Let's not forget, he's the media's favorite target. I was watching Benoit Brunet the commentator of RDS, constantly criticizing him over and over again. Our Montreal fans know hockey but some of us could be more media-wise. I love Andrei Kostitsyn, a great player, who's expectations are way to high. He's a 2-3 line forward potential. He's got skill but gets hit all the time and loses his stamina. Trust me he works very hard just needs right people on his line. Erik Cole would help him.

Secondly, if Andrei decides to play to his potential after being traded away from Montreal, that means he had no place in our organization, for whatever reason it is; may it be pressure or social environment. That is, if he has a future in the NHL.

@Nashtak Ever since the 'darkest day' debacle last year he hasn't been the same. He has 22 goals in the season at February until that bullshit and ended the season with 23. Ever since then I knew he was done in Montreal. I know a lot of Habs fans hate him but he's not like our other russian speaking players that bailed (grabo, perez, s.kost, samsonov). He never complained. Ask him to play 3 yrs in the AHL? He did it. Ask him to play 4th line? He did it. He's still our most physical fwd too.

The reason why he isnt playing that way is because of the defense first approach by coach Martin. One defensive mistake Martin sticks him on the bench. How do you expect him to play with confindence ?? Put this guy on an offensive club and I think he easily score 30-35 goals in this league. Frolov is a UFA this summer and also has 1 goal in 10 games. He got called out by his coach and even benched for a game. Not only that, Andrei is 4 years younger. I couldn't care less about Sergei, but Andrei has always started his season slow so I think they should be patient.
