  • Forget Rolling Stone; any media kisses the ass of sales/cash. Beck fans kiss no ass; we idolize Beck for free!

  • Oh my! I don't even like electric guitar but I must agree w/ Pava when he said in talking about this cut on Ti Adoro that w/ Jeff Beck the song has new power and energy! Pava is my heart but the way Beck spins that sound around Pava's God blessed voice is---------heart stopping!

  • without question. the greatest tenor of the 20th century and beyond.

  • It's impossible for me to rank the top guitarists of all time...there's no # 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5....Jeff Beck is definately up there though. Top 5 in no particular order would have to be Jimi Hendrix, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck and BB King but even the top 10 would be in no particular order.

  • @eastcoasterner listen to beck understated complimenting the voice not in the way of it...at 4:50 to 5:00 there isn't a guy who ever lived who can get that sound not hendrix not vai not stevie ray vaughn No One.....jeff beck, django reinhardt, steve vai the 3 greatest who ever lived in that order i don't care what anyone says...clapton isn't even in becks league

  • @renduke pavaroti knew Beck was in his own league and thats why Beck is on the recording

  • I've been dragging my guitar head friends to see Jeff Beck since 1969, and without exception, at the end, they are all in tears thanking me. Most think they know what he's about until they see him live..... then he just shatters all their circuits. WTF!!!

  • I've seen that 14th thing and checked out the list,I just saw Keith Richards on #10 and laughed. He's supposed to be better than Jeff Beck?

  • Two of the greatest singers ever. One of them sang with his voice, the other sings with his fingers. Both sing with the voices of angels.

  • jeff, has the power of the planets at his finger tips.

I would like to thank the planet that loaned jeff to us.

surely.. no human can do what he does with a guitar..

for god's sake don't take him back home.. we love him far too

much here on earth..play on jeffery..play on.

  • And the tears fall like rain...........

  • Beck #14 ... absurd. He is arguably the most original, innovative and unmatched guitarist in the history of rock. Maybe, and it is only a maybe, Jimi Hendrix could be his equal for doing with the electric guitar what no other human has done.

Rolling Stone once again proves it's irrelevance.

  • @onceuponamidnightdry absolutly correct!!

  • @rockbeckpage Thanks.

  • this is just a amazing song, of deep power and passion of soul, a real rarity, Christ Bless this song forever.

  • this is like drawing a moustache on the mona lisa

  • brought tears to my eyes also.. god bless you jeff

  • such beauty.. god bless you jeff

  • Divine talent Thanks

so good to hear Beck in the background of such a beautiflul melody

  • Beautiful

  • For some reason, this song makes me cry.

  • I did not know about this recording. One of the greatest voices ever working with one of the greatest guitarists ever. The story of how it came about — talent seeing talent and creating the chance to work together and this song as the result — is what sums both of them up.

Bravo to both of them and thank you for posting this.

  • I cant understand a word he's saying- but yeah, Rolling Stone sucks- and Jeff is great-likewise Pavarotti-I'd love to hang out with these two.

  • @greatbighand. The vocal is supposed to be out front in this piece. If there was more guitar then I think it might take away from the vocal, at least Jeff had a small solo in this. Well done.

  • I don't like the mixing, the guitar is too much lost on the background. The Pavarotti performance is very good.

  • Bravo! What a treat to hear two incredible talents united within such a beautiful song.

  • POUCE MAGIQUE" deux "Maîtres" pour cette "stupenda" chanson Napolitaine !!! MASTERPIECE ♥♥♥♥♥

  • Apparently Pavarotti and Jeff were recording at the same studio complex. The singer heard Jeff playing and was so enamoured that he invited him to play on Caruso. As for the Rolling Stone 'Best Guitarist List'... Ask Vai, Satriani, Perry, Slash, Sambora, Clapton, Page, Santana, McLaughlin... even George Martin and the late, great Les Paul next time you see him (at which point you may not care about this matter). Jeff transcends the musical genres. And let's face it, he KILLS!

  • 14th ????? what fucking planet is that writer from ??? and what the hell is he doing writing about music..he obviously has no idea !!!!!!

  • 14th ????? what fucking planet is that writer from ??? and what the hell is he doing writing about music..he obviously has no idea !!!!!!

  • Yes, I agree (about Rolling Stone), once upon a long time ago, a great magazine. I've always thought Jeff should have always been number one. I'm not so sure any other guitarist in the history of music, has been so influential, even though most people have no idea! Even Hendrix- and this is documented- was influenced by Jeff's use of feedback, echo, distortion, etc., which means a lot! I love Pavarotti, this is a beautiful song, but I'd love to hear it without drums- more like a classical piece.

  • WOW!!! 'nuff said!!!

  • what a great song. jeff does it all. great combination. 2 masters.

  • pavarotti is the best period......as for lists ? i agree with the poster below.....Beck 14th best ever ? PLEASE !!!!!! I guess that means the first 13 are GOD

  • What can you expect from Rolling Stone? They put Joan Jett on the top 100 guitarists of all time. Joan Jett? I played better guitar when I was 12. Why aren't I on the list? Jeff Beck is another matter. He belongs on any list of best guitarists.

  • best lists...oh jezzzzz !!!!!!!! if Beck is 14TH Best ever on guitar i guess the 1st 11 or 12 are GOD.....Watch him play nessun dorma o2 version the guy squeezes out sounds no one else can even find......listen to him here !!!!!!! subtle wimpers he is to guitar what Pavarotti is to voice

  • "MASTERPIECE" canto napolitano , avec "pouce magique" et il MAESTRO , houhaaaaa ou la recherche du "BEAU" , la perfection!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Grazie amico !

  • this is so fabulously and incredibly outstanding talents by two great men that I respect very much !

  • Increíble, impresionante la guitarra

  • what can we say....about both artists....!!!......GOD BLESS MAESTRO....A LEGENT NEVER DIES..:-)...HAPPY 2010....MAESTRO...!

  • Beck is the best on this planet. He is the common thread between all of the standouts in every genre of music - all have gone out of their way to have him put his sound behind them. He is a generous soul and a pure-hearted craftsman.

  • I totally agree with the posters here..

    This is some serious music-making.

Beck is always as unpredictable and fiery, good mix too.. great vocal pick-up..

  • what a fabulous combination. Pavarotti's wonderful voice and the totally awesome jeff

  • Pavarotti is the voice of God and Beck just makes the guitar cry without getting in the way of the voice....BRAVO

  • The Voice, and The Guitar!

  • the greatest voice ever and greatest guitar player ever met and played....it's only justice

  • I've always hated Rolling Stone Magazine for a lot of reasons I won't go into here. And I usually don't like lists of the best this or that. But for Beck to be rated 14th is just beyond absurd. Simply idiotic. Rolling Stone sucks. And yes Jeff Beck is my favorite guitarist. He's the most inovative and interesting to listen to. No one else seems to be able to pull the sound like he does.

  • I don't care what them rated or said,

or what kind the "best guitar solo ever",

Jeff Beck is always the best in my mind.

    Thank you for coming!

  • Amen brother.

  • there will never be anothe voice like pavarotti's. and jeff beck is one- of -a -kind. i'll always remember this song and 'becks bolero'.

  • These two are GOD's sound.

  • @longr8nge Friend of mine had the Truth - I'd pester him to play Bolero - Even 40 yrs ago Jeff could blow u away with his instrumental talent.

  • Thank you very much for this, I love this song and its an interesting collaberation.

Such a beautiful melody and the passion that eminates from both performers is 2nd to none.

    Made my day thanks

  • brings tears to my eyes. such passion

so beautiful. the late luciano, the magic

of the brilliant jeff beck. perfect.

  • whatCD is this from?

  • ti adoro -Pavarotti's last album.

  • amen! amen! amen!!

  • musical manna from heaven!!!!

  • I love this song,

    it's a masterpiece,an amazing crying song!!

    God kissed Pavarotti's throat ,

    and kissed Jeff Beck's fingers.

  • @rockbeckpage Perfect!

  • Thanks Emma a beautiful song, fantastic voice, fantastic guitar and lead break

  • WOW!!! What a treat!!! So beautiful! Thanks for sharing this gem with me. xxx
