Great question. I was on a Dell/Intel computer when I did this tutorial (since upgraded to a Mac Pro). For MSFT systems, I recommend Guitar and Drum Trainer by Renegademinds (do a google search). If you have a Mac, the best software for this is Amazing X. I tested a few of them and the quality is fantastic.
I'm so sorry, but I don't have the tab. They take longer to do than the video and I prefer to spend the time on the vids. Also, I wouldn't know how to tab the strumming on this song. I just know it in my head. The left hand parts are not difficult. It's the right hand strumming that takes time. I think I play the notes slow and clean in the vids. You might be able to find a tab on the Web and use that as a guide with my video.
hey mike...great tutorial. it helped a lot, thanks. i think some of us here on youtube (myself included) would greatly appreciate it if you tabbed this song. if you can find the time to do so, thatd be great. this songs a little tricky without tabs, and i'm having a bit of trouble myself
Hi, thx! Except for my usual excuse that I would prefer to spend time on the vids than the tabs, on this one it's very difficult because of the right hand strumming. There is not way I could notate the right hand. But let me know which part you are having trouble with (time stamp within which tutorial) and I can always do another clip for you.
I put a paraEQ in front of my distortion block. The settings are above. Or you can use an EQ pedal and boost the mid range frequencies and narrow the band pass (bring highs and lows down). The fixed wah like sound is basically a narrow band pass filter with mids boosted.
It's not proven, but my theory is Edge used a paraEQ for some Slane songs - NYD, Out of Control, etc. Or he used some sort of EQ. What worked for me was the Axe-Fx paraEQ. A paraEQ is essentially a bandpass filter with variable gain. So I set up the paraEQ to cut off the highs and lows, but I raised the gain for the mid frequencies. So use an EQ or paraEQ and bring down highs and lows and boost the mid range. I think I had mids gain up 2 to 4x. I can try to do a video on this later.
for the love of god, please put subtitles in Spanish, I love to learn the technique and understand well the advice of this excellent guitarist.
please!!! please!!! please!!! XD

More specifically (my Axe-Fx settings):
Low-cut: 300 hz (0 db)
600 hz (boosted +3db)
900 hz (boosted +4.5 db)
1313 hz (boosted +3 db)
