hey.. do you have a bit of a lisp here ir is it just me? I don't remeber you having one in other walk throughs though i could just be thick not not notice till now
this was pretty impressive but i couldn't watch the whole thing, the screen kept going black too much and it was hurting my eyes since you were going so freaking fast! pretty amazing tho, i watch your videos on my tv with a roku box btw
its an awsome hard game! I remember when I first played it omg it was freaking hard!!
To this moment i havent been able to finish it.
Did you do the other game similar to this one, with another wiz that looks like gandalf, at the end you fight off a dragon, I loved that game and I actually finished it, but I cant remember its name. Something Immortal I think.
Cornshaq, as far as myself and a lot of your other fans are concerned you have no need to prove anything to anyone. I enjoy these videos a lot and never once has the thought "are these legit" popped into my head. Because I honestly don't care. I just really enjoy watching these games being played from beginning to finish.
Keep up the good work, I look forward to your next video.
@kaobasa I agree with you. I also enjoy watching the videos. And I watch them when I get stuck in a game. The videos helped me beat difficult games like Ninja Gaiden and Castlevania. :-)
What's up with all those TAS allegations? Why do people always think that something is impossible when they can't do it themselves? An emulator is just a tool to play the games, it doesn't mean you have to use save states and cheat!! It's great to see that there are still people like cornshaq today who have so much discipline and patience to master those difficult NES games.
@OLee82 We have used different arguments that make us think that way. There are many strange things in his playthroughs. Look at his Back to the Future 3 playthrough. The first stage's speed is doubled due to a problem with emulation. It's not humanly possible to beat that. Or this Solstice run. He has memorized 251 directions, the order to follow and what to do in every room, and he does all that running.
He only needs to attach the replay files and he will settle any kind of discussion...
I hope you attach a replay file with every playthrough, and not just a few of them with easy games. If you are going to play again BTTF3, make sure that you play the double-speed version. That's the difficult part, the rest is easy.
If you are tired of this, you just need to record replay files to prove that your playthroughs are legit. Something that's easier and less stressful than getting angry and deleting comments.
@ShadowFlare7799 Ok I know what it is I thought it was something different you guys were talking about it. I work on my videos months in advance but I will show you guys a few of them in the future I am really sick of this whole thing I work to hard on these videos for this crap to come up. I am already working on doing Back to the Future Part 3 again since no one believes that video but I have a lot of stuff to get done for the Zelda marathon next week which I will be playing Zelda 2 live.
@CornshaqGaming Just ignore those idiots who come at you, and start giving that bullshit that your Play It Throughs are fake. I really believe that you haven't made any edit with the footage of the gameplay. All I have to say is: Keep it up!
I think that is very strange that you don't know what a replay file is. Anyway, tell me what emulators you use and I'll explain how to record replay files.
All your videos are possible, but you do very suspicious things. Like knowing where to go in Solstice even before the screen has completely appeared (you appear directly running on the right direction). Or your Megaman 9 and 10 videos, your only non-emu gameplays, in which you didn't play as "good" as usual, and you had to excuse...
Hey corn, man you beat me to this, I am STILL working on finishing this game. Great playthrough. THis game is a brutal one to just sit and do in one sitting like I am trying to do for my videos. VERY tempted to use emulation now. I am up to 4 pieces of the staff now though. Thanks for showing me where the piece I am missing is. Never thought to look in that room you have to go UP in.
When are you going to record the replay file of each of your playtroughs? I know that you play on emulators and not in the real systems. You ask for money to buy games and then you play roms. I think that to be fair and not a fraud, you should play games on the real systems, or prove that the playthroughs are legit with replay files.
You enter each room running in anticipation where you have to go next. Have you memorized by heart the directions to follow for 251 rooms? Hard to believe.
@MrMaskaman Still no sure how to even do that replay file stuff also I am not asking for money anymore it is still up on my old videos since I haven't had time to go back and erase it. Also I use emulator due to quality of video being a lot better since my hd capture device stinks when it comes to composite which is what the old systems are and my old capture device has a lot of issues I only use that one when I do runs for SDA.
@CornshaqGaming I know a lot of u still don't believe its possible to do half the videos I do but it really isn't that overly complicated most of it comes from studying other runs first like I did for solstice then right down what I have to do per room and then practice which is the longest part
I didn't know about this game until now. Looks kinda interesting though I'm not sure if this is the kind of game I'd like. Perhaps I should give it a try while watchign your video again...
@TheMovieSequelDude49 Sure I will work on it soon I am getting a lot of requests for this lately I just have been very busy with EMT Training now that I am done with that I can work on a video for it.
@stunstrike1 He said he finished training. He didn't mention anything about getting the job. they'll tell you 99 percent placement but that 1% is a lot bigger these days.
Great Play It Through, Corn! I'm going to put Solstice into my NES tomorrow, it's been ages since I played this awesome game. Don't you think too, that we've got the most epic Title Theme in the complete NES library ever?
I had that game when I was a kid, but could NEVER get the hang out it..... I didn't like the POV, and because I couldn't master playing at that angle, it was never in my favourites pile. But thanx for posting this bit of childhood nostalgia
This is one of my all-time favorite NES games. I've always liked puzzle adventure games like this. By the way, are you going to do the sequel Equinox too?
I managed to grab a copy of this game for 2.99 at a store a few months ago... Strange controls but the soundtrack is what kept me playing. Great work as usual Shaq.
This so reminds me of The Immortal only 8 bit instead of 16 :) Great video!
