Epicurean review:

Robbed. Few couples in this genre had such a chemistry, such an appealing presentation as Max and Yulia did right in this moment where camera, choreography, pulchritude and talent all came together.

Lizard brain review:

When my black and latino friends outright ogle J-lo's caboose I say 'fine' with a smile. Yulia's here is the gold standard for millions of us.

And to think this is the abbreviated version of the routine. (I think they were required for this competition to keep it down to two minutes.) The full version (about 3 and a half minutes) has many more interesting combinations and intricate synchronized steps. It's amazing!

you should not care about the little difference in routines as "the beat" is exactly the same as "hip-hip, chin-chin":)

Those are actually basic Brazilian Samba moves. They are not in the International Samba syllabus. But this is open ^_^

They did this and a number of other dances as exhibitions at the 2007 OSB. It was GREAT to see this number live. I'm sure at least one of their performances will be on the PBS show in January/Feburary 2008.
