  • Is that LLoyd Newell doing press ups in the black jacket? RIP pal.

  • It's like a game of chess....but with the smell of carbine in the air.

  • 7hnv7hnv3

  • why do these guys use so much american kit? later on in this very series they complain about 'damn yank rounds' so it cant be because it is better. does anyone know??

  • @MrPorktoast what kit are you referring to?

  • @SooSneeky Well they have some american m4's and what appears to be some american helmets.

  • @MrPorktoast i think its due the fact of them working in the middle of nowhere so they familiarise themselves with american kit just in case they have to use it but otherwise im not really sure.

  • @MrPorktoast Those are not M4's but L119A1's/Diemaco C8's from Canada.

  • @TheSafetyTurtle i know that now, but it still doesnt explain why they use diferent helmets and a few different rifles, whats wrong with the standard kit?

  • @MrPorktoast Maybe they like them better than the Mk6s or 7's they get issued? if a piece of kit makes you more confortable while doing your job just as good or better, than by all means go nuts!

  • @MrPorktoast different soldiers play differnt roles in there groups, so they get different guns

  • I was surprised that the journalist used the word "truck" as opposed to "lorry". What's the difference?

  • @SuperMike82 'Truck' is American for 'lorry'. We've just absorbed it (in Britain) without realising.

  • Most of the Pathfinders in this video are wearing an RAV paraclete vest but what vest is the major wearing at 2:00?

  • Is the Parachute Regiment a Special Force? are they Commandos?

  • @AchillesMetalManiac they are classed as special forces and are a part of the special forces support group, commandos are the royal marines

  • @paulturton27 Neither Parachute regiment or Royal Marine commandos are classed as special forces. Parachute Regiment and classed as Elite Infantry and 1 Para is classed as SFSG (Special Forces Support Group).

  • @jackjeffery75 their work takes them beyond what a standard infantry soldier would do so that in itself puts them into the bracket of special forces especially the pathfinders. also i didnt say the royal marines was special forces, he asked what the commandos was which i said royal marines

  • @paulturton27 Sorry mucka, but you're wrong. I'm in the Parachute Regiment and we are NOT classed as special forces but ELITE Infantry as our skills are far better than the standard Infantry soldier. However the Pathfnders are classed as Special Forces.

  • @jackjeffery75 ok i will word it different, i served in the army for 9 years did 2 tours in iraq and 3 in afghanistan before a injury forced me out of the army, in my opinion from what i have seen with my own eyes in those situations me personally would class the paras and rm as special forces due to the work they carry out

  • @jackjeffery75 im 11bravo 4thid served korangel valley northern afganistan and the only thing different from you and me is that you where trained airborne. i was in a line unit mec infantry

  • @2313jkjk Yeah fair enough mucka and I respect you for being in the army and going on tour but all i'm saying is the extra training we recieve classes us as "Elite" I'm not saying that I agree or disagree with that I was just stating the fact to paulturton27 that neither Paras or Royal Marines are classed as Special Forces because we're simply not. No disrespect intended on you mate

  • @paulturton27

the army can do the all arms commando course which makes them commandos

  • @sarahooxo i know that but when someone asks what a commando is they are generally talkin about the royal marines, you can also have the para wings without bein a para

  • @paulturton27 Gap between the Paras and other Infanrty Regiments has been well closed with Iraq and the Argan.

  • @SCD4 What's that meant to mean?

  • Most dangerous place on earth Juarez, Mexico with 24,000 executions a year including cops and military personel.

  • @PeanutButerJellyTim1 yea executions meaning there stupid enough to get caught, wouldnt be dangerous if they didnt get caught

  • most dangerous place on earth, Venezuela.

  • genghis khan did control afghanistan...

  • @Navlek79

Actually he just killed everyone and now about 20% of the afghan people are descendents of his soldiers.

  • @j4ck2234 even so... he did control afghanistan

  • This is Battlefield 3

  • This is laughable. The Brits have had the shit blown out of them via road side IEDs. Their enemy eludes them and inflicts deadly damage in classic guerrilla style warfare. Meanwhile the MOD sends these cannon fodder around in lightly armoured vehicles. Any idea that the war is being won is a perverse distortion of the truth. Afghanistan will never be controlled.. check your history.

  • @TheMotherEagle

Actually, in case you haven't noticed, these light vehicles make A LOT of sense as they move primarily OFF-road, where it's only random chance to get hit by IED.

As to the war - no operation/project has ever been accomplished without clearly designated goal; which Afghan conflict lacks, it's real, text book "scope creep".

  • @TheMotherEagle yeah cause the humvee ain't a death trap when it comes to IED protection and unlike the jackal the humvee is a sitting duck in the event of an ambush at least the jackal has the mobility to get out of an ambush and take the fight stright to the enemy with much more firepower.

  • 4:47 Lol at the guy shaking his head while watching the reporter learning to use the machine gun.

  • Why is this narrated for children?

  • NICKELBACK!???

  • more disciplined than the americans

  • Comment removed

  • Why in the world are they driving for 3 days to get to where they are going? Why not fly in and fly out?!

  • @maverickguy12 depends on the circumstances, if they were meant to go somewhere to find a path sorry a safe path then they would go on foot. also sometimes its too dangerous to go in the air.

  • @maverickguy12 Because they are the pathfinders, finding a path would be a long walk without vehicals.

  • @jordankilljoy6 they are not official special forces but they are technically special forces yes.

  • hate these raghead cunts, but then again were only after the oil

  • Comment removed

  • @210482fmj have you been in any part of the military? call me naive, but i have witnessed first hand, and understand from the start of my deployment exactly why we was there in the first place.

  • Comment removed

  • @FullVolumesOnly And why "was" you there then?

  • @Hornet0biker because greedy bastards want more and more oil, this is why wars start, MORE is what everybody's concerned about, more money more this more that, but us militants survive on near enough rash-ons and 4 litres of water.

Well truth be told that's more my opinion but I can clearly state my evidence towards it. Have you got anything to say? you have nothing to do with the military therefore you're opinion is not appropriate.

  • @FullVolumesOnly oil? afghanistan? you sure about that?

  • @paulturton27 Afghanistan has up to one billion barrels of recoverable oil, enough to last a few years, do some research..

  • Afghanistan is the one just war we've been engaged in

  • @larkin540 WW2 Nazi takeover??????????

  • @larkin540 Strange comment

  • do they have the ta in the Pathfinder

  • are tehy the Special Forces Support Group

  • Since I'm canadian I'm going to try to become a JTF2.

  • @UnleashTheLava do you have any british ties or reletives?

  • @ASSASIN3601088 No, why are you asking?

  • forgive my stupidity but why do they use Jackals ? it doesnt have bullet proof windows.

  • @lesterjames007 I was thinking the same thing, they are way to exposed, Pretty ridiculous

  • @Insurgent999 thats a vehicle i dont want to be in when i run into an ambush.

  • @lesterjames007 mobility in rough terrain and extreme speed and reliability. they replaced the Scimitar light tanks, which did offer a lot more protection, but were prone to mechanical failures, most crews of jackals are ex scimitar crews (not these guys, these guys are paras)

  • @lesterjames007 yea thats true, but they are a fast moving type of group, they want speed and mobility. if this car gets hit by an IED though mostly likely everyone in that car will be mained or dead. since it has no cover.

  • I'm going to try and be part of special operations

  • nickleback i want be a rockstar thats my song

  • Those training areas are basically real life call of duty maps. should organise a game of search and destroy with lasers and blank rounds

  • @MinorHeadstorm shut up.

  • @WWWallace71 prick

  • @MinorHeadstorm go back to playing cod while the real heroes risk their lives for your damn story

  • @WWWallace71 fuck off it's an illegal war

  • @WWWallace71 BANANAS!

  • 6:27, Nice Vortex there lad!

  • Are these the SFSG?

  • Lol they were listening to Nickelback.

  • This is nearlly the same as them filming the British SAS in this way.

  • That's me laughing at you thinking the time of superpowers is over.

  • Too Much! Can you imagine what the enemy could do if they ever captured one of the vehicles used by the UK soldiers?

  • @MrPhotodoc They couldnt do much, as we dont give up.

  • Real american casualties in Afghanistan and in Iraq are many times more than in official figures. They just cover-up casualties to avoid mass demonstrations like in Vietnam era

  • why would ppl even find something to dislike in this

  • 5:24

    That guy is a dick.

I bet a good lot of them are this way.

  • The UK and the US have the BEST militaries in the world. You guys kick ass. I hope I get to serve with some of you guys once I'm a Marine.

  • You forgot the germany,pal.

  • @theLEMONcitrus Germany is awesome in it's own right as well : )

  • @skittlesareyum48 hohohoho, you are all so disoriented. not a single afghan or iraqi ever committed any terrorism in the us. hoho you missed the turn, germany, saudi arabia egypt and florida are the places to go hohoho idiots. alexander the great could not defeat the afghans and they will eat you alive, they have 3000 years experience in this hohoho

  • @TheCentralServices Agreed with almost all of what you've said. Main thing tho, the Taliban isn't a military... and why the fuck do you keep saying "hohoho"???

  • @skittlesareyum48 I never said the Talibans are military. I say hohoho because the American citizen has voted for Bush and the wrong turn twice, discredited the usa internationally and now has to pay for all this nonsense not only with tax money but also for the massive interest on your little war overdraft of 14 trillion $.

  • @TheCentralServices Don't be prejudiced. Not everyone voted for Bush.

  • @skittlesareyum48 Nobody opposed the war on terror! If you are not with us you are against us.

  • @TheCentralServices You speak like a Hitler and Bush

  • @ruslan2336 "If you are not with us you are against us." Of course it sounds like Bush. This is a quote from Bush! Hitler never said that. Hitler?? Why Hitler?

  • @TheCentralServices Look for The Gallery of "Bush = Hitler" Allusions in the google and you will know why

  • @ruslan2336 I knew that there were extermination camps all over the US!

  • @ruslan2336 Bush and Hitler are not the problem. The people who vote and support them are. All people who voted for Bush and Obama must be exterminated.

  • @TheCentralServices This is not the case. People who voted for them have no choice. They got only 2 candidates, both of them militarists and fascists. The situation would not be better if they choose another candidate.

  • @ruslan2336 I heared that every US citizen born in the US has the right to become President! There are more than two.

  • @TheCentralServices This is true only as a theory! But in the reality you can choose only 2 candidate, both of them are very aggressive against own nation and other nations. US should change itself, otherwise other nations will force USA to change. This situation will not last eternal.

  • @ruslan2336 Yeees the times of superpowers are over.

  • @chunkyfecalbreakfast lol? What is that? Elaborate!

  • @TheCentralServices History is rubbish talk because it's irrelevant regarding this current Afghan war. The mission isn't to 'conquer' Afghanistan which is why NATO are not using all out force. The mission is to subdue the specimens so that we can get control over the oil pipe. We are trying really hard to beef up a Western puppet government that can take control of the internal affairs of that country so that we can pull the troops out eventually and it's this which is proving most difficult...

  • Comment removed

  • @TheCentralServices Why remove your comment? U were only asking me a question? They have wanted a pipeline there ever since the 80's. Why do u think the CIA/MI6 funded and supported Bin Laden against the Soviets? We need to shift all that oil from the former Soviet countries north of Afghanistan to Europe. We can't go West through Russia for obvious reasons (they cut the supply whenever they feel like it lol) so we must get it south and on to convoys. We fight wars for gain, not anything else :)

  • @TheARMAProductions As I said, there is no pipeline. And after the Bin Laden fiasko it is more than unlikely that there will be an American one. Chevron is out. The US do not want oil. They want Russia!

  • @TheCentralServices So you think Russia is the reason for the Afghan war? I have to disagree. I believe my explanation was more on the mark but who knows.

  • @TheARMAProductions Before global warming afghanistan was one of the few accessible icefree access to the sea for the soviets. operation cyclone was intended to make the russians invade afghanistan, now the US are killing their children, the taliban.

  • @TheCentralServices But why are we (we being all of NATO) interested in Afghanistan now? it's energy related mate...believe. If it is for Russia then again, it's for their oil :)

  • @TheARMAProductions The Americans want Russia!

  • The thing is that the taliban - which are just civilians who take up ak47 for money and religion fight agains thanks and trained soldier and outruned. An still they call the american and british they brave etc... But if you think about the taliban and alquaida are more more crazy and brave that any of them. Dont get me wrong i think that sharia law is insane but i dont understand why this soldiers think there brave. There pathfinders, there trained to follow orders, there killers of humans.

  • @system0system0

most of the casualties for the british and americans come from cheap hidden bombs the taliban bury as they run and hide away in the dark like rats. You call them brave?

  • @porcu12345 Considering theyve got no tanks, drones, helicopters, bombers, fighters, heavy artillery pieces, satellites, secure supply lines, supply communications, and their outnumbered by god knows how much what exactly do you expect them to do? Stand in a fucking line and let NATO shoot them all with one bullet? Your not talking about bravery. Your talking about mental retardation. If they were cowards we wouldnt have had a combined task forces fighting them for the last 10 fucking years.

  • @porcu12345 Was this comment a joke? I dont believe it, 5 talibans with home made explosives against a army of fully trained killers is not brave? What is brave for you, Rambo style killing, its impossible. 5 talibans attacking with ak 47 5 military hummers. If they didnt hide they would die and i think the goal is to kill the enemy and fucking stay alive. Taliban are brave and a bit more than the alies because there religious euforia is much bigger.

  • this are brits, right?? why the m4??

  • @waxdclxvi special forces

  • @djmelodyex Pathfinders arn't special forces

  • @djmelodyex Pathfinders arn't special forces, they are just a force multiplier, Our only special forces are SAS,SBS and SRR, some consider paratroopers special forces since they are a direct support to SAS and SBS

  • @waxdclxvi

ar15 or c-17a1 brits own carbon rifle made in the early 90s for canadian forces

  • @AmphibiousReconMSOB thanks man...

  • @waxdclxvi From what I understand, although they're not special forces (Though they're pretty much the next best thing, lots of Pathfinders end up in the SAS), like the SAS, they're allowed to choose their weapons. And they're more likely Canadian C8's than M4's.

  • Much respect for you guys!

  • 2:08-2:11 was some of the WORST muzzle discipline I've ever seen. Barrels pointed right at the back of the head of the guys in front of them! If it was just one guy Id call it a mistake, but it looked like every guy in the stack was going in the same way! Damn, I really hope it was the camera angle, cause there is just no excuse for that.

  • underated bhoys

  • See what I dont understand is, due to the high numbers of IED why didnt they just chinook the pathfinders into the place they were destined to go :S ...

  • @vennom212 Because they check what's between home and destination... All recce platoons do...

  • @TheLewisJackson Hence the name ^^

  • 4 people are members of the taliban

  • 40mm Grenade Machine Gun - Except no substitute.

  • 2:59 biggest stiff upper lip ever

  • Yeah Pathfinders use the C8 Demarchi, Decent Weapon System, anyone else who has used it can back that up

  • Those terrorists want to go to heaven? Well the British army can help them accomplish it! Blow those fuckin Taliban to pieces!

    :D

  • The Canadian M4 C8

  • yaaaa GET SOME!

  • I do enjoy the fact that they all use the american m4...

  • @TheMaximilianMck Canadian C7 or C8, sorry dude...

  • @thefierce123 no worries, the comment was merely meant to highlight the fact that aren't using the SA80, and by the way I'm not a smug yank, UK here.

  • kill the fucking terrorists , good job guys

  • @iSmeLLbUd keep of the crack

    listen to m249af above me

  • British pathfinders are elite man they can tag enemy vehicles with laser strips for the artillery to bomb them with dot on accuracy their is no other unit in the world that can do it like these boys they can sit among enemy units tagging targets for jets naval munitions or royal artillery pathfinders FIRST IN....

  • O FFS i'am sick of people Hyping up random units...First it was Marines...now it's Pathfinders...they are just British marines with SLIGHTLY different training.

You may argue with me but i will not reply

  • @TheGnomelandSecurity marines? you mean paras...

  • @4:50 I wonder what that guy on the right is thinking...

  • these are the SAS the world best elite force in the world

  • @MultiPlayaaa these are not sas, i actually know a pathfinder hes fitness is ridiculously good , yer it looks like sas as they work behind enemy lines, if these were sas there faces would be covered

  • @MultiPlayaaa

surely you know that this isn't....its called PATHFINDER PLATOON

  • @MultiPlayaaa Your thinking of the paras Pegasus unit i think m8 their pretty much SAS but the parachute regiments equivalent these boys are pathfinders there pretty much recon units but with a bit more bang they can do recce missions but unlike other scout troops these boys can hold their ground there given top class kit and like the SAS they dont have to use the British armys SA80 A2 they can choose their load out before they go on operations they are Deadly and feared among britains enemys

  • MAN FUCK THE WORTHLESS OBAMA SUPPORTERS WHO THUMBED THIS SHIT DOWN, EAT SHIT AND DIE YOU IMMIGRANT SYMPATHIZING YANKS, FROM VENICE BEACH,CA w00T W00T

  • MAN FUCK THE WORTHLESS OBAMA SUPPORTERS WHO THUMBED THIS SHIT DOWN, EAT SHIT AND DIE YOU IMMIGRANT SYMPATHIZING YANK, FROM VENICE BEACH,CA w00T W00T

  • My brother's friend, Steve, was in the Royal Irish Regiment (Pathfinder group).

  • "So you guys are looking to get up, close and personal?"

    "AWW YEAH!"

The Pathfinder walking around with the camera is funny as hell.

  • ow please...the are just regular soldiers that are trained to jump out of aircraft THATS IT! i saw a regular british battalion with the same vehicle...military police also used it for road blocks

  • @TheGnomelandSecurity your posts are stupid, just because they use the same vehicle does not mean they are the same unit...

  • @TheGnomelandSecurity yeah they use the same vehicle as other army units of course because its a new weapon to add effectiveness and fire down on the enemy with improved armor and I.E.D protection this vehicle in particular has replaced the British army's land rovers and its a great bit of kit thats why alot of units use them but pathfinders are different to other units mate there the only ones in the world that do the things they can and the tech they have for tank tagging is unreal....

  • stupid inbred wankers

  • @omid11 why?

  • @omid11 u go say that to one of our lads, if u walk away alive, i'll give u a fiver

  • fuk off u brit stoney fuck piss off

  • @clanowar Not even worth that mate

  • closest to being in the SF without actually being in the SF

  • fighting this war unconventionally seems like the only way to do it :P

  • if i dont make the army air core when i join as an officer, may go for infantry then this :)

  • @Louisthefish23 if your gonna go infantry go royals mate. (royal marines that is) AAC is a fuckin good job tho, or engineers

  • Do the talibastards really leave their wounded behind? I didnt think i had any respect to loose for them but they still amaze me.

  • @goliathlup1 well usually the taliban clear the bodies before the troops can even find them

  • Love the guy at 4:50 shaking his head as the journalist shoot

  • osama bin laden disliked this video im guessing

  • @fbbbbbbbbiii Too cool Joel ;)

  • I wonder why they chose the M4 over the L85A2?

  • @wolfyys, because technically they are like special Paratroopers, so like special forces they can use whatever weapons they like.

    Hardcore lol

  • @wolfyys its simply a better weapon, with more 'punch' than brit weapons and it tends to jam less and need less cleaning, in other words it can take a beating
