@FreeRSAccountsWeekly If you were not an illiterate moron, you would be able to tell that my video was published in 2007 and kipkay's was published in 2009. Therefore I could not possibly have stolen this idea from Kipkay, so kindly bugger off.
it would have been as good as kipkays if not better if you had the mirrors focus the light to a smaller point it would light stuff alot faster and be more powerful
I'm going to try that with one of those giant bed-sized satellite dishes that no one uses any more and a whole bunch more mirrors. It should make a great coffee warmer.
Yeah, I know that, but there is a scientific experimentation involved with that much sun concentrated on such a small spot. Can I melt aluminum? Can I melt steel, or at least make it glow bright red? Imagine blacksmithing without a coal fire...
You have about 80 mirors, if you fine tune this mirrors to a single focal point I belive it can burn things much more quikly. My 110 2"x2" mirrors turns the surface of a piece of wood in black coal in less than a minute.
I like solar death rays, I made one last year with 5 concave shaving mirrors. It was loads more efficiant than yours. Card woluld go instantly, the best thing I tried was a bleach tablet, Loads of noxious smoke! LOL
Million dollar bill..... You stole that from kipkay

Have you seen the R5800 yet? Uses the same principle, only with 5800 mirrors.

That's nothing. I once set a whole newspaper on fire in a matter of like 30 seconds with a magnifying glass!

I once set a whole newspaper on fire in a matter of like 5 seconds with a blowtorch.
It's really not a competition, he's built something cool.

why does it look so dark sorta but its sunny
masterchief3k 2 years ago
The camera's trying to compensate for all the light coming off the cardboard, making it look normal and everything else look dark.

They focal point seems the width of a magnifying glass. Shove one in there and youve got an awesome device.
ExplodingTurtles 3 years ago
Wow you angled each mirror to basically represent a parabolic shape.
Good job!

What would happen if you gave a bunch of mirrors to a group of kindergarten kids and teach them how to direct the beams in unison .

Two minutes for smoke, around 4.5 minutes for flame, and 9 minutes before it's Completely Gone.
