not really, the problem in this fight is not so much about athletic abilities of both candidates, the thing is that the big cat's bones just aren't resistant enough to resist the swipe from mature big bears leading to some heavy injuries on any successful swipe with broken bones or even broken skull (pretty much instant-death in that case).
