Oh my God...Ted Levine is so GREAT actor, it's unbeliveable! I watched this movie about 3-4 times, and Monk is one of my fav. TV series, I couldn't believe that the same guy was acting captain Stottlemeyer and Buffalo Bill.

Hannibal Lecter was so psychotic that it seemed unreal. But the fact that Buffalo Bill is a combination of three real life serial killers makes it more frightening. And what Bill did was a lot more disturbing.

@thunderheart226 Didn't you see the bullet casing dreached in blood (That's when Martin started Screaming) he kill's them before pulling them out, He called her an "It" because he was viewing her as an "Object instead of a person" it made it easier for him to kill and skin them, Plus the way his basement is and how he moved around in it when Starling finally found him, He may have had a way out that was unknown to anyone but him most likely.

This allows him (the killer) to not see the victim as an actual person, but only as a thing so that he doesn't get emotionally attached and regret his actions. He wants her to put the lotion in the basket so that he can take it back. In the movie he kills fat women so that he can skin them and use the skin to make clothing.
