DE is simply wonderful!! I have stumbled upon it about a year ago when I saw I brought home a souvenir from a Motel6 in Dallas , TX. I used my flower sifter and filled it with DE and put it all on my Mattrass and around my bed and it took not time and never seen another bed bug again,
I do believe there are all natural ways to take care of just about every situation. I think that any product that involves ingredients that we've never heard of, are always hard to believe. I would use this carefully as with anything else, and do my research, these claims are good, and if it does all he say's it can then even better because, when you have bed bugs you need help! Not Poisons!
This sounds like a potentially good treatment for bed bugs and though I think it is safe enough to use, I do not buy the idea that there is NO inhalation risk. It is a fine silica dust and will be very hard for your body to clear from aveoli if it is inhaled deeply. Apply it directly to affected surface and avoid breathing in the air-born dust. I doubt it has medical effects beyond placebo effect and those claims are bordering on fraud.
It is not the silica dust that is the problem---it is what type of silica it is. The dangerous silica is crystline silica. Food grade DE is less than 1/10 of a percent of that. All our claims are observations based on hundreds of feedbacks from users.
@thesmiths9 Again, I am not complaining the you product isn't generally safe and effective when used properly. It probably is. I am just saying that it should not be used casually. Oct 29 2011 I started taking DE into my food 1 heaping tablespoon every day, 1 week later I feel much better, my stool is larger then ever in my life, so it's cleaning out my colon. I have Diabetes neropathy in my hands and feet, I noticed the tingeling sensation is now gone. My blood pressure is going down and my hands that were cold before are now starting to warm up. My dog had fleas, they also gone after a few days. I'm a believer. fred_bynum@yahoo.com
Count me the skeptic, there's no way I would ingest this stuff, but if you claim it kills insects I suggest a time-lapse video (if not several) proving as much. And this stuff looks too much like any other innocuous (or not) white powder, so the video has to make it perfectly clear that is what is being used (e.g. without cutting video put it in your bag of ants, then drink it, and without cutting the video close in on the bag of ants and speed up the video). @BTRussian: Because of the many tiny sharp edges on each specimen of DE, when it comes in contact with insects DE absorbs the waxy coating that covers the insect, causing a laceration of the exposed tissue. This is aggravated by the insects writhing. The insect dies from dehydration, usually within a few hours.
how does this kill bed bugs if all they do is suck blood? If they do not have a source of blood they will die after 70 days, they will not EAT anything...please advise.
It also works in a similar manner as Boric Acid, another safe and reliable insect killer. The shells of the diatoms damage the digestive tissues of the insect as well as the chitin of the insect exoskeleton.
I watched the show Infested on Animal Planet today and there was a couple that spent more than 10K on bed bug treatments. Had they done more research and used this powder, they could've saved so much money.
So good to be learning more about the Natural and organic ways to maintaining health. Me and my dog, Boy have just started de with our breakfast. Sweet Blessings to you and your work. Love, Normajean
@thesmiths9 Must be due to the high silicon dioxide content in the horticulture grade DE that I have for pest control? Very interesting, Just cant find any food grade locally cant wait to try it!! Thanks for clearing that up
@thesmiths9 It may not be dangerous for our lungs..but when we first used it, I didn't know how finely grated it was and I couldn't breathe..not from the product itself, but b/c it just was so powdery. So, I wear a mask now or just take a little at a time in my hand an put it out like that. It is a GREAT thing though!! Just saying that people with breathing problems might want to not inhale just from the texture alone. It is the consistency of cornstarch. LOVE It though!
@thesmiths9 Why would it matter if it were food grade? The texture is the same regardless. Right? Even "food grade" DE is sharp and like razor blades on a microscopic level. If it is sharp enough to puncture the exoskeleton of insects, surely it is sharp enough to aggravate the lungs.
Claiming your product is sake for inhalation makes me skeptical in believing your other assertions.
oh yeah............and i only used 1 jar of de for my entire 3 bedroom 2 story house! great product, never needed to call a pest control company since!
WoW,... thanks for the superior guidance, when I get some more money, I intend to buy some, I don't have any bed bugs, but I do want to use it as a de-wormer. I haven't did an internal cleanse for two years now, and I'm due for one, and I would love to try this new product, Diatomaceous Earth.
This looks promising I don't believe the FDA approval is necessary after all they approve Cigarettes, Aspartame, Sodium Saccharin, Phen Phen, and many other drugs that cause cancer and or will either deform or kill you or cause you to kill yourself. but the benefit of using something that will help you will also kill pests is just a wonderful thing.
yes diatomacous earth does these things and is relatively chemically inert, but it has huge draw backs and you need to put like an inch down on the bed board under the mattress to have great effect. you really have to use lots to literally bathe insects in it to dehydrate.
Not true at all---in fact, do not overuse DE. Just a small amount of DE will work great! They die a little faster if they have more DE on them, but the clean up is harder----just use a small amount
@gageakashuckthegreat Im not exactly sure what over doing it would be considered exactly, but i spread a good amount over my floor and about everything to the point there was more DE than floor. Also around the walls i made it look like a clump of dirt was placed. I usually have ants and lady bugs like crazy in my house. I havnt seen a single bug in my house this summer, or bed bug. Dont put it on your bed though, just by bedbug covers. And also dont breath in to much.
@thesmiths9 This is exactly right. Put the DE at the bases of each of the flowers and on the leaves. I wear "Jersey" gloves so I can see how much I've got and then use the gloves themselves as the actual applicator, works very well and you don't get a great deal of "dusty" look that way. I also like to use an old mustard bottle (some DE comes in bottles like this anyway) and I use it to make a little "ring" around the base of any plants that I can see bugs crawling up.
bedbugs are annoying!! they infest your bed and sofas. i used 2 have them at my old house we had to throw all furniture out and bought a sealed matress and kept it sealed until we moved.
@SIG551P Taken internally, DE is supposed to kill internal parasites the same way it kills garden pests. Also, it is very high in silica, which is good for the skin, hair and nails, as well as vitamins and minerals.
@ConsiderableGravity Yep... Google and Youtube monitor traffic and trends from IPs... BUT regarding Bed Bugs... You may have found 1 but where there is 1 there is Some and Some leads to many...
glad I found the video - I was thinking about DE but never knew I could also consume it (FOOD GRADE DE for you folks curious). I placed my order on the site - awaiting the 4 pack, duster and shaker!
Diatomaceous earth is completely awesome. Five years ago I had roaches in my kitchen and I never thought I'd be able to get rid of them, but diatomaceous earth did the trick in just a few days. I didn't need much; just about a fifth of the package I bought. I kept the stuff around, and last winter when bedbugs got into the place, I thought I'd never get rid of them either... but isopropyl alcohol on the mattresses and diatomaceous earth on and around the beds and furniture did it over 2 months.
@genmama1955 I soaked my mattress in isopropyl alcohol with a spray bottle. The little buggers cringe right up and die instantly as it dessicates them. Make sure your windows are open!!! Then let the alcohol evaporate. It'll kill the bugs and eggs in the fabric... make sure you gets in the seams... and the diatomaceous earth will kill any that try to sneak back to your bed. We had them just before Xmas... by mid-January they were scarce. I saw (and killed) the last one in early March.
@genmama1955 Also, once you've sprayed the mattress, wrap it in plastic and use tape to seal it. Some of them are supposed to be able to live for a year, so if you trap them inside, you're safe. They'll starve, if they survive the alcohol. Probably not a bad idea to get rid of it, though, once you're sure you're clear. No sense getting a new mattress, though, while you still see them from time to time. The like to hide behind pictures and in the frame, too, so keep an eye out.
I CANT EXPRESS ENOUGH THE NECESSITY TO MAKE SURE YOU GET FOOD GRADE D.E.... If you use the stuff you use in your pool youre gonna REALLY mess yourself and your loved ones up. D.E. outside of FDA food grade genre is like little razorblades in your lungs. Its DEADLY. Make sure you get the food grade guys.
Question: What does it do to intestinal flora (acidophilus, bifidus, yeasts and bacilli) when you drink it daily. What's the best liquid to drink with it?
what kind of a sadist are you to collect a bag of ants just to put some DE in there to kill them. Have you ever seen how much ants (or any insects) suffer when they touch that stuff? That's sick...
How about all the driving you do that crushes all the little buggies, or better yet, all the food you eat that has all those little critters you consume (no matter how clean) OOOOH MYYYYY goddddd noo. Make sure to walk carefully wherever you go because you may only paralyze the insect you step on creating a horrible and prolonged agonizing and veryyy traumatic experience for the little critter.
In this world it is impossible to avoid living at the expense of others. No matter what we do, we cause some sort of harm to the well being of other living entities. But that doesn't justify harming other beings just for the hell of it. Why don't I go find you and rip your skin off and laugh as I wait to see how long it takes for you to die? Using DE or pesticides or whatever to protect yourself is one thing but to kill animals or plants or anything for absolutely no reason is sick
I know it works because my daughter has used it for years. I do think, although the ants will die from it, putting them in a sealed baggie for more than an hour will also kill them. They need oxygen too. You might want to find a better way to demonstrate the effectiveness of using it to kill insects.
Amazing! Just ordered the 4 jug special! I've had friends recommend this to me who use it around the house and yard; the family and pets use it as well!
i take this and noni juice and i love it, i can wake up more easily in the morning and have more energy through out the day. i know this one woman who uses it and loves it and she knows one woman who it got rid of her really bad arthritis. I give it to my dog as well and it has helped her constipation and i heard one woman say it got rid of her dogs heart worms after a month. :)
@kk1000vid It kills insects basically by scratching open their shells -- and they ooze to death. (Kinda like us bleeding to death.) When you consume it FGDE scratches the gunk from the lining of your intestinal tract thus ridding your body of bad stuff that has built up.
Moved into an apartment a month ago only to find it was infested with roaches!!! I HATE roaches and started researching extensively on how to get rid of them. Even after they sprayed with the chemicals, they were still not gone!! After reading and doing some research on DE and coming across this video I immediately ordered some. In the beginning of using the DE, we would find only dead ones around and then after about a week, we no longer see any at all! Way better than chemicals!!
I have a hard time growing plants because of mites eating at roots and I'd love to try this product. If people are worried about it getting stuck in their intestines because of a bad digestive system, they should consider trying drinking kombucha maybe before or after ingesting the D.earth, it has LIVING enzimes (like yogurt) that help you digest and break down food in your belly, They sell it organically at whole foods and sometimes liquor(sp) stores, any store that sells organic stuff im sure.
We have joint pain and My Lady has/Had super high Blood pressure within I kid you not her blood pressure is dropping in the first week we have been using Diatomaceous Earth to all those people who dont think this will work for them I ask one thing Do these people have some kind of ailment that is killing them well probably not all I know is that I use Methadone so I can walk and if by chance this product will help me with 25% of reducing my pain then in all. its well worth using in OUR HOME
Works PERFECTLY on the fleas on cats and dogs. I had battled for 2 years living in Florida until I got some Food Grade D.E. and now NO MORE FLEAS!!!!!!
I would like to know if you think this product will kill Scottish Midges. I have been plagued with these tiny predators for almost 2 years in my apartment and car! I sleep with cotton in my ears so they don't walk in. And they crawl in my pants leg. I've tried many things...
OMG!!!!! thank you so much for this video a friend has been suffering for weeks with bedbugs were going to try this product hopefully not very expensive great find ...
Does it hurt animals? But would it hurt the worms. Cause the worms are necessary for the airaition of the soil. The ladie bugs are good for eating other bugs. Will it affect bats cause they also eat insects. Will it affect the praying mantis cause they also eat bugs and are also not aloud to be killed. So please let me know all of these details. Does it get rid of parasites in the colon and intestines. Wow that would be awsome if it gets rid of parasites.
Does it work on fleas? Cause I am not going to have my two cats get fleas again this year. It drives them crazy and these new fleas are bitch to get rid of we have tried all kinds of stuff. We have alot of land and there is woods next to us and the creek. Flea Heaven. My outside cat gets them and then gives them to the inside cat. The outside cat will not be going out for awhile though cause his leg was bitten by a Fox. So he is in recovery and do not want his wounds getting infected.
I hope you don't kill too many insects cause we need them although sometimes they can over run things. I do want to get rid of bed bugs though. Not that I have any but I have had clients who have and hotels do get them and it sucks. I wouldn't mind getting rid of the stinky bugs. We have Box lighter bugs but they are kind of cute. I would love to get rid of roaches in our apartment building. Hmmmm very cool stuff you have there. I am interested.
Very very concerned about people with diverticulosis ingesting an indigestible product like this. It could collect in intestinal pockets. Since it is an abrasive and the colon is a really violent part of your intestinal tract, this could be like a wad of sandpaper on very thin and weakened tissue.
Any research on this? Otherwise, looks like a great product. Also used in toothpaste and tooth powder? Nice vid.
The diatomaceous earth particle is so small (it is finer than talcum powder) that it causes no damage to the digestive system---even for those with diverticulosis.
@EdVidz I know people who won't use Psyllium seed husks simply because under a microscope you can see that they have potential to cause lesions in the intestines. So I'm sure they certainly wouldn't take this product. I could be wrong but well if you eat balanced following traditional Chinese medicine and diet you don't need to be cleansing your internals so harshly and out of balance in the first place.
I would like to know if this also works on mites on dogs. I have been fighting an infestation of mites on my dog for 2 - 3 months and have used VERY strong chemicals but apparently what I used didn't get rid of them on his beds. I'm treating him again but want to know if mites are in the same class as the bugs you've stated this kills so quickly.
Dust from diatomaceous earth products, especially those that contain high amounts of crystalline material, should NOT be inhaled. PermaGuard Fossil Shell Flour is amorphous (non-crystalline) and is Generally Regarded As Safe (GRAS), but as an extra safety precaution the dust should not be inhaled.
So putting it in some tea or water (even if you use the non-crystalline) is a safe way to ingest it.
I bought mine 10 lbs last year and still using it...no bedbugs, no roaches, no ants, no...well, no insects at all...and those who possibly wonder in my apartment they are already dead (they just don't know that)
Yep, it works perfectly against insects and for the humans as supplement in food or drink...I don't have a pet so I don't know does it work well as for me. Only problem with DE (we are talking about food grade DE...not DE used for filtrating water in swimming pool that DE is chemically treated and dangerous for health that one you can find in store I believe) is, sensitive skin will dry more that usual and itch is possible but with using some cream for hands and body that will go away.
Does DE expire? (i assume not considering the nature of the product) but i still wanna know because i bought a 50 lb bag from the feed store for said uses, but that was a few years ago.
@thesmiths9 ls DE okay to take along w/ other vitamins & supplement like fish oil, multi vitamin & evening primrose? My dog takes fish oil too. Does DE prevent flies & mosquitoes??
@SodiumCyanide Yeah it figures you would think that with a name like sodium cyanide, do You work for a pesticide company? But I admit, a little happy to be killing bugs, I really dislike having to kill bugs, all they do is want to survive like all of Us.
OF COURSE a healthy supplement won't be endorsed by the FDA! They'd rather endorse allow for poisons like aspartame, or that red coloring that's put into raw meats at the supermarket so people will buy it!
Hell, they even want to SILENCE the competition unConstitutionally!
PS. My mom cancelled her years of service with her pest control because I told her about it,she gave it a try and was thrilled at the results. In fact she told me it worked better than the spray the pest control was using and it's cheaper and not a chemical~! *
and no I don't work for any DE place but I should hehe
I love this stuff and here's why,we bought a historical property which had ants and Asian beetles every where,I wanted something natural that would not harm me or my pets,so I did some research and ran into DE. Went to my local co-op and bought a bag for about $10 or less, little did I know this stuff also kills roaches, fleas and ticks and more! I haven't had to use Frontline on my cats in 2 years now thanks to DE! Plus I saved a lot of money on pest control ; p (bet they hate that)
I got this stuff 5 days ago and my pain in my right knee went away and the dry skin on my face went away as well thanks again Larry for a quik delivery! The sad part is i tell this to my freinds and they dont belive me . its just sad!
@visionhasvoid have you tried this yet for bed bugs? I think I'm going to try it if it works b/c all the pest control companies want alot of money to exterminate!!!! Please let me know how it works for you!!! Where do I buy this from???
this comes out of the ground.and they crush it up and don't do any thing with it.and you eat it.just like that with out having it clean first for bacteria.I think it's good for the soil.and bed bugs.but not for humans to eat.
You use filter grade DE in your pool filter---Not food grade. There is a big difference!! Pool grade is very dangerous to people and pets where food grade is 100% safe
Good point about bees, already mobile phone radiation is harming bees which, if they died out, would cause catastrophe for crops. Also if you dust this stuff everywhere won't it scrape away the lining of the lungs or cause stomach ulcers?
Not the food grade---You use the filter grade DE in your pool filter. They are 100% different products. The pool grade is great for filtering, but is very dangerous. The food grade is safe, organic and natural---just like it comes out of the ground
thank you for this video. I have a quick question. I recently bought some DE which says that it is human grade, I'm assuming that is the same as food grade however most of the food grade DE that I've seen has a white coloration and the one I have is a light tan. I was planning to use this for my cat and also for myself but now I'm kind of scared because of the color discrepancy - do you think it's safe?
There are different grades and pureness levels within the food grades. We sell only Perma-Guard food grade for that reason---it is the purest. You are correct--it should be white in color. If it is labeled "food grade" it's still ok to use---it just has a few more impurities in it
It is probably food grade---just not Perma-Guard brand. If it is off color, it is not as pure as Perma-Guard is. That is the reason we only sell Perma-Guard---it is the purest of all the food grades
@thesmiths9 How is it safe on earthworms? This seems very bad to use on gardens if you are using beneficial insects! Using a water solution to spray your plants.....if the bee walks to another flower...the bee will die and maybe transfer DE to other bees if they have to remove the dead bee from the hive. There are other ways to limit insects in our gardens without destroying nature. Not know about you but I miss the butterflies, praying mantis and ants do pollinate plants and aerate soil too!!!
@TheSooostoned Too many to mention, but among those, I have not been sick since I have been taking it. Try it, it is organic, taste free, (except for the smell of dirt) and inexpensive. Make sure it is food grade though.
@lambmaster27 you may not understand that the FDA is composed of industry leaders. Its a revolving door where corporations select who will regulate them and those who favor them in the FDA get well paid positions in the companies. I know nothing of the safety of this product but I do know that if the FDA cared about allowing us good products (not just profitable), we would be eating fresh hemp seeds for breakfast and we would be allowed to buy local raw milk products. Question authority.
@TerrorOfWisborg I am in the health care industry and I can tell you that it is time we all started taking care of our own and our families health proactively. This product has improved my families health and is relatively inexpensive. All I can say is do the research if you are skeptical. I did and have been rewarded with glowing health. The FDA is just too big to dissect every product out there. Take charge of your health, government is not going to no matter what is promised.
@Gnikman33 Right. Education is much needed in this world. People instantly trust authority instead of exploring all they can about something and deciding for yourself. The FDA is just the gun and enforcement team of the corporate giants. Do what is best for yourself and take the reins of your own health! The "experts" let HFCS pass after a 90 day trial to drive up fictitious demand on corn and control prices (EPA does it too-ethonol) but the many diseases it cause are chronic slow building!
@TerrorOfWisborg please don't pick on ethanol, it may not be the fuel of the future but it can be used in our old and antique cars even if they're unmodified. Remember it has been used as a racing fuel for years!!
As for the fuel of the future I would say It has to be Electricity ("Altair Nano" and "A123") have both invented two different "lithium nano batteries", the best electric car batteries we could hope for. In the case of Altair Nano a battery that can recharge in 10min and go 200-300km.
No one has spent the millions of dollars and years of research on a product that you dig out of the ground and cannot get a patent on. Remember---it is always about the money!!
lo, people are supposed to know only what is allowed for them to know not to endanger the established consensus and status quo - all based on moneymaking standards. things like these - there are plenty of them. check out MMS - FDA goes after it quite bad... because it is USEFUL and accessible replacement for antibiotics... or check out KUDZU... another interesting story. WE HAVE HUNDREDS OF ALTERNATIVE MEANS, BUT OFFICIALLY NOT EXISTING. ((:
it worked!!! I gave it to my cat, and no more worms! She was pregnant and it did not hurt the babies, and when the babies were about two weeks old, I dusted the nesting box and the fleas were gone.

IceTheCom 6 months ago 3
yes diatomacous earth does these things and is relatively chemically inert, but it has huge draw backs and you need to put like an inch down on the bed board under the mattress to have great effect. you really have to use lots to literally bathe insects in it to dehydrate.
Pimpmastahanhduece 6 months ago
Not true at all---in fact, do not overuse DE. Just a small amount of DE will work great! They die a little faster if they have more DE on them, but the clean up is harder----just use a small amount

@thesmiths9 wut wuld u call like over using it... bcuz im about to buy some & spread it all over my bed & floor & shit bcuz these bed bugs are wild
gageakashuckthegreat 5 months ago
@gageakashuckthegreat Im not exactly sure what over doing it would be considered exactly, but i spread a good amount over my floor and about everything to the point there was more DE than floor. Also around the walls i made it look like a clump of dirt was placed. I usually have ants and lady bugs like crazy in my house. I havnt seen a single bug in my house this summer, or bed bug. Dont put it on your bed though, just by bedbug covers. And also dont breath in to much.

johnstonalligator 6 months ago 24
DE is usually not a problem for bees---just keep the DE off the actual flower and the bees will be fine
Larry
thesmiths9 6 months ago 2
@thesmiths9 This is exactly right. Put the DE at the bases of each of the flowers and on the leaves. I wear "Jersey" gloves so I can see how much I've got and then use the gloves themselves as the actual applicator, works very well and you don't get a great deal of "dusty" look that way. I also like to use an old mustard bottle (some DE comes in bottles like this anyway) and I use it to make a little "ring" around the base of any plants that I can see bugs crawling up.

PatchesRips 7 months ago
@PatchesRips Did you dilute the alcohol or use full strength? Did you spray it on?
genmama1955 7 months ago
@genmama1955 I soaked my mattress in isopropyl alcohol with a spray bottle. The little buggers cringe right up and die instantly as it dessicates them. Make sure your windows are open!!! Then let the alcohol evaporate. It'll kill the bugs and eggs in the fabric... make sure you gets in the seams... and the diatomaceous earth will kill any that try to sneak back to your bed. We had them just before Xmas... by mid-January they were scarce. I saw (and killed) the last one in early March.
PatchesRips 7 months ago
@genmama1955 Also, once you've sprayed the mattress, wrap it in plastic and use tape to seal it. Some of them are supposed to be able to live for a year, so if you trap them inside, you're safe. They'll starve, if they survive the alcohol. Probably not a bad idea to get rid of it, though, once you're sure you're clear. No sense getting a new mattress, though, while you still see them from time to time. The like to hide behind pictures and in the frame, too, so keep an eye out.

MountGoth 7 months ago
Does it harm bees, moths or butterflies who pollinate plants?
LinkAtZeld 7 months ago
I know it works because my daughter has used it for years. I do think, although the ants will die from it, putting them in a sealed baggie for more than an hour will also kill them. They need oxygen too. You might want to find a better way to demonstrate the effectiveness of using it to kill insects.

It's so harmful to insects, why it is benificial for human?
kk1000vid 8 months ago

Nice vid.
EdVidz 9 months ago
The diatomaceous earth particle is so small (it is finer than talcum powder) that it causes no damage to the digestive system---even for those with diverticulosis.
thesmiths9 9 months ago 2
@EdVidz Diatomaceos Earth does work on all insects no matter what their home. You will just have to Google the proper mixture ratio.
fimomandingo 9 months ago

Yep, it works perfectly against insects and for the humans as supplement in food or drink...I don't have a pet so I don't know does it work well as for me. Only problem with DE (we are talking about food grade DE...not DE used for filtrating water in swimming pool that DE is chemically treated and dangerous for health that one you can find in store I believe) is, sensitive skin will dry more that usual and itch is possible but with using some cream for hands and body that will go away.

thank you for this video. I have a quick question. I recently bought some DE which says that it is human grade, I'm assuming that is the same as food grade however most of the food grade DE that I've seen has a white coloration and the one I have is a light tan. I was planning to use this for my cat and also for myself but now I'm kind of scared because of the color discrepancy - do you think it's safe?
o0oPINKATARIo0o 1 year ago
There are different grades and pureness levels within the food grades. We sell only Perma-Guard food grade for that reason---it is the purest. You are correct--it should be white in color. If it is labeled "food grade" it's still ok to use---it just has a few more impurities in it
thesmiths9 1 year ago
@thesmiths9 the man i bought mine from repackaged his in bags with his own labels and the color
is an off-white color.. and a very very fine powder.. do u think he mixed it with something ?

It is probably food grade---just not Perma-Guard brand. If it is off color, it is not as pure as Perma-Guard is. That is the reason we only sell Perma-Guard---it is the purest of all the food grades

If you use it on your flower beds, won't it kill the good bugs, like bees?
thatwomanwiththehair 1 year ago
Just keep the DE off the actual flower and the bees will be ok. DE is also safe on earthworms.
thesmiths9 1 year ago
@thesmiths9 How is it safe on earthworms? This seems very bad to use on gardens if you are using beneficial insects! Using a water solution to spray your plants.....if the bee walks to another flower...the bee will die and maybe transfer DE to other bees if they have to remove the dead bee from the hive. There are other ways to limit insects in our gardens without destroying nature. Not know about you but I miss the butterflies, praying mantis and ants do pollinate plants and aerate soil too!!!

lambmaster27 1 year ago
@lambmaster27 you may not understand that the FDA is composed of industry leaders. Its a revolving door where corporations select who will regulate them and those who favor them in the FDA get well paid positions in the companies. I know nothing of the safety of this product but I do know that if the FDA cared about allowing us good products (not just profitable), we would be eating fresh hemp seeds for breakfast and we would be allowed to buy local raw milk products. Question authority.
TerrorOfWisborg 1 year ago
@TerrorOfWisborg I am in the health care industry and I can tell you that it is time we all started taking care of our own and our families health proactively. This product has improved my families health and is relatively inexpensive. All I can say is do the research if you are skeptical. I did and have been rewarded with glowing health. The FDA is just too big to dissect every product out there. Take charge of your health, government is not going to no matter what is promised.
Gnikman33 1 year ago
@Gnikman33 Right. Education is much needed in this world. People instantly trust authority instead of exploring all they can about something and deciding for yourself. The FDA is just the gun and enforcement team of the corporate giants. Do what is best for yourself and take the reins of your own health! The "experts" let HFCS pass after a 90 day trial to drive up fictitious demand on corn and control prices (EPA does it too-ethonol) but the many diseases it cause are chronic slow building!
TerrorOfWisborg 1 year ago
@TerrorOfWisborg please don't pick on ethanol, it may not be the fuel of the future but it can be used in our old and antique cars even if they're unmodified. Remember it has been used as a racing fuel for years!!
As for the fuel of the future I would say It has to be Electricity ("Altair Nano" and "A123") have both invented two different "lithium nano batteries", the best electric car batteries we could hope for. In the case of Altair Nano a battery that can recharge in 10min and go 200-300km.
