OMG i thought i was the only one who recognized the pure, raw genius of larry conklin many years ago on cable access tv. over ten years ago, a band i was in played a twenty minute clip of larry as our "opening act" when we couldn't find him to ask him to do it personally.... somewhere, i have several "episodes" showcasing larry's innovative hot licks and vocal stylings. i have to do some soul-searching first to see if i'm ready to share my own personal LC memories with the world.
