Thank you so much for your kind words. Hardly a day goes by that I don't think of her. We feel so blessed to have had her in our lives. She was very special and will always be in our hearts. I really miss her. Thanks again.

aw, so cute. awsome job raising her - not an easy task keeping orphaned babies alive. you could probably still litter train her, put the litter box in the corner you said she always uses. save some of the "used" litter (or whatever bedding lining the cage) and put it into the litter box you want her to use. i'd love to find out if she learns to use a litter box. keep posting updates on little miss melvin!

Thank you so much for your nice comments! Melvin is a joy and we love her! I will probably try the small litter box in the corner when we graduate to a larger cage soon. She is definitely outgrowing her current one. She is now 11 wks. old! Thanks again for writing!!

She's a cutie and exhibiting common rabbit behavior. They are territorial about their special areas and so the toy tossing is very normal. My rabbits do it too.

What is funny is that she sometimes pulls in a toy herself and then throws it out, like she's playing. We are really enjoying her. Thank you for all your comments!

She *is* playing - bunnies love to toss things. Mine generally tosses stuff around when she wants attention, wants to play, or both.

Actually, he does not use it as a litter box. He has always viewed it as his own little room or something like that. He loves to sit,lay or play there. He has never eliminated there...he always goes to one particular corner. Just tonight he was pulling his toys in there himself and then tossing them out! He is so much fun. Thanks for writing!
