I really don't understand why some people (always muslims) hate so much greeks. I read many comments and all of them shows it. So what's the problem, the logical one? Greeks have been slaved during 400 years by turks. Who is the invasor? Who is the one that not respect the right of a nation to exists? I learned the old classic greec at school and of course we read the writings of Xenophon. And Homeros.
Now Greece is in a crisis. many people in my country. Holland, speak low of the greek. They say the greec are lazy, no good etc.

because Greece held Germans for almost 2-3 months.Enough time for soviets to regroup and prepair to face Germans. Although Germans planed to attack Russia before winter.but Greece changed their plans :)

Actually the amount of help that came from the UK is quite often overstated. The money all came from Greece, and 85% of the troops were greek. The Greek commanders also coordinated the attacks, the british troops simly followed orders.

friend, Macedonians were Hellines (=Greeks), too. They spoke greek, they read Homer and Aristotle, they believed in the same gods, they fought alongside at the same wars, they had common ancestors. Macedonia is a municipality of Greece, just like Peloponissos or Crete. The Slavs (today's F.Y.R.O.M.) lived in northern Macedonia and they live in peace with the Greeks since the Middle Ages. But that doesn't make them Macedonians...
