it's easier to control them when you alternate between holding the wheat in your hand to another item.

that way they will follow you while the wheat is in your hand,you get them where you want,and then switch to another item and they will stop following you.

then wait till the animal you want to lure is looking at you,and switch back to the wheat.

3) Wait for child to grow up

4) Kill parent, breed two remaining animals

5) Repeat for infinite totally non-mutated* animals!

I have an idea... for the area between the bridges that you cleared of the wheat farms. I think you should put a fountain or some other town-center type of place there. Put a path leading down and around it, and you can put whatever thing you want there. A fountain, a tree, a statue, or maybe some kind of reflecting pool, just put something down there.

Nice. My idea: Since Cows have the highest food yield, give them a larger pen (4X?) to keep more (maybe where you plan to put the wheat farm and just put it somewhere else?). Maybe double the size of the Pig & Sheep pens and move the Chickens (maybe to a smaller/narrower pen next to where they are?)

Coe, here is a few things you should know. If you dont have wheat in your hands when you leave the pens then amimals wont follow you out. Also, when you log back in, due to a bug, some animals may escape the fence since they are not one block wide. One more thing: people have suggested you build a river where you cleared the farms.

What I do with the villages I keep a base in is replace the gravel roads with cobblestone, that way I can use slabs and steps, and replace the cobble in the houses with stone bricks, mossy and cracked stone bricks too if the town has no npcs in it!
