i just found out thursday that i have the same rare disease... and that i have to have bypass surgery... i have a few questions and was wondering if you would mind answering some? how long was your hospital stay and how long was the surgery itsself? how did you feel after surgery... pains? swelling? ty in advance

@ziggy0306 Hello. I had two surgery. First surgery was about 2-3 hrs. (Recovering was 5 to 7 hours. Simply because I had complication with anesthesia.) Second surgery was about the same 2-3 hours. (Recovering was 2 hours. No complication. ) Both Surgery: Went to ICU for a day. Went to Neurology Wing for a day or two and released. It depends on your conditions. My head was pounding for a week. But my jaw was so sore for about a month. No swelling at all. Slept a lot.

i just had my surgery last week... are they suppose to give you antibiotics? bc my stitches are coming out and i have stuff oozing out. please comment. im very concern.

You needed to take care of your scars until it heals. Cleaning and bandage. etc. You probably has an infection. Ooozing is not normal! You must call you surgeon. Do not hesitant. And also, you already have a fever by now. GO TO THE DOCTOR IMMEDIATELY!!!!!

Good luck!!!!!!!!! She will have sensitive to her eyes (about a week), next would be the sensitive to "noise"...... (vice versa...) It would be very painful to open your jaw.... You can eat anything you want.. except, you need to cut up your food... Oh and try to avoid with metal utincil.. (Disposable plate, plastic knife, fork...) Trust me.. regular plate and silverware is.........OMG.... it is SO SORE~~~~!!

My girlfriend has just been through surgery today for MoyaMoya, she is 15. her aunt noticed she was acting different and she was admitted to the hostpital about 1 month ago, surgery has taken place today. The Surgery went fine and I am still waiting for a call. Today is a No-visit day except for immediate family.

She will be able to see her tomorrow! (Just one day on ICU!) hang in there!!! You will be discharge on 3 days!
