  • @mountainbikingchick You're right. It's the player that does though, and it's dripping with it here.

  • David, what would you recommend for an advanced finger drumming performer? Padkontrol or a modded MPD32? Thank you, keep it up, it's so inspiring watching you play!

  • awesome.

  • Wow, awesome stuff... Makes me want to buy some pads and stop programming drums! I *think* there may be years of practise involved though :-)

  • Of course he's using his finger for the bass drum. Are you watching the video or just listening. You can clearly see his finger hitting the same note on the bass kick. Listen with your eyes. It helps.

  • Very few people can do this !

  • sick

  • SOAB :D

  • The Native Instruments MASCHINE has existed for the people like him.

  • A drum, one more thing of the long list of things i won't have to buy once i get my hands on this...

  • @simrousseau - You can add manicure to that list too.......

  • Imposible !!!!

  • I use this as a backing track for me bass practice.

  • Jeremy Ellis can do that...ON TWO MASCHINES but faster

  • @TheAntonsChannel hater gonna hate. btw fast don't always equal good...........

  • Awesome! If I were drummer I would just buy Mashcine and leave my kit at home for some gigs just to play a show with no drum kit. You ROCK!!!!

  • Is this machine came up with they own sound??

  • yo david, this is INSAAAAAAAAAANE!!! WOWZERZ!!!

  • What stand re you using?

  • @mrgrinch Looks like a snare stand to me, but I could be wrong.

  • @OMGhesMARK Looks like you could be right.

  • David it was great to talk with you over the Thanksgiving break dude. Man this video is killer! Keep up the good work!

  • Fuckin dope! that some dennis chambers shit on a drum machine!

  • This shit is crazy!

  • @oglok646 do you even understand the kind of brain separation you need to do something like this. You have to not only have crazy dexterity, but the mind of a drummer to even attempt doing what he just did.

  • This.... Is.... Ridiculous!

  • Niiiiiiice!

  • Gifted my ass, if you know how to type on a keyboard you can do this.

    Get a drum set.

  • @oglok646 crazy thing is, he can play like this on a drum set too lol...

  • @oglok646 youre a moron

  • @oglok646 what an idiot. Try it. See how far you get. I've been using an MPC for 3 years. I own the machine. I can't play this yet I can type at lightning speed. Your logic don't add up. Now, if you're a drummer you could play like this after getting used to pads, but don't compare it to a keyboard. There is nothing similar.

  • @GV1UK I taught myself how to play drums by using the drum pads on a keyboard, mainly timing but when i play drums i have a hard time keeping up with my feet so the maschine is alot easier to me haha check out my videos! im not as good as this guy but i do my best! Big ups david you killed it man!

  • @GV1UK , @oglok646 is right. playing live on the mpc/maschine is actually VERY similar to typing on a keyboard.. i like to type with rhythm.. lots of 16th notes with 75% swing, between 70 and 80 bpm

  • @mpchead621 but people don't usually type to a rhythm. I can type fast and own mpc's, but they're 2 different things. Sure I can hit pads fast, maybe even as fast as this guy, doesn't mean it will sound good.

  • @GV1UK I used to play "real" drums back in the day, I played about 5 years and can't play this good on my Machine, this guy is amazing and I agree, anyone who doesn't see it is an idiot!!!

  • @oglok646 also check Joesoj's comment. Since when do you type with different time signatures? Think before you speak and make stupid comments for the sake of leaving a comment.

  • @oglok646 dumbest comment i've seen in a while

  • @oglok646 rofl i would love to see you do even 1/10 as good as this... you must be able to since you typed that comment on a keyboard.

  • @oglok646 So you must not be able to type on a keyboard?? ..cause i bet you sure as hell cant do that!!!

  • Your gifted on those pads!!

  • The amount of influences on display here, Jazz, HipHop, Soul, Funk, Rock etc! Really nice to see somebody take it this seriously and respectfully!

  • How do Maschine pads compare to Padkontrol?

  • can i finish a song on maschine or do i have too import it to another program?

  • woohhhhhhooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

  • your not human

  • This Drums Library is the Addictive Drums mixed with ? waves? others? or With the Internal Mixing Processors of XLN???

  • I am going to spend the next two years practicing to play like this. Awesome!

  • I hate you.

  • erased the need for a session drummer

  • This is so sick!

  • Redefined "jazz hands"

  • im sure he's gonna have to a mikro too.. baller status

  • @anakin808 HAHA!

  • haha is that in a snare stand? Cool. I love it!

  • I find this more creative than what Jeremy Ellis do.

  • @SoulKidzable if your only into drums, mkay

  • @ikbenbnop I think the point was to demonstrate "the musicality" of the device... it's nice to see the maturity of digital instrumentation.

  • Never Thought I'd ever hear the Purdie Shuffle on pads!! :0) wicked

  • carpal tunnel will be worth it, dude

  • Awesome! I want to use this with BFD2 and with the samples included. Love your work.

  • Cool! When i saw you hitting the first few pads i checked your name and i remembered that i seen you before on the HR16 which you nailed also!

Im too curious, how is the overall build quality and playability of the pads on the Maschine David? I realy want to buy this thing, but i never trust promovids when known producers, etc. uplift those products.

  • @badjak123

Pads feel amazing, some of the knobs aren't perfectly on their center access (at least on the one i purchased), the integration of the system with your plugins is fantastic. I think it's too bad the unit isn't a little heavier and its body is made of plastic; would have been nice if even just the surfacing around buttons was metal. 9/10... Can't beat the price for what you get.

  • crazy!

  • i;d like to see an overhead view, especially when you go into the double bass groove and purdie shuffle.

  • is this kit included with maschine or is it your own ?? also I think your goes softer than mine.. is that something I can adjust ?

  • jeremy ellis fuck you!!! meet your maker

  • the truth...im 2 jealous....dat was quite the display

  • How did you create the real drum tones? When you press harder it makes the correct tone not just change the volume...how please

  • @adamooxx

the maschine is a great tool, I bought one and straight out of the box I can play a set of bongos (included in the kit) and you can tell that a soft hit sounds real, and a hard hit sounds real! more than just volumes.. they do something in the programming, its unreal.. some samples only control the volume tho depends on the drum kit... tons to choose from

  • @adamooxx

when you hit hard it has a distinct crack sound

  • We glade u can do that YEAHH But dude for real you are using the wrong thing to display this the Maschine is not a drum set and to real producers this is PISSIN US OFF AND INSULTING THE MASCHINE ...U ASS

  • @DaGrouchClubBeat fuck u u bitch. get back to your shitty dirty south crap beats...

  • @DaGrouchClubBeat LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL and you are?

BTW he does get called to lay tracks on the Mashine and Real drumkit thus your opinion is invalid so you should STFU and GTFO.

  • @DaGrouchClubBeat wtf is a real producer ???? .... whats a fake one ??? #logicfail

  • @DaGrouchClubBeat actually,he's displaying one of the great uses of the machine.. not only by differentiation of sound accodring to pressure set on the pads, but also by allowing people to see the fact that they don't need to have live instruments to be able to add tracks to their music. Open your mind and stop being so insulting,

  • great ! super !!!!!!

  • i was thinking of getting a maschine and now i'm just going to forget it

  • Amazing!

  • FE - NO - ME - NA - LE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • NI customer support- "Thank you for calling NI, how may I help you?"

  • @dimesach

  • your tone is amazing

  • Great skill

  • For ppl who doesn't want to spend too much money, a padkontrol with any good virtual drums soft can do the trick ;)

The best pads on earth are Maschine and Padkontrol ones.

Nice vid and very nice playing :D

  • So So Player! Good Good stuff man.

  • pure control,magic thumbs up

  • Wow.. You and Jeremy Ellis are the best I've ever heard playing drums on equipment like this..Wow just amazing!!!

  • Somebody give him a arcade stick and a copy of SSFIVae

  • Looks like a great second instrument for a drummer! I'm gonna go get one!

  • You don't HAVE to use it like this, it's a sampler sequencer and plug-in. Still like Kore though. This guy is the best at this style for sure, amazing!

  • You don't HAVE to use it like this, it's a sampler sequencer and plug-in. Still like Kore though

  • You're going all Bernard Purdie on that Maschine, dope!

  • my gosh, what a graet performace man! ....i want to know which drums samplers are you using? they are really like the truth drum

  • I was going to buy one of these things until I saw this video and the phrase DON’T TRY THIS AT HOME THIS MAN IS A PROFESSIONAL rang out in my head. It looks like you need to be a genius to use the darn thing.

  • people people, this is a piece of dj and electronic music gear, used by DJs and electronic musicians...it also plays more, far more than drums, and has all kinds of fx built in. He's only demonstrating one aspect. Look at some of the official Native Instruments Maschine videos. You'll get it. I totally saw a dj performing with 2 maschine setups and a midi keyboard on the side on here once...

  • Excellent but for one thing... Needs more cowbell!!!! :D

  • @electroflux I've got a fever...!

  • You're truly gifted! You've just sold me my new toy for the studio!

  • fucking boring

  • I have enough money to buy one thing. traktor razor , new turntables , a drum set , or the mashine . After watching this video it eliminated the choice of buying a drum set

  • @Dj3xC Razor is a tight synth. And traktors dope. but this thing is a dope piece of gear !

  • did you ever play the track and field game on nintendo 64. i reckon you should and break all the world records.

  • Re .. Dic .. u .. luss!!! if i hadn't seen this with my own eyes, i would have sworn i was listening to an actual drum kit. ... Wait, NO COWBELL?(jk)
