  • very nice.

  • Absolutely amazing. I have been trying for years to practice real genuine Bagua.

I wish one day it happens

  • Respect. Nice work!

  • Brother. You just inspired me to get back into Bagua, it's good to see someone evolve and take this to the level it needs to be taken while still maintaing its spiritual core- which is present in your every move. I haven't practiced in ages, but I feel I will begin to do my own free-flow stuff just as a result of watching this.

  • If such a video can be widely published in some Chinese video web like youku or tu, u may gonna be very popular. But im not sure =P. Btw, is 八卦掌 work in real fighting? like against boxing? i know little thing about it.

  • why you add a "屌" in the end?

  • @wcymeme 因為開心

  • 所以 台北市 有教八卦掌囉? 影片好酷~~~

  • Train on top of Taipei 101. The thin air and wind will make you strong haha

  • DAMNIT that is taipe metro station

  • Sweet!

  • so... I train off from this? I'm just curious cuz I really like the style but I have no background on martial arts whatsoever.

  • Well, this just got added to my "Favorites"...

  • This is a completely unrelated question, where did you get those shirts? The red, blue and khaki ones?

  • Ive got time in HApkido and Pekiti-tirsia but for years wanted to train in Some type of Kung fu like BaguamTai chi or Wing Chun. Im fortish but I think I can do it! Thanks for the great vieo. Now if I can find someone good here in Boston..

  • Excellent video... you are very skilled! I'm also a fellow Bagua Practitioner... if only you are in saint louis, we can workout together in bagua.

  • That was more than excellent, great job, really.

  • Great footwork Bro .

  • May I ask where you got the wooden dummy?

  • @vietle87 My wife got it for me for Christmas last year. It was in Taiwan somewhere, but she is still keeping it a secret. Women.

  • Realistic and traditional at the same time. Really good bagua

  • damn it i miss taiwan

  • I do have a question. I come from a Japanese martial art background (kendo). Do you guys do have some sort of theory on pressuring the enemy in your sparring times? Just wondering. In kendo, we have something like that which we call seme (attack).

  • @mikeymarshful We don't emphasize pressuring the opponent through any one particular drill, but pressure must always be prevalent when practicing combat. I have taken a few good cuts training with my master. Not having equipment gives a different type of pressure.

  • @warfox777 I see. Alright, thank you! I learned something good there!

  • This is fire right here. Made me go and work out!!!

  • 2:57 is just brilliant. Circle walking on stools around the table. BTW, where is this? Taiwan? I don't recognize any of the buildings or parks, so it can't be HK or SGP.

  • @sustainablehuman This is in Taiwan. Glad you enjoyed it.

  • w00t! great job on the video.

  • Nicely put together video - really enjoyed this. Thanks for sharing.

  • so i just caught the sound clip at the end from the movie "The Last Dragon" Excellent choice! Sho-nuff!

  • tienes una muy buena tecnica de ji-sao

  • great video

  • I really love this video

  • @kuksoolwonninja Thank you so much

  • Love the training, only one thing to critique though. When you're doing your reaction training your person throwing the jabs tend to just keep throwing one after another, it would work a lot better if he through them more randomly you'd get a lot more out of that workout....btw LOVE the run and gun. people don't train fighting multiple opponents like that. too often try to take them out in one on one scenarios..much better just run and hit vitals.

  • This makes me wanna learn 八卦掌. I have been looking for video like this that really make me believe 八卦掌 is effective because of the fast speed in this video.

To learn 八卦掌, is it important to choose the right style?

  • @ZombieNGhost The right style is important. The right teacher is important, but most important is to train it right. The best style in the world is worthless if you don't practice hard. Yet the most worst style will be come most effective if you put your heart into it. Everyday, all the time, improve.

  • @warfox777 bagua looks like crane just a bit

  • I like this a lot warlock. U r very good. Come to Austin, Texas, we have a Yin Style Bagua group here. Keep it up man, I love ur videos, they are very solid.

  • @HANGER187 Austin Texas= Sifu Gary Stier for Bagua, look him up. A wealth of knowledge.....

  • awsome display of skills, this is fun to watch. keep up the good work ,bravo!

  • lol this is awesome : P hence why i looked it up

  • Awesome video! Nice to see you're (as always) going places :-)

  • what song did u use

  • @casimie001 This is my song. It's called my life is a fight scene. You can get it on itunes in about a week.

  • Keep the clips coming, you just set the bar extremely high fam!

  • The evasive stepping was sick!

  • @warfox777 - Great video - may be coming to Taiwan in April, over easter - hope to catch you then!

  • I am finding much of Bagua as it appeals to me. I am a Wing Chun martial artist. As I see more of Bagua, it reminds me of the training of a Kung Fu teacher named Bernard Courtney who studied Bagua...might have been Gao. Anyway, I would like to ask questions about postures of resistance towards an opponent. Basically, postures that are solid to where the opponent can not move you. Let me know...I am ready to perfect my way with other systematic ideas.

  • @tdbevolution Well all of the soft styles entail rooting to the ground. Which uses postures that resist, deflect, absorb or divert the incoming energy. How ever Bagua's true secret comes from stepping. Every attack and defense begins from the legs meaning it is not always the best option to be stationary. Taichi focuses much more on being in the same space while moving the opponent back. Xing yi uses the same postures for overpowering the opponent, like a wing chun tank. Hope this helps.

  • @warfox777 In a way yes. I will be dealing with research on this in the coming months. I personally would be testing out many postures to see what works and how I can shorten the stances to have the same effects since Wing Chun is more short in-close fighting. I have had to use Bagua lately. I do love the system and what it has done for me. I do not know it as well as you though. I do not claim it as an actual martial art I have trained in. I hope you keep posting. Great stuff!

  • 屌!!

  • Nice!!! I wish there more like you posting...

  • Hey Fox have you ever met Luo De Xiu in Taiwan? He practices Gao style Bagua.

  • @papertiger7 Yes I have, I trained with him for about three months.

  • Respond to this video...我們最近在忠孝復興sogo 後面練。我們在強調棍子的練習。你想要來嗎

  • Respond to this video... 我們最近在忠孝復興sogo後面練。想要來嗎

  • @warfox777 孔師父~星期日有在練習嗎??:D 小弟很有興趣

  • unbelievable, the video along with the music is very intimidating, you have mastered kung fu outside of combative movement in a spiritual order. rare to see something like this in Europe, ever thought about doing seminars in Germany? i believe the internal martial arts community of Germany would benefit from your teachings a lot.

  • @rAFiCoRe I would love to come to Germany sometime for a seminar

  • Very impressive!!!!
