I see no reason why they would, as staying on the inner loop is essentially a straight on move, while using the outer loop requires two switching moves.
Oh man! I've never seen the 5 train on the inner loop. My Aunt told me about it! But I never seen it! And now the South Ferry Station is different it makes a connection point to the White Hall Station on the N, R and W lines. I was shocked cause I haven't been in the area in a while. Great Video!
Yeah, unless the MTA allows passengers to stay on the 5 on weekends when it is terminating at Bowling Green. They did this for the 6 train at Bklyn Bridge-City Hall.
First time I've ever seen a station with THAT kind of curve...
