  • LOL 1:10-1:14

  • He Looks like Ashton Kutcher

  • Hahaha! Oh my gosh I hated those stupid side hugs. So much of this video is true. Even down to how cars were split up for camp. The worst thing the youth leader could have done was make it guy cars and girl cars. Just kill you on the spot. Junior high was such a crafty time in my youth group. By high school people just became way more obvious about it and didn't care.

  • @natespann29 So when my youth-group went to go rebuild houses, and save lives after Hurricane Katrina, that was unbiblical?

  • Personally I love my Youth Movement:) there will always be people who come only for girls/guys but you can say that for any place. Its just awesome to connect with people my own age and be mentored by leaders who truly want to help you in your walk.

  • I just went to a youth group and I realized how true this video is :( :) haha hehe lol

  • 1:10 - 1:13 was the FUNNIEST PART!!! :D

  • you just made a video about my youthgroup.

  • this is so so true, though i did get so much closer to God through youth group.

  • i love youth group but we dont have all those weird games in them and its nothing like that

  • Hahaha my side hurts from laughing. >D

  • please let this be a joke right.....

  • @EmandGs no, he is a legit Christian

  • Youth Groups are unbiblical and there'es a reason the family integrated church movement is gaining ground!

  • sooo true! :P I LOVE YOUTH GROUP!! Only, we have implimented the hug tackle......

  • I totally used to go to youth group.... then my parents switched churches... and the the new youth group is full of very shallow people... and as I cannot drive yet (what an accomplishment for a high school senior), I cannot go back to my old youth group, where we actually got stuff done.

  • My youth group exactly...

  • Yeah, gotta be careful how the youth group is run. The leaders need to keep the goal, the reason for the youth group, in mind. So many just turn into a hangout spot for teens. NOT good.

(Just got back from youth group :D)

  • Oh gosh, I know that crazy kid. xD

  • by the way: define "adult class" please

  • My youth group is a lot deeper than even I'd think. I enjoy it. It's very engaging and I don't like a lot about what you say in this vid. I mean honestly you'd think the purpose of youth group according to you is a way to hook up with girls. Is it? Not at mine.

  • @TheChurchTheBride

You'd be surprised at the number of large churches that turn to worldly means just to get people to come, and I'm not talking about just the youth group. When numbers mean everything, standards, music, and eventually, the preaching slips. Then you have a social club + sometimes Jesus.

  • LOVE YOUR SHIRT!

  • "All the good girls go to Youth Group." Not really.

Also, I despise youth group- it's so shallow and superficial. What on earth are you truly going to learn about the Scriptures when you spend all your time throwing balls at each other and wearing Sumo Suits? Ah well, just my two cents.

  • @North0house

... guess it depends what church and crowd your with.

  • @North0house

Exactly. The "good girls," aka, marriage material, go to the regular services! The youth group, by and large, is the place (at least at our church) where kids from the neighborhood usually hear about Jesus for the first time, hopefully get saved through the preaching, and THEN become productive, growing Christians.

  • I hate those prayer braggers! "My dad just became richer than Steve Jobs, so pray for that. Oh! And I just got my own pet T-Rex. Pray for that to.". Who cares!?!? And the guy who have no friends, the only one I know is a "Christian" if you get what I mean.

  • I go to the adult class...I'm 14....

I've been going since I was 13 and it's a great way to learn stuff beyond your level, beyond what you on your own would ever think to study.

  • christians are all deluded nut jobs anyway.

  • @BrunhildaSwecker

Honestly, if you have extreme arguments like this you should totally take it to a group that will join you in attacking other groups without understanding it.

  • "You went skating, you went to the movies.." Wait, I thought he hated going to the movies...

  • @JohnsonAllie He does, but that didn't mean he didn't go. :P

  • would hate to know this guy.

  • this is so funny

  • lots of the comments are all "My youth group is not like that!""

But I think what Jordan is focusing on is a majority of youth groups in today's church- let's face it.

    They DO exist. :/

    Sad, but true.

  • haha... my youth group doesn't do this stuff but we have fun :)

  • i love youth group but mine is nothing like this

  • That's where all the good girls are! After all Jesus went to youth group.... what he didn't? Oh well that's why he was single!

  • and not to mention, adult class is supposed to be for those who are ready to take a step up and try learning and gaining a more intimate relationship with Christ. so next time you decide to bash youth group, think about why some of those kids are there. and for the love of all thats good and right, have a little structure to your nights in youth group!

  • dude this guy is waaaaay too one sided. there are other youth groups out there (God forbid i say this) THAT ACTUALLY LEARN ABOUT GOD!!!!!!!!!! Im so sick of new wagers knocking down youth group. sure you have those kids that do that stuff t youth group. but arent they the ones that need to be there? we're meant to help and direct them and teach them maturity, not see the way they act and give it up for a lost cause.

  • This so true.

  • Next Wednesday when I to youth groups I'm gonna show this to everyone lol!!!

  • Our most popular game in youth group is the Speed The Light game!

  • "After all, Jesus went to youth group... oh, he didn't... that's why he was single!"

  • WHY ARE YOU YELLING AT ME!!!

  • I totally loved this! Your videos are AMAZING! I'm seriously considering in saying, "Marry me?" but I don't want to be like EVERY other girl here ;)

  • i've been to a lot of youth groups like that, unfortunately... I feel like too many try too hard to attract teens by being "cool" but end up loosing everything else.

  • youth group rule....

  • haha this is funny, but i get exhausted just listening to this

  • HAHAHA!!! Man, I love this.

  • This is so funny but, my youth group is never like that. We played like Zombies, Find the youth pastor, Find the bible, Scripture Games, & Church Quiz & lots of other games... I <3 my youth group

  • @BrideofJesus17 We played Chubby Bunny with Marshmellows

  • we always played a game kind of like "honey if you love me" but instead of honey if you love me it was "brother" if you love me or "sister" if you love me

  • My youth group was EXACTLY like this! My boyfriend and I did a lot of sinning during that hour. So glad to see so many saying their youth group isn't like that!

  • My youth group is nothing like this!! We never played any of these games. Our game were more normal and crazy fun. Kickball, soccor, ultimate frisbee, vollyball, basketball, timed races, throwing tennis balls coverd in honey and shaving cream at each other. And of course 6-Square!!

  • AFTER ALL, JESUS WENT TO YOUTH GROUP! oh, he didn't? WELL THAT'S WHY HE WAS SINGLE!

  • Man, my youth group never played these games. They'd make us play cruel games, like eating jello filled with various vegetables with chopsticks, or doing a three legged wheelbarrow race uphill while having to do insane tasks (like bobbing for donuts in orangejuice) or getting out a big tarp, greasing it up, and playing soccer with a watermelon.

  • my CHURCH IS NOTHING LIKE THIS BUT ITS NOT LIKE A PRISON ETHER WE PLAY GAME WHERE WE SEE WHO CAN THROW BLOGONGA THE FARTHEST ACROSS THE ROOM!!!!!!!!!

  • Oh hey! I have that shirt.

  • Haha wow. This is hilarious but I'm glad my youth group is NOTHING like this! My youth leaders are AWESOME, genuine and LOVE Jesus!

  • Honey if you love me?! They play that in youth group?!?!

Although my youth group has some of those fun events and trips too, the focus is 100% devoted to leading and teaching authentic Christians to spread the good news about Christ and disciple other people. And I sit through the "adult class" every week, and I'm 17. Might as well get used to it---you can actually learn something if you're not expecting fun and games all the time.

  • @AeroFlameX 100% is so overused sir. Please, spare us. Additionally, I am sorry but these days my youth group consists of arrogant persons being "leaders" and a youth pastor (God bless him), that somehow mends them together into an event creating "cream of the crop". I am so sick of a young lady I know that claimed she was "called to be an African missionary" STILL in our youth group today, now practically taking the place of the youth pastor on occasion going a bit beyond teaching.

  • how old was Jesus when he started preaching? not saying I'm Jesus but if JESUS did it and is calling me to be like him...well thats all that matters. what he wants is what matters(:

  • I'm not sure what I would do if my youth group implemented the side hug. Sure guys and girls hug, but it truly is for comfort.

  • "Why wouldn't you go to Church to meet girls? That's where all the good girls are!"

    HAHAHAH.

Ohmygoodness. Too funny. You have no idea how much I appreciate these videos.

  • I have a guy frined in my youth group like that... 0:30 ....

  • "Oh and be praying for Ryan too." -My abbs hurt right now...

  • Could you explain the game "Kiss and Tackle", I would really appreciate it :D

  • This is hilarious, and sadly, mostly true.

  • This is exactly like the youth group I attended in middle school! I hated it for that reason! I would literally BEG my parents to go to one of their classes! But the last two youth groups I have been a part of are the complete and total opposite! The "kids" (I'm college age now) have a deep passion and love for God! During the last "semester" I helped my older brother lead the worship, and it was amazing to see their love for Christ written on their faces! (We do the side hug thing though! haha)

  • Mine is totally different XD Probably a lot of people would say that but we go there to dig in to God's word. We hardly ever play games :P Going skating tonight though! Funny you mentioned that! XD

  • I love my youth group. most of that ain't even true!!!! except for the one crazy kid in the youth group lol. but I can believe some youth groups are like that but my one ain't.

  • we've never played any of thoughs games at youth group...we always play games where we get PUMLED by our youth leaders. usually with balls. :)

  • @ToGodAloneBeTheGlory they probably have a youth band. our church does and the lead singer lead the worship band. hes in collage now, but i think he did when he was about 15 too.

  • 0:04 Lol~

  • Comment removed

  • Honey i love you!!! :D! That game is what got me my "fiancee" :P Lol..

  • Hey guys!

I'm a Christian and an aspiring independent filmmaker who's trying to get off the ground and find people who are willing to give me a chance at my dream. I'm not looking for drama or hate, but if anyone would be kind enough to give this comment a Thumbs Up then check out my channel, it would literally mean the world to me.

P.S. if you like what I do, or at least would be willing to support me as I get better at filmmaking, then please sub me! Thanks guys! :)

  • HAHA this was hilarious!

  • AHAHAHA! Pretty much! :)

  • haha you guys haven't been to my youth group. Not like this at all... But some of the kids... Act like this

  • Side hug!!! been there in youth group before....

  • Ahhhhhhhhhhh! My mom decided to implement the side hug!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • ALL of this= SOOOOO true!!!! LMBO

  • lol

  • Oh my goodness... its sooooo true about the youth group...

This is like every youth group in America.... haha

  • Spam 9

  • lol this is just awfull hahaha :P

  • "Atheists look at high school like its the glory days. But for Christians, its youth group or bust baby." LOL

  • HAHAHA! I had just seen this video and then we played "Honey if you love me" at youth group for the first time!

  • So true except the purity classes lasted a ridiculous 2 months or so. Never got that side hug implemented though, or the tacky (not subtle sexy) games. :P

  • Not how our youth group is at all... Still really funny. Girls and guys are not all over each other... But this is coming from a girl sooo... The guys could be that way.

  • The side hug... that was the worst.

  • LIES! and i think he was the annoy kid in youth group.

  • haha is that really what all the guys are thinking...bummer i actually thought they were giving me a hug because they liked me as a friend... shucks! haha ;)

  • My youth group is boring. Theres nothing there thats fun and the girls are creepy

  • LOL.

Actually, my youth group didn't play any of those games. The youth group leader actually was one of us before he graduated and became a teacher there. I just went to hang out with my friends, but I can't deny that there were people there that went for these exact reasons.

    ALSO, your shirt is amazing.

  • I'm fifteen, a worship leader at my youthgroup and I'm not gonna lie this is about half true. God has put a very strong anointing on my youth leaders and some of the kids at my youth so not ALL youthgroups are a source for Christian teens to "sin in secret"

  • @KelNMelItsAWinWin You are only fifteen years old but you are a worship leader? Where are the older men at?

  • @ToGodAloneBeTheGlory i sure am. I'm allowing God to use me and grow me! and what do you mean about "older men"? can a woman not lead worship? hahaha

  • @KelNMelItsAWinWin Young man, I don't know you. But in my opinion, the worship leader is no position for any teenager - the one who leads worship ought to be walking in the fear of the Lord and in holiness probably more so than the one who preaches the word of God. Worship is a very dangerous thing and something that should be led by men who are older and have more wisdom concerning the things of God.

  • @ToGodAloneBeTheGlory i kind of agree with you, but at the same time 1 timothy 4v12. :)

  • @kjizzle103 Amen. Don't let people despise you for your youth but also don't do things that would best be done by older men who have experience.

  • @ToGodAloneBeTheGlory In my youth group, no one on our worship team is over 18. Worship leaders dont have to only be older men.

  • @dhenderson124 Maybe so, but you are neglecting the wisdom of the Bible which would tell you to let older men who fear the Lord, are more wise, and are walking in holiness to lead worship. A man who has been a Christian for 50 years knows much more than a teenager who has been a Christian for 4 or 5 years. Why not let the older man lead? It is the smart thing to do.

  • could you give me the verse reference for that? :)

  • @ToGodAloneBeTheGlory have you seen the verses after that? it says not to neglect your spiritual gifts.

  • @ToGodAloneBeTheGlory well i, in fact, am a young lady:) my heart walks in fear of the Lord and hes my absolute everything. he put me in band to grow into a strong worship leader and no matter how old i am, i can do my part in the church, which by Gods plan, is worship. teens can practice holiness to brah (:

  • @KelNMelItsAWinWin See that is what I disagree with. How would you feel about letting a fifteen year old preach the Bible in front of everybody? While positions do help to grow us, the primary goal of them is not to help us "grow into a strong worship leader." You should already be a strong man or woman of God before you ever lead worship. It is wrong to use the worship leader positions to help people grow into a strong man or woman of God. That is a prerequisite.

  • @ToGodAloneBeTheGlory i believe ten year olds should preach the bible. where n the bible does it say young poeple CANT lead? just curious

  • @KelNMelItsAWinWin I don't mean to say that young people can't lead. If I come off that way, I apologize. But I think it is unwise for a 10 year old to preach and teach the Bible to a group of 30 year olds. Wisdom is acquired with age which is why it is important to have older people lead those who are younger because younger people are more unwise.

  • @ToGodAloneBeTheGlory and i am a strong woman of God. my age doesn't define the wisdom he has put in me.

  • @KelNMelItsAWinWin Age doesn't define the wisdom God has put in you. Some 20 year olds have more wisdom than some 50 year olds. However, generally speaking, as we increase in years, we also increase in wisdom. Proverbs 16:31 Gray hair is a crown of glory; it is gained in a righteous life.

  • @ToGodAloneBeTheGlory Where does it say in the Bible that young people can't lead? We are called to share the Gospel, just like everyone else. Age doesn't matter. In fact, we HAVE had a 15 year old preach. Guess what, the sky didn't fall because of it

  • @dhenderson124 It never says in the Bible that young people can't lead. Everyone is called to share the Gospel. However, to say that age doesn't matter at all is foolish. 15 year olds shouldn't lead a bunch of 70 year olds in worship.

  • @ToGodAloneBeTheGlory i lead worship in YOUTH GROUP haha half the people there are older than me but only by a year or two

  • @KelNMelItsAWinWin And what I am suggesting is that worship be handed over to those who are older and more mature. There is no specific verse that prohibits 15 year olds from leading 70 years olds. However, as I continue to repeat, the overall wisdom of Scripture would point to the wisdom of letting older people take the lead. Job 12:12 Wisdom is with the aged, and understanding in length of days

  • @ToGodAloneBeTheGlory well that's absolutely true! worship should be lead be some one who is mature and ready that's one reason why I'm so pleased he called me to it at fifteen

  • @KelNMelItsAWinWin Young lady, what is your definition of mature?

  • @ToGodAloneBeTheGlory you still haven't given me any verses where it says 15 year olds cant lead 70 year olds in worship....

  • @ToGodAloneBeTheGlory I agree that 15 year olds shouldn't lead a bunch of 70 years olds. But I also don't think that a 70 year old should lead 15 year olds. At my church, on almost every sunday, the lead guitarist/vocalist is 18, the drummer is 15, the bass player/vocalist is 18, the acoustic guitarist(doesnt sing) is about 50, and the other vocalist is around 30. The lead our WHOLE congregation in worship. On wednesdays, we only have guitar, bass, and drums.

  • @dhenderson124 Why don't you believe that older people (like 70's) shouldn't lead teenagers?

  • @ToGodAloneBeTheGlory They're just so different.

  • @dhenderson124 Do you have a Bible verse supporting that? That is ridiculous to claim that the older people shouldn't be leading the younger people because they are "different."

  • @KelNMelItsAWinWin Read your Bible, if it's so important why is there a barrier between Youth Group and Adult service in most churches?

  • @kirbykirby101 can you explain what you mean?

  • Love the shirt! This is so true though.

  • It's funny becasue it's true!

  • keep pressing 2 :D

  • 1:11 - 1:14

    best part.

  • 1:10 - 1:14 hahahha!! This is epic.

  • Love the shirt dude

  • all youth groups are like this or they were like this shut up

  • 2:19 - 2:33

    HAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHa

  • My father won't let me do youth group. This does not help my cause. ;)

  • oh, how i hate that side hug! and you did it like a total creep too!

  • your eyebrows do the wave.

  • I don't wanna be able to touch my shoulders by the end of the month, so, yeah. :)

  • Times like these make me glad I'm Mormon. ;)

  • @SunnySkiesGirl Don't Mormons have youth group or something similar? I know it wouldnt be anything like the video, but still.

  • this is wrong!!!!! youth groups today are becoming more and more like this though! it is so sad! church is NOT for "hanging out" or "meeting cute girls" its for worshiping God!!! the whole crack/"joke" at the end about Jesus??? really??? @blimeycow you should be ashamed!!!

  • ahhh Have you been to my church cause you got it spot on

  • what's with the guy at the end? js

  • Ohhh! This is soo like my youthgroup!! I stoped going though.. :)

  • this is how i roll

    Sonic

    nice shirt

  • This offends me, sir. My Youth Group is awesome, and our Youth Pastor does his very best to keep it appropriate, and for me, Youth is the highlight of my week because I get to hang out with friends, but much more importantly, it does bring me closer to God. By the way, what kind of messed up Youth Pastor did you have to play those games?

  • @GXHaloMaster you are spot on! not all youth groups are like this! ours TOTALLY is not! its not right to make fun of it like this!

  • @GXHaloMaster This bro has his head on straight. So many people were like this in high school, it's not a matter of church leadership (I mean, yeah, honey if you love me and games like that are pushing it a little). It's a matter of the students. Youth group is not the issue he's comically addressing. It's the people in youth group that use it for social fun time, instead of corporate worship.

  • Haha, I could agree with a majority of this. And I actually am that obnoxious kid at the end that gets in everyone's face... BTW love the shirt!

  • I have the same shirt!!

  • Why is my youth group not like this?

  • @toedancing02 Ditto :-)

  • HAHA! Everyone press 6 over and over again.

  • I hope this has a little exageration, cus, I mean, I KNOW I go to a Baptist church, but NOBODY hugs besides the girls...

  • Thank you for making this video. I was starting to think I was the only one who noticed. XD Also, I'm tired of hearing that people wont go to church because its boring. It makes me sad that people are sooo ADD today that they can't even choose to fellowship with other Christians and help further they're relationship with God because they can't sit still for an hour. :\

  • @EmmaLikesThings come to mine!

  • I love my youth group

  • YOUR SHIRT MAKES ME HAPPY :D :D :D

  • "After all, Jesus went to youth group!" ..... "He didn't? Oh, that's why He was single." HAHAHA

  • so TRUE! lol!!!

  • LOL!!!!

  • Muahahaha! This is totally the opposite of my youth grooup!

  • I flipping love, love, LOVE 1:10

  • a magical time filled with beanbags, acne and sitting a little too close to the opposite sex"

    LOL

  • oh wow you rock why aren't we friends

  • I own that shirt.

  • lol

in every sense of the word

  • My youth group completely(:
