  • This is how bass is meant to sound on a record.

  • I get the feeling NCS got there by randomly typing Stone Temple on youtube :D

  • NCS, keep searchin' for those fewer calories! YOU CAN DO IT!

  • To Laurie your always in my heart.

  • read his book, what a good read! wish it was longer though XD

  • If you should die before me ask to bring a friend who wants to die alone. People die in pairs all the time. Its very normal

  • Music heroin give it to me

  • someone please put up a lyric video

  • we had our decades 30's 40's 50's 60's 70's 80's and 90's they all left an imprint on the world with fashion and music the 2000's are all water down and lame imitations of those true eras i got lucky i was in my teens in the 90's i've always wanted to dedicate this song to a girl when i was 19 such deep lyrics i'm happy i can finally do it now.

  • stp is not just a 90s band they are everything i want this song at my wedding and Scott Weiland is a genius

  • this STILL REMAINS one of my STP favs of all time. hits a spot in my life when drugs ruled my every thought process. i could not, for my life, express to my wife how i felt about her. this song exemplified my love for her at the time, but i could not tell or show her. drugs prevented that and i lost her forever.

  • @brainblisterz spot on brother..STP songs speak to the soul!!!

  • Such a great song. Remember jamming to this in high school years ago... still love it.

  • its funny how a fairly simple guitar chord progression, a nice bass line, supportive drums & awesome lyrics can floor us but people nowadays need all this electronic bullshit to get off on music. its sad really. I always feel so alone when Im around people listening to the pop radio stations & I cant relate to them or the music because i just cant get into it.

  • @SC86Canuck Also I cant understand how people can just dismiss real music. it must have been so hard for older generations to get into different band or other forms of music. for us it's just a click away, we dont even have to read about it here are some things you mightbe able to get into

  • One of their most underated songs, has all the elements, lyrics, vocals, guitar, bass and drumming could be a classic.

  • magic 90th

  • This song makes me happy to be alive. The overwhelming emotions that this song pulls out of me, I can't put it in words

  • The De Leo's and Welland! A seriously beautiful combination...

  • when you love somone so much this just hit the spot

  • STONE TEMPLE PILOTS ES LA MAMADA !!! scott is GOD mother fuckers !!!

  • You guys know this song is about drugs, right? "pick a flower hold your breath and drift away". Flower refers to poppies....

  • @militarymom05

I think it is a little more than that. I know it is about drugs and trippin', but also about the love between the band.

the hurt an brokeness they were going through with each other.

    Peace.

  • @militarymom05 you take ONE phrase out the context and assume it is about drugs? LOL

  • @militarymom05 and the nursery rhyme ring around the rosey is about the black plague, what's your point? the song is actually a love song, that happens to make one drug reference, IF that's even the case. He could just as easily be referencing seeing his love actually pick a flower, take a deep breath of it, and that's where the memory of her fades. that moment, is what Still Remains in his mind years later. did you consider that?

  • @happyninja42 Gee, guess it's hard to consider that a guy who has spent most of his life (since his teens) doing drugs may have drug references in his songs. Get a grip. I didn't say the song sucked. I love the song, but I'm not as naive as a bunch of you seem to be. I also love the song "Puff, the magic dragon". But I suppose that song really IS about a lonely boy and his imaginary friend?

  • @militarymom05 I do have a grip thank you. Just because he makes a reference that YOU interpret as being drug related, doesnt mean that A)You're correct in your theory on what he was talking about. or B)That it's the sole meaning of the song. You said "this song is about getting high", which i think is a shallow and uninspired interpretation of the song. If you can honestly listen to all the words of that song and think he's just singing about getting high, then you are as naive as you say we are

  • Was, is, and always will be the most true and beautiful of all love songs ever made.

~Pick a song and sing a yellow nectarine...

Take a bath, I'll drink the water that you leave...

If you should die before me

ask if you can bring a friend...

Pick a flower, hold your breath

    and drift away... ~

  • Was, is, and always will be the most true and beautiful of all love songs ever made.

  • This song has always been my favorite and most magical STP song.

  • I was 13 years old when this song came out and it still is the standard that I hold all other love songs to. This is the deepest, most beautiful love song.

  • @SuperDudesweet I was 19yrs-old and whole heartily concur my friend!

I dedicate this song to my life/my world-->My Wife-

Lisa baby-I adore the very ground you walk upon...

  • @SuperDudesweet I REMEMBER MY 1ST LOVER RECITING THESE LINES TO ME. Im 29 now... I know what you mean

  • sex is the best on this song ;)

  • i love this song so much! <3 i have still remains tattoo on my ribs & i just covered this song my channel too! :)

  • I have always loved this song. The lyrics are haunting.

  • Saw them live for the first time a few months ago when they toured australia, they played this and it was so awesome. My fav song of theirs.

  • this is not just a song, this is a poem... I wish i could go back to the 90s- so many real rock bands :STP, Pearl Jam, Screaming Trees, Alice in Chains, Soundgarden, Nirvana and more...

  • @thebasiasta don't forget Tool, Pennywise, Beastie Boys, NOFX................=)

  • @thebasiasta That is so true alas, I grew up in the 80's/90's. The music in that generation was a stepping stone for today's metal/rock. without them music would not have evolved as much as it has. Nirvana was 1 of the original grunge bands, STP was amazing with lyrics, alice in chains was just out there, but his music was amazing.

  • @thebasiasta The 90's was the last push for truly original music. Alternative was the last gasp. Everything since then has been nothing but rehash. The Matrix was right, the world really did end in 1999.

  • @gjpotter There are still a few trying to make good music. Check out what Daniel Johns has done during the 2000's. Also check Beck and The Black Keys.

  • rockin' ass band and this song is......you know.

  • i am always taken aback by the lack of recognition the band received., go figure...in any case, they will always be on my playlists...brilliant band

  • Best

  • Thanks for making/posting on e that doesn't say something stupid in the description. This is one of my favorite songs.
