@ssahmad Its difficult to maintain an accent that isn't your own when doing things like laughing. Laurie's American accent is one of the best I've ever heard from a non-US/Canadian actor, so if he can't laugh American I doubt there are many who can.

@Kagemusha08 Was just watching the DVD. Bryan Singer specifically wanted an American actor for the part and when he saw Laurie's audition he said something to the effect that "there was an American actor who grasped the character". Had no idea he was English. Laurie's American accent is fantastic. He said it came from watching too much TV when he was a kid.
