First heard these guys on the movie 'Smithereens.' They're one of my all time favorite bands of all time now. Great song.Great lead singer (reminds me a little of Iggy).Outstanding band>
Saw them last night (March 14, 2009) in D.C. at the 9:30 Club. Blew the doors off the place!!! Best concert I've ever been to, bar none! The Feelies kicked ass and no one left the room until Brenda sang Dancing Barefoot! What a night!
ahahaha, if it's the Bottom Line, I was at this show. They had two shows the same night....one early, one late. I think the place had a two drink minimum at the tables. I think me and my college roomate were the only ones psyched to be there.
Someone somewhere out there has this whole concert on tape, since it was stated so on the fan site. For the love of everything holy, please upload it! Pleeeeeeease!
Don't worry... my friend's mom introduced me to marshall crenshaw. It's stupid... The lamest, poppiest shit ever, but that's almost all i listened to for a whole month. :p
haha
For these boys though... i think i was streaming phantom planet and they were in a little box on the side for "simmilar artists" :p
My favorite Feelies tune is Dancing Barefoot. Does anyone know where I can find a video of it? There are many other versions out there: Patti Smith (the original), U2(which sucks), The Church (which is pretty good), Simple Minds (which is almost as good as The Church), and many more. I like The Feelies version THE BEST.
if anyone's interested, the feelies are playing some reunion shows in early july. 2 at maxwell's in hoboken and one at battery park. they might schedule more dates this summer too. if you want tickets to the maxwell's shows, they are being sold on the maxwell's website.
Love everything from the Feelies. Thank you so much for this! It's so hard to find quality life stuff from the best band ever from New Jersey! Sorry Bruce
What a band. I've just purchased all their albums. Used CDs 'cause I couldn't find any new releases. When I start a band (in my next life) this is what we'll sound like.
The Bottom Line had tables; Hurrah didn't. Love the shots of impassive Dave & Stan rocking out. There's got to be more to this show. Would love to see it.

Great video. Brings me back to an absolutely mesmerizing show at the cats cradle in chapel hill. Amazing stuff, they could really get in a groove.

Thanks for posting the Feelies video. Brings back many fond memories from the late 80s shows in Charlottesville Virginia and Columbus South Carolina.

Interesting version of my fave Feelies tune. Much more uptempo than what's heard on the ONLY LIFE album from 1988 (A&M Records). Thanks.
