Hi ive got 3stars and all on my main license but im considering doing something similair to you on a second license. do you have any suggestions as to a fun or unique vehicle i could use.
I'm pretty partial to the Bit Bike and Offroader... even though they're almost complete opposites.
It's most definitely not easy to get to 9999vr but I find it more fun to play my style than the supposed "best" style. My style is mostly blocking racing lines and cheating by using shortcuts others can't, so the Titan's the best fit for me. Try picking a vehicle with a trait that you might find fun to abuse. Then overabuse it and annoy opponents to no end with it. It's fun. :-D
Thanks for the imput. I was already thinking about the Offroader so im gonna go with that. Ill also be using the wario bike to do the initial 100ccs. Wish me luck.
It's called "The Message From Dr. Light" by The Megas. The song is actually about Megaman, sung from the point of view of Megaman's creator Dr. Light, but the lyrics describe my relationship with my mii well.
Oh, it doesn't hurt that I like Megaman as well, and that I frequently refer to my Tiny Titan as "the Blue Bomber". XD
If you're talking about the resolution of my videos, you're right. Unfortunately the problem is due to trying to push out-of-date hardware to do things they weren't originally designed to do. Hopefully in the near future I'll get a better computer and then I'll really be all set. :)
I didn't play any battle mode games on this account until after reaching 9999VR, but I do play quite a bit of battle mode on my main license.
The key to holding 1st place for a long time when you have a slower kart is finding ways to slow down opponents so much that a blue shell (or more) isn't enough for them to catch up. Also being able to take the fastest lines possible for your kart helps.
I see...sort of. My time in 1st place is 28%. When I fall down below 1st place, it's always very difficult to catch back up, as each person I pass can potentially hit me (and usually does).
Let me guess--pinpoint accuracy in launching items behind you?
This is actually a really good question. Accuracy with shell launching is a great asset for sure, but there's more to it than that. The next series of MKW videos I have planned are case studies of tactics and strategies I use, which I hope will help not just you or my clan mates but everyone that would like to take their racing to the next level. I'll be posting some videos very soon, so keep on the lookout!
I've been Green Shell sniping since Mario Kart 64, though my accuracy gets thrown off by the lag in Mario Kart Wii. People are rarely where they appear to be.

You've never played any Battle Mode matches?
Still...55% of your time in 1st place? How do you manage to hold your 1st place for so long? Do you have some sort of Blue Shell barrier?
