  • @pshyco714 - It is very possible since the chickens and pheasants are in the same family. The only problem is to get them to breed, unless you have a super horny rooster, so horny that it will hump anything that moves.

  • Camera is a Panasonic P100. This video was one of the first that I had done. Love the camera! Still learning.

  • awesome! camera has great video and stereo audio... what type is it?

  • Evidently, yes. It was proven and found it to be true as shown in the Photos on

Check out the website FEATHERSITE /Poultry/NDG/Pheas/RingN/BRKRingNHybrids. Male cross between a Ringneck cock and an Old English Game bantam hen.

A cross between a Ringneck cock and a Pekin bantam hen -- her legs, which can't be seen, were feathered. There are two birds, the offspring of Ringnecks crossed with bantam chickens. However, my Abraham was not succesful.

  • is it possible to breed a rooster with a female pheasant?

  • Although we gave him the proper food for pheasants, he preferred the layer pellets ..Yes..Super Horny Male.

  • How did you get that pheasant to breed that hen? It's very rare to have to of the different species to mate, unless if you've got a super horny male.

  • Didn't work....all the eggs that I collected that may have been from his chicken, were unfertile.

  • holy shit man how did you this ive been trying this for weeks

    responed back

  • None. Didn't work. Duds

  • any hybrid chix yet?

  • Once the Spring Season begins, Peeper Blinders do very little to help. At that time, ONLY ONE male per pen is allowed to live with a harem. Keeping more than ONE male in a pen will result in blood thristy fighting. Often, IF more than one male is present for mating season, the fights begin and only one male is left standing. It's NOT a pretty sight.

  • That is a "Peeper Blinder". When pheasants are in captivity they can be very cannibalistic starting at 5 weeks old, mostly males. It's a plastic device that has small prongs that fit into the nostrils on either side (doesn't hurt or injure them at all). It prevents Eye to Eye contact with one another. They can see out the sides and just within, kinda cross eyed, but can't see straight forward. Works like a charm in keeping the peace between most of the time, except "Mating Season".

  • What is this yellow gizmo they have on their noses?

  • what kind of chickens u have?

  • This bird is a Ringneck Pheasant, of traditional breed size 3 years old. He had been VERY well fed. He would eat Wild Game Bird food but chose the Chicken Layer Pellets regularly. He grew to very large- also got fresh fruits and veggies of every color to choose from, every day. Although....HE became extremely noisy 1.5 weeks ago- started crowing at 3:45 AM, every 10 seconds all day for several days!. I live in a VERY tight neighborhood, close houses. Neighbors complained...he's supper tonight.

  • is this a jumbo ring neck? i wounder what color they wil b

  • I collected several eggs from the chicken nests that are in my incubators now along with pheasant eggs that were laid. Hatch date about May 28. However, I have several Bantam Hens who laid these eggs in colors of green/blue & pale egg color. Can't be sure which belonged to THAT hen. There are pictures of such results on the Feathersite website, however, on that site it was stated "More were hatched but they weren't very thrifty and most died as adolescents". We shall see.

  • have u tried hatching d eggs?
