No it wasn't stolen from this demo. This version is just a cover of the orginal. ;)

Timbaland is the only one who stole Acid Jazzed song from Tempest.

Demoscene groups release demos to impress other people with their skills to code different stuff on different systems(PC,Amiga,NES,Atari 2600 ect.) and this is mostly done by effects and pushing the hardware to its limits.

In the 90' art became also a big part of demos but effects are still around being still the most important.

also: Demos are realtime calculated on computers and not videos! But they have been converted to videos for YouTube because YouTube dosen't support running them in realtime. ;)

as a musician i use a cool VST by ReFX,

that is C64 based, quadraSID.

quite cool. have used it in some releases.

The VST/emulators do not emulate the bassfiltters correctly so it's not real enough. ;)

I'm recommending that you use real hardware for truesound.

I haven't played Afterburner on the C64 since the late 80's but for some reason my memories are being knocked back to that time at 1:17 in the video. It looks like "if memory serves me" that they have taken the sprite/image of the Jet from C64 Afterburner and used it in the demo!? No big deal, and i have no problem with them using it, but i just thought i would mention it in case someone knows?
