.

  • @TomMSTie Ask Mitch Hedberg

  • @B4TT3RY Can't, Mitch is dead.

  • @TomMSTie

I've been stoned for the majority of the last two decades, and even I know that Dane Cook is not funny.

  • @grimthane Wow, what are you smoking, pencil shavings?

  • @grimthane Soooo true. He's just loud, and not Goldthwait/Kinison funny-loud. Just obnoxious drunk fratboy loud.
