Absolutely breathtaking ! the choreo and music are incredible and so are the dancers. I always love Marianela, everything in the way she moves is beautiful :)
@zdiversable In a way it's a kind of abstract ballet. Macmillan was watching people warming up at the barre when he choreographed this pas de deux so the man's sort of taking the place of the barre at first. Personally I think it's a reflection of how dancers love ballet but that's my opinion. If you search on here there's a video called Celebrating Macmillan: Concerto and it's Monica Mason, Deborah Macmillan and some of the dancers talking about the ballet which might be helpful.
@kimmois1 if your behind actually read i did state macmillan in my statement i dont know who you think you are for coming at me like that but you need to look in the mirror and see that you just air that stays in a room because your not worthy of being released
@kimmois1 actually hoe the statement was not retarded i knew that the damn choreo was not from balanchine shit ive seen almost everyone of his ballets what i was trying to say was i am happy that balanchine did what he did to ballet so that we can have beautiful pieces from choreographers like macmillan. u need to calm down and take the bullshit easy and read in between the line before you try to check somebody u ignorant ass
what modern day ballet should look like. i truly believe balanchine knew what he was doing when he changed the standards of ballet so that ballet dancers can look like men and women and not just fairy tales. simple clothing exquisite choreography and not so much emotion to make the piece more than what it has to be. all of macmillan's pieces follow what balanchine started and thats how it should be. contorted ballets are good but sometimes it's too much. this is perfect

@sylvieguillemfanx10 This isn't Balanchine you fucking moronic retard it's Macmillan and it's naff and derivative as all Macmillan one acters are. If you're going to chat shit and be a sub literate cunt fine, but don't post your retarded cuntish drivel publically. My God what a total fucktard you are. Peace. xxxx

Nunez is terrific - steely and ethereal. I like her partnered with Pennefather; they look great together. Both are remarkable artists.

MacMillan was a genius, Marianela is my favourite danser from ROH

Beauty and grace ....... together in motion ...... and why ballet is the highest form of dance.
This requires no interpretation .... only the ability to feel. Those who can feel ........ understand.
