@butilikeapples If your profile is to be believed I am the exact same age as you, and so was at the time I made this two years ago. Even if I were younger than you, I don't believe there is an age limit to having an opinion.
Out of the four movies, I always thought Bender's Game was the weakest. My main issue with the movie is that they spend the first half establishing the story, but when everyone is transported into the fantasy world, they spend the remainder of the movie RETELLING THE STORY WE JUST SAW. It was like they ran out of story after the first hour and introduced the RPG element just to fill up the remaining time.
I didn't care for any of the movies and was particularly disappointed by this one. To be fair, most of my reasons for not liking it are simply a matter of taste. My main reasons for not liking it are: 1) I found most of the jokes to be very predictable and unfunny. 2) The story clearly was not strong enough to carry a film, so they padded the heck out of it. And 3) They finally bring back the characters I love, and then spend most of the movie with them playing other characters.
I like your reviews, kat. You need to finish reviewing the other Futurama movies (I loved the first movie, most of all!!!
Bender's Game is my second favorite. I got to give props to Katey Segal (the voice of Leela). She's almost always the straight character, but this movie had some of her funniest moments (especially when she gets excited by the collar's shocks when she's in Mom's HQ.
The first time i watched Futurama was when i bought Benders Big Score, because I thought it would be good to watch something else for once, but since then i have been addicted to Futurama and have seen all of the movies so far and have season 3 on DVD and have seen nearly all of the episodes ;-)
"Machina ex deo" is a pun of the Latin term "deus ex machina". A deus ex machina literally means "god from the machine" and has come to mean any inferior plot device that expeditiously solves the conflict of a narrative (Wikipedia). The pun seems to suggest something along the lines of "machine from god". It's probably a reference to the Divine Right of Kings, a medieval idea that the authority of monarchs was derived from God. In this case, the machine is Bender, himself, or robots.
I enjoyed this movie. It's definalty the best so far. You are right about the nudity thing though, I've heard that they're not alound to show rear-ends on the Simpsons anymore (Then again, who would want to see that?) I guess on Futurama, these are characters you wouldn't mind or would want to see naked. I love the Robin Williams (Morcs) joke in it and how they made Amy's character much more sluttier than she already is. I was actually amazed how they got away with Leela/Amy making out scene.

Oh, yeah Ignar kind of sounds like an older version of Ralph Wiggum.

Lol, I thought the reason Leela was a centaur was because of her pony tail

I can't belive I've been a fan of Futurama for three years now and I am the only one with all the movies on original in Trinidad and Tobago.

Anyways, great review. I like how you delved into some of the specific jokes - someone on IMDB made the same comment on the knife infomercial!

I'm the same way with Zapp. Everyone I've talked to who likes the show thinks he's the best character, but he just bothers me most of the time.
