  • My favorite album of all my music.

  • I still have the original vinyl LP which I got in 1965

  • One of my most treasured possessions is the Pretty Things first LP (vinyl) which I got in 1965.

  • this is the kind of music that makes you feel good about being bad.

  • STONED!!!!!!!!!!!

  • The lead guitarist played bass for The Stones before he started The Pretty Things.

These guys are one of my all time favorite blues/rock bands.

  • hey rocknroll was once-exciting!

  • Cool band but they didn't have the writing talents of Jagger/Richards or Pete Townsend. S.F. Sorrow was their Magnum Opus.

  • Gotta say this is fabulous stuff....great vocals...best I have heard since the days of the Liverpool Five in the mid sixties. Both the PTs and the LP 5 deserve wider appreciation...You Tube has helped a lot in this respect.

  • One of my favorite bands from the days of old! I wonder whatever happened to them. They were great!

  • How did a band like this not get more recognition. All due respect to the dave clark five, the Hollies and manfred mann -- but the idea that these three later bands would be more easily recognized names than the pretty things is pathetic at best.

  • That is one ripped mofo

  • God Save Viv Prince! Brilliant clip! Thanks so much.

  • This is way cool!

  • Yes I can assure folks the drummer on this vid is in fact Viv Prince. (hes my old man)

  • @choppermitch COOL..what did he do after the pretties??is there any bio??Im in my mid 40s and have been drumming in a couple of local pub bands since i was 17 in the cambridge area and i am very interested and influenced by the RNB/rock bands/personell..Is he still playing??Pleases on Big/kind Regards.

Danish beat group "Steppeulvene" uses the guitar-riff from big city! trivia: Danish band "the blue van" has got their name from a line in the danish song: "send the blue van"

  • love the drummers ear lol , cool post

  • lol, I think the drummer is Charlie Watts, later with the Stones.

    Nice ear.

  • It might be Viv Prince, it looks like him. He inspired Keith Moon. Viv was so crazy that the PT"s crazy in their own right, found him too wild for them. They once threw him off a plane and left him on the tarmac when they were flying from Australia to England.

  • @ajaxfilms The Drummer is the Legendary Viv Prince. A rare sighting of the legend!

  • wrong!

  • What a Trip Man Far out Man These guys are Cool Cat's Man Real Hip Man Real Hip Cats Man I Mean like not Squares You Know Like Totally Righteous Dudes Daddio.......... Give Me A Break if This is An Example of how The So Called Cool Cats Communicated back in The Day. Then

Huey Lewis and the news sang it right in The song It's Hip to be Square......

  • i never heard of these cats, and i thought i was pretty aware.

  • You thought wrong Daddio.

  • Q65? Those dumbo's who sang English nobody understood! That was really shit from The Hague... and an unsult to music!

  • Well it comes down to a matter of opinion, you might hate it, I like it.

One of Hollands first great bands, to my opinion ofcourse

  • @jt123egypte keep on naggin', hahahaha

  • @jt123egypte what's your story?

  • Yes, the Slaves are great! Would be great to see some footege of them!! I think they we're an international bunch and lived in Austria or Swiss and even got banned from one of these countries.. probably because of drug abuse.

  • hell yeah the pretty things one of my favorites bands especially love their first two albums this ones included in the first album!

  • Chinese eyes!

  • genial

  • Some great video. I like the Pretty Things very much, and their original lineup are fab. THank you very much for posting this. I wish there would be much, much more of that stuff around.

  • Agreed. I'd rank The Pretty Things up there with The Who and The Yardbirds, two of my favorite bands of all time!

  • ~Oh The Pretty Things! They rock! What a sound!

My auntie says she snogged Viv Prince when they came to town in about '65!

  • the pretty things kick ass! British R&B that blew most rivals away- especially the stones

  • Agreed. I'd rank The Pretty Things up there with The Who and The Yardbirds, two of my favorite bands of all time!
